I found a ring today on the sidewalk in Downtown Redwood City. If you think it might be yours, please message me with a detailed description and/or photo of it.
I’m looking to get a Brazilian blowout and was wondering if anyone had any salon suggestions. I would prefer in Redwood City, but am willing to go to other places in the Bay Area if needed. Thanks!
Police in Redwood City have arrested a man suspected of swiping a package off a porch that contained a woman’s expensive wedding dress, the department said.
There were probably 10-15 police cars chasing a vehicle around 4pm, which ended up pulling into the motel parking lot across from Target and the police cars all piled in behind him. Lots of people were filming it on their phones so I assumed it would be covered by local news outlets but I can't find any info about it! Anyone know what happened?
Hi yall. I was wondering if any bus in redwood city near the pine stop goes directly to sfo? I keep seeing the signs that say bus, Bart, bus & bus bart.. But is there any bus that goes directly there. I would like to be able to ride and just get there instead of having to take multiple things to get there. Basically 1 bus to sfo.

Hey everyone,
Just had a spooky encounter tonight driving home from Safeway. As I passed by the little tent village that recently popped up, someone suddenly dashed in front of my car in the dark, forcing me to brake really hard. Left me quite shaken.
Has anyone else had similar experiences in the area? Hoping the city will address this situation soon for everyone's safety.
Hi coming for the day what are the must do's
I like wine I like the out doors and local establishments if possible would you share your recommendations?
Bryant Alberto Palacios Zuniga went missing on April 2nd, 2024 from Redwood City, CA.
Bryant Palacios lived in Santa Rosa, CA all his childhood until the age of eighteen. He graduated from UC Davis in 2020 with a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a dream to become a Doctor. That same year he found a job in Redwood City in a laboratory where he has worked for over 3 years.
Bryant is a kind, respectful, caring, smart, athletic, friendly, funny and hard-working young person. He is a role model to his three young siblings who have looked up to Bryant for his charismatic, fearless, and strong personality.
His vehicle was found abandoned in Nogales, AZ.

With six votes in favor and one against, the Redwood City Council authorized the use and purchase of military equipment for the city’s Police Department, with the purpose of helping to de-escalate critical incidents and support the safety of agents and the community.
I looked at https://webgis.redwoodcity.org/community/ and there are large chunks of unincorporated land on either side of Redwood City. And when I click on these addresses in google maps, they show up with Redwood City addresses. Does anyone know what's going on with these places?
“Thief steals wedding dress and ruins wedding plans! Can you ID?” police said in a news release on Monday.
Has anyone lived at this place and could tell me more about their experience? How much is the rent for 1b1b and 2b2b? What's it like living there? Are there income restrictions? Any issues? Amenities? Thanks :)
Hey everyone,
We recently relocated to Redwood City and are considering investing in a water filtration system for our home. We're particularly concerned about the water quality, especially with a baby in the house. Currently, we boil water for the little one and rely on a Brita filter for ourselves. However, I'm thinking of upgrading to a reverse osmosis (RO) system under the sink for added purity.
I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations, especially if you've installed an RO system. Additionally, I'm contemplating whether it's worth investing in a whole-house softener and/or carbon filter for improved hair and skin health, as well as appliance efficiency. We've received quotes from EcoWater (Costco recommended) and another plumbing company, both exceeding $10k for the work.
Would you say it's worth the investment? Any suggestions, recommendations, or insights would be greatly appreciated!
My family is thinking about getting a home battery (already have solar). Does anyone have an installer they would recommend?
I need a handful of pine needles for a gift I’m preparing. Thank you!
How much do you pay for fire hazard insurance, and which carrier? CA Fair? State farm? I am planning to put an offer on a property which is in the VHFHSZ (local responsibility).
Anyone know what the chances are when you’re districted for a different school in RWC?
I don't follow GreatSchools ratings as they are misleading, thus wanted to check here. Are Clifford and Roy Cloud really good schools? How hard is it to get into Northstar? I heard Northstar admissions are lottery based :(.
Hi! I’m 17 weeks- anyone know of any prenatal groups in the Peninsula? Would be great to connect with other expectant mothers.
I recently moved to RWC and noticed that the Red Morton Gym has "drop-in badminton" hours listed at 12:30 PM on Saturdays. I was wondering if anyone here has been there before and/or would be interested in joining me for a game on weekends.
I'm (25M) an intermediate player (extremely out of practice) looking to get back in the game. Shoot me a DM if you're interested!
New to the area and looking for recommendations for a reasonably-priced hair cut in the area. A few months ago in RWC, I got a partial highlight and spent ~$300…. but I walked out with wet hair, because a blow dry would have been more 🫠
Where I used to live, I’d get my hair cut, fully highlighted, blown out, and dried for $200 including tip… and I thought that was a lot!
Any suggestions? TIA! 😊
We’re trying to get a young man (21) - with no employment history - a beginning job in Redwood City. He has mild autism but would be great with jobs that provide direction and guidance. Does anyone have any suggestions? He needs to get out and experience the world.
Any resources or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
For the people who live here, I have to visit Redwood City for the first time in my life for a doctors appointment. I have to be at the Stanford medical offices, is there a good and safe hotel near that location? I could stay in Newark but being I have to be there at least by 9:30 so I can find the place and park I’d rather not risk dealing with morning traffic on the bridge.
Thank you in advance.
I was in the area months ago and there was a toy dump in the parking lot. Is it still there?
Is this part of Jefferson ave busy? Wondering if 280 traffic uses this route over Farm Hill Blvd. Looking to buy/rent in this area. Thanks.
What are your thoughts on Redwood Shores? I saw a few nice looking apartments.
