For the past few months, the base of my penis head would sometimes burn when I wash it with soap. It would come and go so I thought I was just washing too harshly. Today it burned again when I used soap and I noticed this sore.

My last hookup was back in early july but I wasn't the top, so I'm kinda wondering if it's an STD or not. The only contact my penis had with him was indirect, with me touching myself after I touched his penis. Part of me feels like it's not an STD since my mouth and bum are fine even though I engaged in oral and protected anal sex with the dude. Still asking out of curiosity though since it'll be a few days before my dermatologist comes back from vacation.

BTW, I took an HIV test exactly 90 days after that hookup, so I know it's not that at least.

I’ve been diagnosed with syphilis, and my doctor prescribed me the following medications:

1.Remycin (tetracycline)

2.Levofloxacin (500 mg)

3.Fluconazole (50 mg)

I understand that penicillin is the standard treatment for syphilis, but my doctor opted for this combination instead. I don’t know if it’s because of a penicillin allergy (which I don’t recall having) or for some other reason.

From what I’ve researched, Remycin might be used as a second-line treatment, but I’m confused about why Levofloxacin (an antibiotic) and Fluconazole (an antifungal) are included.

Is this combination effective for treating syphilis, or should I get a second opinion?

I ended up reading this sub and the more I read the less I want to have sex. I do everything with condom but I still feel something will go wrong. It is like it makes me less open to meet new people. (M, straight)

I have done my research and I think I am comfortable with it. However what I don’t know is or can’t figure out is if I should tell future and current partners that I’ve slept with someone with hsv1?

I partly feel obliged to but also feel what’s the point if I don’t know for sure if I’ve even contracted it or if I have it anyway?

I had unprotected sex 4 months ago. I tested negative 3 times using rapid blood pricking tests (Abbott Bioline, Surecheck), including one from a vein, and all results were negative. However, I noticed swollen lymph nodes in the 2nd month post-exposure, and they persist until now. I've manifested many symptoms (if assessing based on my anxiety, I could say almost all of them, but no high fever). The swollen lymph nodes are still present, which adds to my anxiety. I also tested using a self-testing kit, and the result was clearly non-reactive at the 3-month mark. Should I still be worried?

I 21m have a lump that release a white substance when I press it. Is it something to be worried about? What are the possible reason for this?

Post title says it all. I had gonorrhea symptoms (pain when urinating and discharge from penis). Went to the clinic. Took a test but they decided to start me on treatment the same day - shot to butt and 7 days of antibiotics.

Symptoms dissipated the same day as the shot / first antibiotic. Disappeared after a couple of days. No other symptoms.

Can I have sex (with condom) once I’ve finished the course of antibiotics? Which will be 7 days.

Note I’m waiting for the test result but I’m guessing it’ll be positive as it was taken before any treatment…which I am hoping has cleared it up.

I’m going to just start off by saying I have been diagnosed with Hsv-1. When I took the test it came back that I didn’t have Hsv-2 or at least no antibodies, however my value for Hsv-1 was so high at 41. My test results came back October 22 of this year. I don’t know if it was a false test for Hsv-2 (tested negative for antibodies) but I have been having these red marks (painless) over the head of my penis on and off since the diagnosis. I’ve been taking antiviral medication and was thinking my symptoms were FINALLY going away. No marks on penis. All mouth sores having disappeared and I thought maybe I’m ok and my (first) outbreak was finally over. I just met this girl and mannnn. She seems like the one. I didn’t believe in love at first site till I met her. She ended up coming over to my house and we got very comfortable very fast. Letting my hormones and lust take over we had sex. We have been kissing and had sex twice (First time being the night she came over) (Second being the following morning). Before our first encounter I wasn’t having any symptoms. From what I can see. I checked my penis and it was CLEAR. After we had sex ALL my symptoms started coming back. So ive just recently done some testing but while waiting id like answeres if anyones had the same experience.
