Stuffie

Quirk Name: Stuffie

Quirk Type: Mutant

Quirk Description: The user is a bipdeal stuffed teddy bear, the quirk makes the user about 7 feet, with a much bigger body, arms and head with stubby feet (like baymax) while still having function organs and the usual body parts

Quirk Abilities:

  1. Increase strength: The user has a much higher increased strength level and with them being so plush and soft, its meant as a way to knock back enemies, but the users max strength is around 3/4 of All Mights max strength in comparison

  2. Damage Reduction: because of the user physical form, all organs and bones are covered by cotton, and skin made from a much more durable fabric, making the user almost fully immune to any blunt attacks

  3. Pushiness: The user is incredible soft, probably the worlds best hero for rescues, and also the best hugs too :D

  4. Cotton Expelle: The user is able to throw up cotton, using the cotton to fix up injuries of others or themselves, plus can be used as a good distraction

Quirk Weaknesses:

  1. Definitely not indestructible: the user is able to survive almost any blunt attack, but attacks involving sharp tools or weapons, and fire, making them pretty vulnerable to a lot of other quirks

  2. Mobility: the quirk does cause tbe user to have stubby legs, they can't run without struggle and can have more trouble turning

  3. The Kirishima effect: the user is simply a stuffed bear, its not flashy and they can do anything more then what they are built off of

Callback

Hero Name: Anchor

Quirk Name: Callback

Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Range: Contact

Quirk Description: This quirk grants the user the ability to teleport any object or person they've physically punched with a designated hand directly to their current location. The user must consciously activate the quirk on one of their hands. After activation, the next object or person the user punches with that hand becomes "linked" to it. Only one object or person can be linked to each hand at a time. Once an object or person is linked, the user can "Call" it back to their location. This is likely an instantaneous teleportation. The only ways to unlink an object or person is if the user links that hand to a different object or person or if the he user dies. Can quickly reposition allies or objects for strategic advantage in combat. Can recover lost or misplaced items with ease. Can quickly isolate or capture enemies by teleporting them to a confined space. Can teleport allies into advantageous positions for surprise attacks. Can quickly retrieve a grappling hook or other escape tool. Can teleport a shield or other defensive object to protect themselves. Can be used for a wide range of situations, from combat and exploration to everyday tasks. The user uses their quirk for support and close combat.

Limitations: The user must be able to physically punch the object or person to link it. The user must consciously activate the quirk on each hand, which could create a delay in crucial situations. Only one object or person can be linked per hand, limiting the user's multitasking abilities. Once linked, an object or person remains linked until the user relinks the hand or dies, which could have unintended consequences.

Chain Reaction

Hero Name: Steel Serpent

Quirk Name: Chain Reaction

Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Range: Close to Medium Range

Quirk Description: The user can manipulate the length and density of their kusarigama's chain. This allows for a wide range of combat options, from close-quarters grappling to long-range attacks. The user can extend the chain to great lengths, allowing for long-range attacks, grappling, and entangling opponents from a distance. They can also shorten the chain for close-quarters combat and increased maneuverability. The user can increase the density of the chain, making it incredibly heavy and forceful for devastating blows. This can be used to crush, constrict, or even shatter objects. The combination of length and density manipulation allows for a wide range of combat strategies. The user can create barriers, entanglements, and traps, or use the chain as a whip or flail for powerful attacks. The user uses their quirk for ranged support and combat.

Limitations: Increasing the chain's density significantly reduces its effective range due to the increased weight and momentum. Maintaining control over the chain at longer distances can be challenging, potentially leading to unintended consequences. Extended use of the quirk, especially at high densities, can put a strain on the user's body.

Dimensonal Drafting

This quirk allows the user to conjure a pen that they can use to draw or illustrate something strictly three dimensional, the ink of said pen only being visible to the user, is constantly stuck to the space it was drawn upon and can run out after a certain amount of usage. The pen can also be destroyed by other individuals which also deletes the entire draft that the user has made. The ink refills itself fully a day after it runs out. They can then turn or generate their illustrations into real non-living matter. The user has to draw the lines of the object on the space where they want the object to actually be generated, basically requiring movement to different locations while drawing, especially with bigger objects. The state of matter the illustration will turn into once it becomes real matter, is also randomly picked, however they can pick the materials used, with a maximum mixture of 3 materials from the state of matter they get. However, the emotions that the user is currently feeling about their draft affect the chances of the state of matter the illustration they generate gets, with positive emotions giving higher chances of gas, average emotions yielding more liquid, and negative emotions for higher chances of solids. Plasma on the other hand is constant with a 0.1% chance of being generated.

Fissure (Emitter)

Woah, woah, woah! Stop causing earthquakes!

The user can create immense amounts of tectonic pressure in order to create earthquakes.

Prolonged use of this will lead to tiredness and/or exhaustion. The user is not immune to the earthquakes, so they may get injured themselves.

This quirk has no singularities and no awakening.

Quiver

Hero Name: Quiver

Quirk Name: Quiver

Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Range: Contact

Quirk Description: This quirk allows the user to transform any object within a specific volume or a single individual into an arrow. This transformation can be reversed in two ways(automatic and manual). The object reverts to its original form upon reaching a certain threshold of speed. The user can manually reverse the transformation by touching the arrow. The user can utilize a bow (or similar launching device) to fire these transformed arrows at targets. The arrows maintain their arrow-like properties (sharp tip, aerodynamic shape) for accurate and powerful projectiles. The user can transform allies into arrows and fire them towards distant locations, overcoming limitations in range and mobility for the team. The user uses their quirk for ranged support and combat.

Limitations: The user has a limited volume within which they can activate their quirk. This restricts the size and number of objects they can transform simultaneously. The automatic reversion to original form depends on achieving a specific speed. If the arrow does not reach this speed (e.g., if it's intercepted or its trajectory is obstructed), it may remain in arrow form indefinitely. Requires physical contact with the transformed arrow, potentially putting the user in harm's way. Transforming allies into arrows could potentially cause discomfort or even injury if not executed carefully.

Cauterize

Quirk Name: Cauterize
Quirk Type: Emitter
Quirk Description: The user can cause their hands to ignite with bright red flames. These flames do not burn the user nor affect non-living matter.
When the user touches a living target with these flames, it causes a burning pain in that target while simultaneously accelerating the target's healing. Increasing the intensity of the flames causes the target greater pain but amplifies the healing effect.

Quirk Weaknesses
-Overuse causes burns and blisters on the user's own hands and arms.
-The user cannot apply the healing effect to themselves.
-If used too much on allies, it can cause debilitating amounts of pain, even as it mends their injuries.
-When used on enemies for its pain effect, it heals any injuries that the enemy has.

Crescent Moon

Heavenly Blade Hero: Seraphina

Quirk Name: Crescent Moon

Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Range: Close to Medium Range

Quirk Description: Crescent Moon is an Emitter-type Quirk that allows the user to manifest and manipulate a crescent-shaped energy blade that extends from the tip of their Naginata. This energy blade is a manifestation of the user's internal energy, taking on a shimmering, ethereal appearance. The user can materialize the crescent-shaped blade at will, adjusting its size and shape to suit the situation. The user can extend, retract, and maneuver the blade with precision, using it for a variety of offensive and defensive techniques. The user can channel their internal energy into the blade, increasing its power and cutting force. This can be used to enhance the blade's destructive capabilities or to create special effects, such as increased speed or a temporary energy shield. The blade's adaptability allows for a wide range of combat applications, including slashing/thrusting attacks, defensive maneuvers, and ranged attacks. The user uses their quirk for medium and close ranged combat.

Limitations: Sustaining the energy blade and utilizing its enhanced abilities requires a significant amount of energy. Prolonged use can lead to fatigue and potential exhaustion. Precise control over the blade's size, shape, and movement requires practice and focus. Inaccurate control can lead to unintended consequences or even self-inflicted injuries. Strong winds or other environmental disturbances can affect the blade's stability and trajectory, potentially limiting its effectiveness.

Do you guys explain HOW your Quirks work?

This is something I've noticed along almost every post on this sub: Of course Quirks are important to know what they do and their drawbacks, but there is no explaining about how Quirks work. At all. And I think this is something relevant within the MHA verse.

Let's take Kirishima's as an example.

What do his Quirk do? It hardens his muscles.
Its drawback? He can't move.
And why he can't? Because how his Quirk works: he maxes-out his muscular tension to make them almost undestructible, they become so tense he can't move at all. He can't even blink during his "Unbreakable" state!

Let's also take an OC of mine who is the mc of my upcoming fic.

Quirk name: Electrosync
What it does: It lets her use electricity to both energize objets and control them via contactless.
How does this Quirk work? Her braincells create an excess on electric signal. This overload is freed through her nerves, and she releases as it was another appendice of her own body. Imagine blowing through your hands, except it's not air but pure electricity.

raw energy (repost bc the other oe's format was messed up)

Raw energy- allows the user to control the tides of the universe, but mainly destructive and creative. The user is able to convert their physical stamina into life energy; healing, creating, heightened senses, and good defensive abilities. Alternatively, the user can use death energy. Death energy breaks down the user's body on the cellular level. The user can do things such as see others' energy, destroy things on an atomic level, use any sort of destructive property (rusting, cracking, vaporizing, etc.), heightened speed and agility, and overall good offensive abilities. This Quirk also comes with 5 shifts:

Galaxy (red): destroys and repairs in an instant, allowing for a surge of energy

Shift(orange): shifts energy into other things (Ex: Destructive energy to fire)

Body(pink): energy flows with the body, requires the Bodys' movements to control, default energy state

Soul(blue): strikes the soul and vital points of the victim but requires more energy than usual Mind (purple): allows for more precise attacks, along with controlling the energy from further away. Requires intense focus.

These are only possible because the user is a medium. There are two entities within the user: creation (jun) and destruction (aku). These twos' powers combine into the user, allowing for both of their powers and the user's universe tide control. The user is able to switch bodies with the two entities

Eldritch gate

This quirk allows the user to make a dark portal no larger than a meter in circumference. From the portal they can either let out tentacles to restrain or hurt anything they can reach (about up to 10m) or shoot out dark orbs at targets.

Drawbacks: it requires a lot of stamina to keep open for long times, that and user doesn't have full control of the projectiles meaning an allied can get hurt in crossfire

Satyr Physiology

Quirk Name: Satyr Physiology

Quirk Type: Mutant

Overview Satyr Physiology is a Mutant-type Quirk that grants the user the physical traits and aptitudes of a mythological satyr. From the waist down, the user has goat-like legs with cloven hooves, giving them enhanced agility, leaping power, and balance. They also sprout short, curling horns atop their head, which can serve as a natural weapon and a partial focus for Quirk techniques. This physiology inherently alters the user’s internal structure, providing increased stamina and a heightened sense of hearing and smell. Although the user appears more animalistic, they remain fully sentient and human-like in terms of speech, reason, and personality. Like many Mutant Quirk users, they cannot turn their Quirk on or off. Their physical appearance remains consistent from birth, often requiring them to navigate everyday life with specialized clothing and footwear.

Physical Attributes & Enhancements;

1.	Enhanced Legs & Hooves
•	Jumping Power: The spring-like musculature in the user’s goat legs grants them extraordinary jumping capabilities. They can easily leap several stories vertically or bound large distances horizontally.
•	Agility & Speed: Digitigrade leg structure provides superior agility. The user has outstanding footwork, making them adept at quick direction changes and sudden sprints.
•	Cloven Hooves: The hooves can traverse uneven terrain with minimal noise, beneficial for stealth. Hooves also serve as makeshift weapons in close combat via powerful kicks.
2.	Goat Horns
•	Natural Weapons: The horns can deliver ramming attacks or be used to block incoming strikes. Their density is slightly higher than human bone, making them difficult to break.
•	Focus for Sound/Vibrations: The horns, due to their internal structure, can help the user sense subtle vibrations and changes in the air, somewhat enhancing situational awareness.
3.	Satyr Senses
•	Enhanced Hearing & Smell: Inherited from goat-like physiology, the user can pick up faint noises or track scents in their environment. This heightened sensitivity is a double-edged sword in loud or overwhelming environments.
•	Improved Stamina: Satyrs in myth are known for their endurance in festivities and dancing. The user gains a moderate boost to overall stamina, recovering from fatigue a bit faster than a normal human;

Quirk Techniques 1. Faun’s Leap • Description: Leveraging their springy leg muscles, the user can launch themselves high into the air at incredible speeds or bound across rooftops. This technique is perfect for reconnaissance, mobility in crowded areas, or aerial advantage in battle. • Application: Used primarily for quick escapes, overhead attacks, and mobility across complex terrain. The user can also vault over large obstacles or surprise an opponent with an aerial strike. 2. Pan’s Charge • Description: By tensing their leg muscles and leaning forward, the user barrels ahead at high speed in a ramming assault, leading with their horns or shoulder. • Application: Ideal for breaking enemy formations or pushing back stronger foes. The horns provide a focal point for the impact. The user can also incorporate flips or spins mid-charge to generate momentum for follow-up kicks. 3. Cloven Kick • Description: A powerful double-kick using the hooves, usually aimed at an opponent’s torso or legs. The shock can send adversaries flying back or break through weaker defenses. • Application: Extremely versatile in close combat. The user can combo Cloven Kick after a Pan’s Charge or use it as a finishing strike. A downward stomp variation can crack stone or break through thin metal floors.

Sleeves

Hero Name: Ziplock, The Storage Hero

Quirk: Sleeves
Sleeves gives the user "sleeves" around their wrists (like they're wearing a long sleeve shirt) which allow the user to store any inorganic object inside them into a void that only they can access. The user can store weapons and gadgets in them and pull them out when needed in battle.

The user cannot store organic materials such as people inside of them, however.

The more items stored in the void, the faster the user's stamina drops, so the user must consistently train to be able to keep up with and improve their quirk. With the proper training and practice, the user can store more and larger items inside their void.

Imprint

The quirk “Imprint” allows the user to imbue any living or non-living object they touch with a specific property or characteristic they have personally experienced. These properties can range from physical traits (such as elasticity, sharpness, or heat) to abstract effects (such as stickiness, magnetism, or vibration). The user must have directly encountered the property at least once in their life to imprint it. For instance, if the user has experienced extreme cold, they can imbue an object with freezing properties, but they cannot create effects they have no firsthand experience with, such as radiation or complex chemical reactions they’ve never encountered.

Fun but stupid quirk idea.

Quirk: Condiment - The quirk allows the user to produce condiments from their fingers, with a specific condiment coming from each finger

Right hand:

  • Thumb: Mayo
  • Index: Ketchup
  • Middle: Mustard
  • Ring: Duck Sauce
  • Pinky: Honey

Left hand

  • Thumb: Relish
  • Index: Ranch
  • Middle: BBQ
  • Ring: Soy Sauce
  • Pinky: Hot Sauce

If you had this quirk, what would come out of your fingers.

Another load of quirks because you lot don't pay attention

Maul (Emitter)

Ever been so angry you just throw red glowing hands at everyone you see?

The user can omit their anger into a tangible fist (formally referred to as a Rage Fist) capable of punches that don strength excess of 650 PSI and/or 300 newtons of force. Multiple fists can be created with enough anger to spare. However, each fist requires literal drainage of the user's anger, and too much drainage will cause the user to let their guard slip away. Also, these Rage Fists can only go so far from the user – specifically, they must remain in a fifty-metre radius of the user, else they will quickly decompose due to sheer instability.

This quirk has no singularities.

Awakening – Overmaul: The user goes into a blind rage, seemingly able to generate an infinite amount of fists without having even a fraction of that anger drained. The fists are also much stronger and are stable enough to travel anywhere. However, this whole thing also means that the user is untamed in nature, and will not hesitate to fiercely rebel against anyone who tries to overpower them.

Lightspeed Reflex (Mutant)

Doo, doodoodoodoo, doo doooo doooo- Can't touch this!

The owner has truly lightning fast reflexes. This extends to the point they can dodge a bullet that they don't even realise is coming half the time it's moving. They could even catch it.

This quirk has no singularities and no awakening.

Microscopic (Transformation)

Downsizing. Literally.

The user can shrink down to the size of a micro-organism. Time, from their point of view, will move very slowly (about 10% speed according to calculations and voluntary experiments), meaning they can avoid being crushed by anything so long as they're paying attention to their surroundings. They also retain their strength, stamina and durability, so even if they do get "crushed", they might actually survive this under loose conditions. They can regrow back to original size, but no more. There is no size in between normal and microscopic that the user can shrink to.

This quirk has no singularities and no awakening.

Reflective (Emitter)

Mirror, mirror, on the wall...

The user can turn any solid surface into a one that reflects a mirror's glass. These surfaces are in no way magical.

This quirk has no singularities and no awakening.

"Oh, come on you all, I had to make at least one unpowerful quirk! Also, I'm trying my best with the puns, okay?!"

Through The Looking Glass (Emitter)

oMg, Is ThAt An AlIcE iN wOnDeRlAnD rEfErEnCe???

The user can warp anything, including themselves, through mirrors – almost as if they are portals to a parallel dimension just like ours...

Singularity 1 – Mirror Mode: The user can flip the perspective of everything – right becomes left, and left becomes right.

This quirk has no awakening.

"There! I made a strong quirk to go with the weak quirk! You're all happy, right?!"

The Machine (Mutant)

Aw yeah, we got ourselves a robot kaiju fight!

When the owner is born, they will be a robot of around the same size as they would have otherwise been. However, they will grow very quickly as time goes on, up to seventy feet tall at full size. They will grow up with gaps in their body, though these can be filled by weapons such as blades, sawblades, guns, cannons, or the like. This is something people with the Mechanic quirk will love to be invested in.

This quirk has no singularities and no awakening.

Revival Blessing (Emitter)

You guys. Yes, you, you dirty Necrophiles. Get out. NOW.

The user can bring one person back from the dead. This takes up a lot of energy, and is advised to only be used up to once daily.

Singularity 1 – Life Steal: In the event that the user's current stamina levels barely match those required to enact a revival, or more commonly if the user is about to die, they can instead steal someone's life from them. This takes just as much energy, so it's safer to give it to themselves.

Awakening – Rise And Shine: If the user does die, their life essence will spread across the world, reviving all who have died in the last seven days.

Resonance

The User converts kinetic impacts into vibration rendering them immune to physical attacks (below a certain threshold) and allowing them to automatically counter attack.

When the User’s quirk first manifested the Shockwaves they produced were uncontrolled emanating out all around them in a ring- eventually they learned to limit the vibrational output to specific parts of their body as a form of control.

Strengths:

Near immunity to kinetic based attacks.

The ability to automatically counter attack anyone why tries to use a kinetic attack.

Weaknesses:

The User can only handle so much energy at a time and going beyond that threshold can allow them to be injured.

The User has no resistance to other forms of attack.

Touch Mimicry

Quirk Name: Touch Mimicry

Quirk Type: Transformation

Quirk Range: Contact

Quirk Description:This quirk grants the user the ability to alter their physical appearance to perfectly resemble anyone they have physically touched. The transformation is instantaneous and can be maintained for as long as the user desires. The user can mimic not only the target's facial features, but also their body shape, height, weight, and even specific physical characteristics like scars, tattoos, or unique markings. The user can assume the identity of others to gather information or gain access to restricted areas. The user can confuse and disorient opponents by changing their appearance mid-battle. The user uses their quirk for stealth and close combat.

Limitations: The user must physically touch the target person to activate the transformation. The user can only mimic individuals they have personally encountered. Prolonged or frequent use of the quirk can lead to mental fatigue and potential headaches. The user cannot mimic the target's superpowers or abilities, only their physical appearance.

Copy x copy quirk

So for the 8 year timeskip in the manga, I figured I’d make a kid for my oc x canon ship but I’m having trouble figuring out what the kid’s quirk could be? I’m not really looking for the kid to inherit one or the other quirk (so no: he just gets a quirk from one of his parents).

His parents are Monoma Neito, you already know his quirk, and my oc, Mikumo, whose quirk I’ll detail below. Any ideas for a kid whose parents both kinda have copy quirks?

Mikumo’s quirk:

Quirk function: Transmutation allows Mikumo to copy and transform quirks through touch alone by having all five fingers on their skin. Once he’s touched a person, the hole in his palm will open up and a dark red aura will cover his hand. From there, he can pull your quirk into himself, indicated by the aura getting brighter, and it will be transformed into a new quirk for him to use the next time he decides to try out his newly formed quirk.

Quirk abilities: upon touching a person skin to skin with all five fingers, the cut on the center of Mikumo’s palm will open up to reveal a mouth that has dark red aura seeping out of it. This aura saps away at a quirk’s natural factor and twists it into something else. The aura steadily changes into the color of the quirk it’s copying. (An example could be recovery girl’s quirk, the dark red aura turns green). He can also combine quirks of his into a single quirk.

Quirk weaknesses and drawbacks: the quirk requires Mikumo to touch you on the skin directly with all five of his fingers. Alongside this, Mikumo cannot copy the same type of quirk so if he already has a fire quirk copied, he can't copy another fire quirk and after copying a quirk, there's a five minute cooldown where he's quirkless. Because of his body's limits, the quirk only lets him use three quirks at a time.

To sum Mikumo’s quirk up, when he touches you with five fingers, he copies and twists your quirk into something else (a new quirk, so to speak) and because his quirk slots are three quirks at a time, he can combine three quirks to create a “single” quirk and leave two slots open. For example, copying Katsuki’s quirk turns “explosion” into “fireworks” where instead of shooting explosions from his palms/body, Mikumo is limited to flicking his finger forward and basically “flicking” out explosions. Another example is recovery girl where instead of kissing and taking the target’s stamina, Mikumo’s hands glow green and the quirk takes his stamina to heal the target. Similarly, copying Kurogiri’s Quirk allows him to create anything into a warp by touching it with his hand engulfed in mist or turn himself into a warp. Copying a quirk that just lets you create a barrier around yourself and change the size/position allows Mikumo to instead change the shape and size of a barrier and trap other people in it such as using prison cages, spheres, shrinking barriers, trapping other people and himself, etc.

Lung Pistol

Quirk Name: Lung Pistol

Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Range: 40 meters

Quirk Description: The user can manipulate the air within their lungs to generate pressurized air bullets that they can fire from their fingertips. The tips of their fingers resemble the barrel of a pistol, allowing for precise aiming and firing. The size, power, and range of the air bullets are determined by the amount of air the user can compress within their lungs. The user can attack from a distance or close range, making them adaptable in various combat situations. The finger-barrels allow for accurate aiming, enabling the user to target specific points. By increasing the air pressure within their lungs, the user can deliver powerful, concussive blows. The user uses their quirk for mid-range combat.

Limitations: The user's lung capacity limits the number and power of the air bullets they can fire. Extended use of the quirk can lead to fatigue and shortness of breath. Strong winds and high humidity can reduce the effectiveness of the air bullets. The quirk is less effective in close-range combat, as the user may struggle to aim and fire accurately. The quirk primarily focuses on offensive abilities, leaving the user vulnerable to physical attacks. Opponents with quirks that can manipulate air or create barriers could potentially neutralize the user's attacks.

Quirk name?

I need a name for this quirk:

The user can use the electrolytes within his body to greatly enhance his physical speed, agility and even healing to superhuman levels. Able to move at Mach speeds.

Snowbody

  • Quirk Name: Snowbody
  • Quirk Type: Transformation
  • Quirk Range: Self
  • Quirk Description: The user’s body can transform into snow. When in their transformed state, the user becomes semi-intangible. They are able to control their density and hardness to powder snow or crushed snow and any physical damage in this form does not hurt them.
  • Miscellaneous Quirk Info: The user can also make basic constructs extending from themselves, however it is mainly used to make themselves into a snow man, make igloo's etc.

Super Speed Ideas

So, I have this hero called Silver Blur and I have his quirk as super speed. As far as I’ve had him, I’ve only seen his quirk as basically flash super speed. But, I’m not feeling it as much anymore now that I’ve been fleshing out other characters. Again, nothin bad with basic super speed, but I’m trying to see if there’s any way to make it interesting. Examples could be like kinetic energy, powerful legs, even overclock and engine (with how they are unique in giving the user super speed)

If you have any ideas, or even are open to sharing quirks you’ve made that fit this, please do tell

Hello everyone hope you are having a great day

This challenge is basically when someone comments a quirk, you need to comment your quirk and then combine the 2 quirks. So have fun with this, you all.
