When I apply for internships will they see the F or will it be replaced. I'm hearing different things and not sure what/how it'll affect my internship results.
If I come here I am planning to major in CS, ive done good in school (near 4.0 took all the hard classes they offered) and i know how to code and code for fun in my free time.
How much time per week will I have to do? How much busywork can I expect? How many bad teachers can I expect? How well do they teach most classes here? What's the best internship u know someone got?
I currently am dual enrolled at a CC for my last year in highschool and so far all my CS courses have not been well taught and they just give boring labs that are a complete waste of time
I am applying to Ph.D. in Statistics at Purdue as an international applicant. May I ask whether there is an interview round? Do you have any experience relating to this?
Thank you so much
1 year contract $100M Let’s go!
Regarding open registration - If you put yourself on a course waitlist, does it mean you don’t need to hover/constantly check in to see if a seat opens up? Or should you do both (waitlist, as well as “hovering”)?

Does anyone know what previous year's curves were for this class. I am sitting at an 86 going into the final what can I expect?
Hi, I'm a 25 y/o international prospective student. So, long story short, I'm a business major but just realise what I want to do with my life basically lol and I've been researching schools for interior design and Purdue has been one of my top list in general. But I'm not particularly good at drawing, more like I've never really practised but I love art and really believe that I could do something with this major. The thing is I've always been intimidated by US tuition fees and living expense but I missed the early admission so I miss the FAFSA as well?? Please share the overall experience of an "adult" international student, especially in ID major and if that is a popular major or not, if it's really worth it or not, any kind of opinion is welcome.
I’m a chem major getting a forensics minor, and my advisor has reccomended i take entm 128 this spring semester even though it doesn’t count for my minor. He says it would be a good introductory class, and on the one hand i agree with him and it would probably be good for my gpa, but i also took a year of forensics in high school. Should i skip straight to entm 22810 or stick with entm 128?
Hey, I accidentally cut myself pretty bad and am wondering where I can go for treatment that isn't a hospital. Is there some nurse's office equivalent here at Purdue or a place you can go to get first aid, even late at night? Thanks.
Winter got me confused.
Does anyone have experience taking POL 335 with Professor Woods? Is it an easy workload and are there any big papers to do in the class? Similarly, how is the workload for HIST 30505 with Atkinson? And are the classes mandatory to attend?

I know there's 38 of you guys, someone please get in contact with me.
It's officially been 2 whole years since I've acquired this life-sized cookie of Mitch Daniels at his "we're naming this street after me" party. I'm going to be honest, id anticipated the overwhelming essence of Mitch's legacy (the good and the bad) would have spiritually CRUSHED this thing like a bug underneath the overwhelming might of the purdue football team ᵂᵉ ʲᵘˢᵗ ʷᵉⁿᵗ ⁰⁻⁶⁶ ᵃᵍᵃᶦⁿˢᵗ ᴵᵁ but instead it seems to have been preserved as if it were a late saint. Perhaps this is due to me literally keeping this thing with my actual valuables, but in any case it seems I will be graduating long before it's demise. Yet this task I take to heart, as for all I know this may be the last remaining.
Anyone taken Spanish 224 instead of 202? Just need to get my language credits done and was wondering if anyone has input. Thanks.

How competitive is it? I’m in a commonwealth campus of penn state. I probably will have a 4.0 for first semester, but I don’t have any experience or projects. How likely am I get into it?
Purdue Parking told me they don’t run out of C parking permits…except I just checked a few days ago and contacted them and apparently they are out. Great. Is there anyone who is graduating after the fall with a C permit willing to help me secure their C permit? I took a semester off, and I really need a C permit to get to school.
I keep hearing someone rev their truck outside my apartment, but it seems like they’re not being able to move? I’m not sure if it’s related to the weather, but how are the roads? I had to scrap ice off my window earlier after shopping for only 20 minutes. I’m assuming with the freezing temps it’s all frozen on the roads, has anyone been on them to confirm?
Every second counts I don't wanna talk to you anymore, and All these little games You can call me by the name I gave you Yesterday, yeah Every minute counts I don't wanna watch TV anymore, yeah Can you figure me out? Has anyone had a 2k1 class with either professors Qi or Hashemi? Who would you recommend?
Trying to decide between these two electives. I've taken 337, and my decision really comes down to these two since I need another elective and have already taken 404 and 40862 (unless there is another easy elective I could take)
between OS and 437, what is the difference in workload, difficulty, or usefulness in content?
Any recommendation or opinion is welcome!
I didn’t know there was a deadline to get a Purdue cap and gown. Apparently I missed the deadline I’m graduating in 2 weeks and it says I’m required to have a Purdue approved cap and gown. What should I do?
If anyone is into photography and getting paid, we like to surf lake michigan and are looking for people who would be interested in coming up with us to take some photos.
The piers in lake michigan are water level and usually reach right into the lineup which makes getting photos significantly easier than normal ocean surf photography.
We're planning to head up this thursday but we go somewhat frequently so shoot a DM if your interested
Hi all! Posting for future students who would like info on classes/profs:) BTW not trying to be mean to any profs, simply stating my experience.
CGT 112 with Triplett: - Basically all you do is listen to prof rant for 2 hours and draw a sketch given no help. You turn in sketches Tues and Thurs. You can just skip class and do it from home. Huge random projects due throughout the semester with very specific guidelines for no reason. Got docked for formatting the doc of combinations of sketches. Learned absolutely nothing from this class which is expected. Not going to say much about the prof, the majority of reviews on ratemyprofessor speak volumes :). Anyways, this is a good class to boost gpa if you're fine with spending time drawing for a few hours a couple times a semester and two weekly sketches (can be bad, graded on completion). Overall rating= 7/10 (7 points for class, 0 for professor).
CGT 123 with Mukanova: - Learn basics of animation. Only offered at 7:30 because of it being a small major class. Recommend going because animation is hard but no attendance points are counted. Every week a new animation is "demonstrated" (she goes way too fast, have to youtube a better tutorial later). Pretty tiring and boring. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so tired. Hard for beginners because of learning new programs etc. but not terrible. You spend a lot of hours learning and being on computer. Overall rating= 6/10 (3 for class, 3 for professor). Don't take for easy gpa boost.
CGT 141 with Morales: - Learn basics of coding (html, javascript, etc.). BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Didn't have to take first midterm because I simply showed up to lecture and he said if we showed up that day that we could get a 100%. Very kind and funny prof. Doesn't take attendance, believes that we are paying so we decide what we learn and that will determine how well we do. Weekly labs. Easy. End of semester project is pretty hard because we're learning how to do things not taught but it's okay I doubt he'll grade harshly. Overall rating=9/10 (1 for class, 8 for professor). Wouldn't take for gpa boost if you don't have coding experience. If you do, take this. So easy. Lab attendance is taken but not put in gradebook, unsure why it's taken.
CGT 116 with Triplett: - Again, look at ratemyprofessor to see his style of teaching... :/ anyways, in this you get to learn basics of modeling. Attendance is required and a decent chunk of the grade. In class, he answers questions and rants about stuff not relevant. I never go. Great class if you're looking for a good nap spot:) Everything taught is through youtube videos that stretch well over hours long. And you have to pause to keep up with it. I think the concept of the class is fun but how it is taught and how the professor has such a strict grading it's no longer useful. Really strict on attendance in this class and for no reason. Overall rating= -2/10 (4 for class, -6 for professor)
PHYS 220 with Lewicki: - I have no experience in physics. The most math I have is MA 158. I think that is why I struggle so much. Math is not my thing, nor is applying formulas to word problems. The content started to get really hard halfway through and I got lost from there. I gave up at that point, due to having a lot of work with the other classes. Didn't attend second midterm. Really stupid of me, but I learned my lesson. Retaking it next sem. Other people in the class will pass but likely to get a low C from what I've heard. The professor is normal. The courseload is a lot. Weekly quizzes, weekly homework (hard, not taught in class how to do word problems), weekly lecture warm-ups, weekly prelab. Labs are submitted in class which is nice. Exam reviews given are nothing like the actual exams. Help room does not help, they are not allowed to tell you directly how to arrive at an answer, so it's back and forth for an hour of "you're on the right track." Get a tutor instead. I'm not going to rate since I'm biased.
Hey all.
I'm a Econ BA major freshman and have 17 credits over the next semester. I really want to round out my classes, and wanted to know if there are any good 1 credit classes which are not restricted to majors available. I know there's a couple of phy ed classes, but they all require additional payment. Any thoughts?
Thank you!
