Hi everyone. I'm an undergrad junior at another school interested in applying here for graduate school. I have a few questions about grad admissions here for the CS and ECE department:
- Is the admission by committee or by individual faculty?
- What are the typical caliber for masters and phd students here?
- As a CS student undergrad, would there be difficulty applying to ECE department?
- I have until fall to prepare. What would be best use of this time?
Hey guys!I just got accepted at Purdue for an MS in AAE. I'm an international student and all the professors I've reached out to have some or other International student restriction. I can't get funding without a supervisor. Can y'all help by maybe recommending some proff or any other helpful advice pls??? thanksss

Has anyone here attended the pharmacy balls? If so, are there a lot of people that go? And what are they like?
I am looking to purchase a new vehicle, but where could i go to get a dorm parking permit this time of year? I checked the website and it just says that there are none available to buy right now.
Hi
I’m transferring to Purdue in Fall 2026. What ensembles/musical opportunities does the campus offer? Any links/information are welcome 🙂
Strong desire to play Just Dance. That's it
It’s only week 4.
To complete the housing application I have to fill out the roommate section. Am I able to change my roommate bio later? I don’t want it to be locked in to whatever I type right now.
Incoming senior deciding between Minnesota and Purdue for MechE. I like big cities but also Purdue is more highly regarded than MN is for engineering.
I was wondering what "fun" stuff is there to do in and around campus? I am good at exploring and finding things but I was wondering if there is enough to supplement my time in between classes and studying and such?
I got into JMHC if that makes a difference
Thanks!
Hi everybody. I am taking ECE 2k1, ECE 2k7, ECE 270, ECE 264, ENGR 132, and MA 266 and I am feeling very overwhelmed with all my ECE courses. I feel like I have a very loose idea what's going on in them and I don't know how to continue. I would hopefully like to do well in all of them, so how should I continue to ensure I do well in my classes?
I’m an incoming freshman oos into pro flight, just wondering what it is like getting from campus to the airport without a car (for the first year at least). I’ll definitely have classes there and flight lessons, and I’ve heard there’s a shuttle/bus. How much should i rely on that?
Also any additional information about the pro flight program beyond what is available on Purdue’s websites would be super helpful!
btw thinking to stay in women in polytechnic or aviation LLC, any thoughts?
Do I go to expo if im CS? Some people are saying it's only for engineering students others are saying to give it a shot. I want to go but I don't want to look stupid if I'm the only CS major there.
I’ve had two occasions now where I’ve sold and transferred a ticket via studentseats, but the buyer never accepted the transfer, even after I reminded them multiple times. I did get paid both times.
I’m worried about studentseats coming back and charging me because of the other person complaining that they never received their ticket.
Is there anything I can do?? I have reached out to customer support multiple times with no response. Could I get charged even though I did everything right?
Will not be using studentseats again :/
This conflict started August 2nd when the dictator of Indiana University Bloomington invaded a small and helpless neighbor. Purdue University -- a member of the Arab League and a member of the United Nations -- was crushed; its people, brutalized. Five months ago, Saddam Hussein started this cruel war against Purdue University. Tonight, the battle has been joined.
This military action, taken in accord with United Nations resolutions and with the consent of the United States Congress, follows months of constant and virtually endless diplomatic activity on the part of the United Nations, the United States, and many, many other countries.
Has someone taken or is taking currently eaps 221 traditional with Andrea orton, please lmk
Is there a place to keep your winter jacket after you enter the Corec for the EXPO career fair? I’m probably going to need one since I have to walk a good distance and it will be cold outside.
Also would it look unprofessional to hold a water bottle or be wearing a backpack?
Is it normal to be struggling in 182 like I’m doing the quiz and I’m second guessing myself and it leads me to not do as I expected on the quiz is this normal. In 240 I haven’t really been struggling as much or at all in some cases
Hey! As the title says, I'm trying to take ME 200 over the summer, but was wondering if anyone had taken it recently at another school as a "visiting student" and transfer the credit in to avoid the GPA impact.
Looking on the transfer portal, there's a decent number of schools that ME200 transfers into, and checking at least some of them seem to transfer back to Purdue from the equivalent course.
Anyone have any recommendations of places to look to take it over the summer, or is it any easier at Purdue to take it over the summer?
They have won a conference game, something that our football team failed to do at all last season.
Congratulations!!
Was Logan Paul on campus last night after his WWE show in indy?
title. ive seen Xu has high ratings on rmp but i have no clue if they're actually good in the summer as well. also, for 241, all the exams are open book/etc. so i was reccomended to do that as well. im already taking thermo so i wasn't looking to double up on both, so i was wondering if anyone has taken either over the summer they could give insight, thanks!
Hi Everyone! I just wanna know how long it takes usually to hear from the admission team after interview about their decision.
Don’t want to overextend during first year (yeah I'm nervous as hell about T2M), but definitely want to get experience with some of the design clubs. Is participating in groups like epic and VIP necessary or can I get right into some of the engineering clubs? I’m especially interested in Purdue orbital and PSP to get hands-on experience. I’m also considering living in the engineering LLC for bands/orchestra (concert band/ensembles) so I want to make sure I can juggle it all.
Are the meal plans available to Grad students living off campus. If yes, do we have to pay for the whole plan upfront or is it monthly/semester wise or yearly. Also, is it feasible if your apartment is more than 10 mins walk?
Also, are there halal options for food at dining halls?
What is the unlimited plan?
Hey guys i got in FYE as an international. Is it normal if I havent seen anything on my new student task list yet? Im waiting to accept my offer and pay the deposit to request I-20 and complete vaccination asap. Thanks.
