One of my favorite treats, where are the best?
I received this early this morning. Just me paying for breakfast at Angel’s Mexican Haven on Commerce. I guess the staff is now actively helping this woman harass and stalk me.
From Austin, in town for a conference in the TPC area (jw Marriott area). Looking to try something y'all would recommend in the area.
I'd probably lean towards texmex better than I can get in Austin or Asian.
No dietary restrictions.
I appreciate the recommendations!
Honestly so good. I hate to admit that I order these wings on Uber Eats every week 😭 The crispy wings + the pickled radish = chefs kiss 💋 Such a good combo
Does anyone know if there's a Chinese restaurant in San Antonio that cooks a dish called "pressed chicken?"
PRESSED CHICKEN - Breast of chicken dipped in egg batter, fried until golden brown, topped with mixed Chinese vegetables, gravy, and topped with crushed peanuts and green onion.
Also seen it as Hong Sue Chicken. I’m not that well-traveled but if I’ve been somewhere in the US, I’ve probably had Chinese food there. I love this dish. In the western Kentucky town of Paducah, a restaurant called Chong’s lists this “pressed chicken.” That’s where I fell in love with it. New Star restaurant on North Avenue in Elmwood Park, IL has it listed as Hong Sue. I couldn’t find it Chinatown Chicago, but I have a favorite there and rarely deviate from it.
Ideally tacos but open to anything.
Recommendations on where I can buy fresh made sofrito?
I know when I'm at a pizza place I prefer having fountain drinks over canned & bottled drinks, I want to know which are the best pizza places that serves fountain drinks.
Thank you!! It's a UNESCO Food City and I'm really looking forward to checking it out.
Hi y’all! I’m up to my eyebrows in stress about finding a dairy allergy friendly restaurant in town. We are visiting from Lockhart, which doesn’t have many restaurants outside of BBQ, so I’m not sure where to look. Most places don’t have allergen menu’s available online, so I’m asking for your wisdom!
My daughter has developed a dairy allergy resulting in full body hives, so we are trying to find somewhere we can go that she can have a meal also. We know Freebirds and Chuy’s is safe, but lately Chuy’s has been too “spicy” for her little taste buds. She isn’t too picky, she likes meat, beans, and vegetables, just can’t have any dairy.
Any recommendations on restaurants that are more dairy allergy friendly, outside of BBQ, would be amazing! Thank you! 🙏🏻
I'll be in town for a few days in the near future and am looking for some really good food. I'm from out of state, so I really want a good example of San Antonio food. Especially BBQ as I've always heard about TX BBQ being great. I'll be staying near the river walk, but am willing to drive a good bit if it's worth it.
Where can I buy a good cut of meat at near stone oak maybe some a5 waygu to cool at home
Saw during errands earlier this week that Scisciano Italia just opened in the plaza near us (Thousand Oaks/Nacogdoches) and we decided to order our Sunday pizza there. The pizza was actually really good, it is the closest I’ve had to NY pizza in a decade — but this place was super cute. Definitely date worthy. I took a copy of the menu and it’s massive. It’s worth checking out if you’re around it
So i want to make it official with the person i’m talking to and figured it would be cute to have those super small custom cakes made. I’m not from san antonio but we’re taking a trip up there in a couple of weeks and i need to figure out a way to plan everything asap! Was wondering if there are any bakery’s that do small custom cakes, preferably near the board walk area.
anyone know where i might be able to purchase some either fresh or frozen? i’ve looked all over austin without much luck… best i can find is jarred. thought i might have better luck searching in san antonio!
thank you in advance!
HEB seems out of them or way to expensive - any butcher or meat market recommendations ? Thank you
What are some good mom n pop pizza places around the stone oak area
I have a 4 month old baby and my in-laws are coming to visit and are going to want to go out (probably for dinner). Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants that are baby friendly? Thank you!
Just drove by and the shades were down and the lot empty. Is this recent? I only go every few months but I dont think it’s been that long since I’ve been there.
Edit. Does anyone know if the location was sold or are they opening up something new here.
Yall I’m pregnant and have been craving pozole 😭 do yall have any recommendations for the best Pozole in SA?? I will pay top dollar🤣
Just landed in your fine city! Looking for a place to get some decent food, but still want to see the football game. Downtown and assuming we’ll be near the Riverwalk.
Tacos or burgers preferably!
Any suggestions?
Hey Fellow Foodies! My weekend schedule is taking me to the Alamo Ranch exit around 10am-1pm for the near future.
I’d like to grab a local owned bite to eat. I’m open to most types of cuisines but would appreciate a cup of coffee that doesn’t break the bank.
Doing my best to support a decent small business owner!
Looking for something different in the 1604 area - don’t want to break the bank. Any cuisine is welcome but rather spend my $ in a small mom and pop kind of place than another chain
On the hunt for the best chilaquiles in SA. Panchos and Gringos downtown has delicious chilaquiles but we don’t live over there anymore so we don’t go :(. Any other places that have great chilaquiles?
Hello! I’m trying to get some suggestions for our work holiday party. Im looking for a place that accommodates 50-60 people including small kid (maybe a play ground) and available food/drinks individual buy themselves. For the past two years we’ve had it at a beer garden and it went very well the first year. The kids got to play on the playground and we played our holidays games. It wasn’t a private area or anything just a first come first serve to grab a picnic table and food was just pizzas at a food truck. Everyone loved it. But the second year, it rained and the place did not have a room big enough for us so it was a little crowded and not really kid friendly as it was mainly a bar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
