If you're secular, then maybe this post isn't really for you, but as a Christian, I was reminded of something very valuable today.
We have to love our enemies.
My local CPC, and I know it isn't just mine, had their director come speak at my Church today, because it's apart of a series we are doing, where ministries we support come and speak.
We call it the Heart of God.
She spoke about how the CPC offers post-abortion care and continues to help the women even after they get an abortion and in all future pregnancies.
I think this is so important.
I think abortion is demonic. It is the greatest evil perpetuated today. Abortion is all the proof you need for Satan.
That there are people out there, some on this sub, actually arguing and defending this barbaric evil, truly believing it to be a good thing, is proof that Satan is a master at what he does.
He can get even mother's to butcher their own kids and have you believing it was the right thing to do.
But we can only fight that kind of evil with love, compassion, and kindness.
We have to remember that these women are victims, too. They are victims of a culture that promotes this evil. They are victims of trauma, victims of circumstance, and going through hard times.
Even if they weren't, as Christians, we still have to love them.
Because we are all sinners.
I think we need to remember that. It's important to keep in mind.
Hello,
I made a presentation on abortion that I would be happy to receive feedback on (as well as others can use any part that they would like!) I am pro-life, but I tried to use "correct" terminology such as "fetus" vs "child/baby" to reach more people. I did not get to edit as much as I want to, but thought I should post it before many will vote on Tuesday.

Both Kamala and Trump are now Pro-Choice. JD Vance was the first to admit before Trump that he would veto a federal abortion ban.
Don’t vote for either of them this election cycle. They are both the same on this issue. In 2016, Trump gave us Pence who he removed (we know why). There isn’t nothing for us in this administration for pro-lifers.
Kamala isn’t a good candidate. Trump feels like a vote for the craziness that was Stop the Steal and the craziness of MAGA. What’s the point of it either aren’t listening to the Pro-Life movement.
Edit: all you guys are falling into line and proving my point. Both Trump and Vance threw the movement under the bus. And you’re still voting for him.
I posted the following elsewhere. As I was posting, I began to reflect on the similarities between enslavement and abortion on demand.
Here is my post:
Slavery is evil and wrong. It’s based upon a dehumanization of people. It involves the strong and powerful determining the human status of a less powerful group, and thus stripping them of human rights and enslaving, raping or killing them at will.
This is precisely what happens with abortion on demand. A group of less powerful and vulnerable human beings have their human rights stripped from them by born people and thus they can be killed at will. It’s the same dehumanization process as in enslavement which is why some of the same defenses are used: the vulnerable human being is treated as if their value and status as a human being is solely determined by who has power over them.
That last sentence struck me because it clearly identifies how enslavement and abortion on demand are, to their core, the same process of dehumanization, exploitation and annihilation.
You know it’s bad when even pro-choicers have an issue with the pro-abortion media twisting the truth.
As we move towards Election Day, I'd like to remind people of some important things.
First of all, your vote matters. This election is very, very tight. Even if you think your district or state is a lock for one side or another, you should vote for pro-life candidates.
There are a number of reasons for this.
Make sure votes count for pro-life candidates everywhere there are pro-lifers, from the deepest red counties to the deepest blue urban areas.
Know the stances of all of the candidates on the ballot on the abortion issue as best as you can determine it. Vote for candidates that are pro-life, even if it is for town or county level offices like clerks or treasurers. You would be surprised where some future candidates come from.
YOU MAY LIVE IN A STATE WHERE YOU CAN BE RELEASED EARLY FROM WORK TO VOTE. Use that right.
Also, even if you don't live in such a state, you can always request time off to vote from an employer.
In either case, do give your bosses more than enough notice, please.
On Election Day....
Do NOT look at exit polls before you go vote. Look at them AFTERWARD.
Why you ask?
Because time and time again, exit polls have been shown to be flawed and people who look at them before they vote either become complacent or start despairing. That means that many of them don't vote.
This have been shown to swing close elections! DO NOT let your feelings about who is winning or losing change your willingness to get to that polling place and place your vote!
Let me say this again for the people in the rear....
IGNORE ALL ELECTION DAY POLLING UNTIL AFTER YOU VOTE!
For those of you who cannot get to the polls, get your mail-in ballots in by the deadline of your state. That may be "received by election day" or "postmarked by election day". I always suggest that you get them in so they are recieved by election day just to be sure they will be counted.
Some of you may not trust in mail in ballots. I don't personally believe that mail-in ballots are necessarily a problem, but I do want to make this clear, if you don't trust mail in ballots, then get your ass to the polls.
IF YOU NEED TRANSPORTATION TO THE POLLS, LOOK INTO SERVICES THAT CAN GET YOU TO THE POLLS. Both parties usually try to run transportation services to get to the polls. And bear in mind, as far as I know, they cannot demand that you be from their party to take advantage of them. So look into all possible transport options.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED! Some states do allow same day registration if you have ID, but don't count on it. Usually if you are registered you will have already received a sample ballot from your local election authority. If you have not, that may be an indication you are not on the election rolls. Take the time to determine this NOW!
REMEMBER YOUR PHOTO ID. Some states don't require photo ID for showing up to vote, and only for the registration, but do NOT count on it.
IF YOU FORGET YOUR ID: Request a "provisional ballot". This will be a vote you cast, but it will not count until you send in proof of citizenship later on. You will have some time to get your proof of citizenship in. Usually a couple of days after the election, but follow election official instructions for your area.
LET THE PARTY FUNCTIONARIES DEAL WITH ANY PERCIEVED ELECTION SHENANIGANS!!! Cast your vote peacefully and in an orderly fashion following all election regulations. Your role is to vote and observe. If you see issues, there are election monitors that will be on site for most elections. Note your observations, bring them to the monitors, and move on. Leave any battles about election fairness to the people prepared to fight those battles legally.
Finally.... let me repeat this for the people in the back. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY CLOSE ELECTION AT A CROSSROADS IN YOUR COUNTRY'S HISTORY.
NO NOT FAIL TO VOTE AND REGISTER YOUR PRO-LIFE VIEWPOINT AND SHOW THAT CONCERN FOR THE RIGHT TO LIFE OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS IS AN IMPORTANT AND CRITICAL MATTER FOR OUR NATION!
Thanks for reading. Get out there and let's get this done.
Hi everyone,
I know the topic of abortion is deeply personal and often divisive, especially for those who feel their faith calls them to protect life. But I wanted to share a perspective that might offer a more compassionate, empathetic approach to this complex issue – especially as we consider what Jesus himself taught.
While Jesus never directly addressed abortion in the New Testament, his teachings are full of messages about empathy, compassion, and meeting people where they are in their struggles. Here are a few examples of how Jesus’ approach to others can be interpreted as a call to support women who may feel scared, vulnerable, and in need of understanding when facing a difficult choice:
1. The Golden Rule: “Do to others what you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12). This teaching is a call to empathy and compassion, encouraging us to imagine ourselves in the shoes of others. For women facing a pregnancy they feel they can’t continue, this might mean offering understanding and support rather than judgment. The Golden Rule invites us to care for others’ burdens with kindness, even when we might not fully understand their choices.
2. Love and Non-judgment: “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone” (John 8:7). In this passage, Jesus responds to people ready to condemn a woman, reminding them to be humble and compassionate. Instead of judgment, he shows mercy. This story has powerful implications for how we treat those in difficult situations, including women who consider abortion. Jesus’ example suggests that we should approach others’ lives with understanding rather than harsh judgment.
3. Care for the Vulnerable: Jesus’ ministry is full of moments where he showed particular care for people in distress: the poor, the sick, the marginalized. This principle of caring for the vulnerable can apply to mothers who find themselves in overwhelming situations. Providing empathy, support, and resources can be a way to embody Jesus’ compassionate love for all people, including mothers who feel they have no other option.
4. Meeting People Where They Are: Jesus often met people in their own contexts, offering guidance and love rather than rigid rules. He understood that everyone’s journey is different. Perhaps this could be a reminder that each woman’s circumstances are unique, and her choices deserve thoughtful, empathetic consideration rather than blanket judgment.
Some Christians interpret Jesus’ teachings as promoting the sanctity of life in a way that emphasizes the unborn. Others see his message as a call to show radical compassion for all involved, especially those most vulnerable.
Could it be possible that a truly Christ-like approach to this issue includes both perspectives? Supporting life can also mean supporting the well-being, dignity, and autonomy of the mother. At the very least, considering these teachings might help us approach the topic with more empathy, kindness, and a desire to offer care over condemnation.
Curious to hear what others think – can we create more space for compassion and understanding on this issue within the faith community?
This is a sensitive topic, so please be kind in your responses. I’d love to keep this conversation respectful and rooted in the shared values of empathy and love that I think many of us hold.
Peace and blessings.
Obligatory: Not a Trump supporter - just for those in the future who will try to stalk my post history for Ammo).
It seems the dominant hot-button issue is "muh reproductive freedom!" and of course, it's working because people are losing their minds over it.
Nobody is worrying about "why tf are eggs so expensive?!" or how unaffordable everything is... it's all: b-but, muh right to filicide!!!
I'm an African American man. Try as they might, the democrats can no longer ignore the fact that Black support (in general, but black men in specific) is waning among their party. Instead of addressing the dissatisfaction, the democrats have been on a shame-tour among black voters. Barack called black men sexist and Michelle went on a: "Do better and show care about the women in your lives!" rant. Search it on YouTube if you haven't seen it already.
Then Cardi B comes out (and barely articulates) the script on her phone as she shouted about Reproductive freedom. Anyone who would otherwise not vote but only does so because of Cardi B probably isn't the wisest owl in the barn.
Anyway, the shaming tactic and obsession over this one issue is nuts! Sorry, I'm not being kept awake at night thinking: Omg, if I don't vote for Kamala some irresponsible woman will have to drive an entire state over to kill her baby! 🥺
No offense.
SNL star Cecily Strong. Her first child didn’t make it, but I’m sure this child will feel really lucky they weren’t killed in their mother’s womb! 😊 In all seriousness, a baby is a blessing so congrats on the new life of your second child
I'm a 24 year old woman, I have never voted ever I always stayed out of politics, but this year it looks like kamila will win, November 5th is my 25th birthday instead of partying I'm going to be voting.
If kamila wins abortion will have no limits, every woman who's voted admits they voted for the abortion side of things and don't care about whatever else she stands for, I don't like Trump as a person particularly but he was good for this country, and he is good for children and the unborn.
Harris doesn't care for the born children. Even if you don't believe in voting, vote this year please, lives literally depend on it.
Edit: I want to edit, I never vote because there's never a candidate that I like everything about them. However when Trump was president I was able to get insurance and government help while escaping my abuser, food stamps limits where higher so I was able to get food stamps, food costs were lower and the united states was getting out of debt, he also had abortion laws restricted more while in office.
Now I make too much for food stamps, and got kicked out of HUD housing because I didn't qualify. (Limits were 2,300 and supposedly we make 2,400 when our checks always come out to 900-950 bi weekly ) I wouldn't vote this year either but i can't just sit back as she allows trillions more deaths
I’m wondering if any prolifers have ever come across an argument that bridges the is-ought gap from “the fetus is viable at 24 weeks” to “therefore we ought be allowed to kill it before then and ought not be allowed to afterwards”. Also to any prochoicers who run bodily autonomy arguments and don’t want to die on some lethal abortion all 9 months hill, I would ask the same question.
Close to a year ago, my then GF aborted our baby. We had been together for about 1.5 years and although our relationship was somewhat rocky, I did love her.
She found out she was pregnant on a Friday evening. I had asked her to do a pregnancy test because her period was over a week due. It was a surprise for both of us, but She instantly said that she wanted to abort. I initially told her I would support her choice, whatever it would be. But I thought about it that night, and I realized that I could not live with myself if I let her abort.
The next day, I went to her place and I told her that I wanted to keep the baby... That it would be against my values to kill our child... And honestly, I loved her and I felt like it was a sort of blessing. She probably did not feel that way. She started saying how I was not fit to be a father, that I was cheap, immature; that if she kept the child, I would have to raise it by myself and she would fly out the country... Things escalated and we both said hurtful things to each other.
We did not talk on Sunday.
Monday, she went to the clinic. I accompanied her. She does not have a very good financial situation and she could not afford the abortion, so she needed me to pay for it. I asked her many times to reconsider her choice but she did not want to listen to me. I ended up paying for her abortion.
We broke up for a few weeks and then we got back together. She has a quite dysfunctional family and she needed my support. I felt useful, needed, important. I thought that maybe the reason for which she aborted was because she did not know any better, that it was because of what she went through. She eventually apologized for aborting...
We had a honeymoon for one or two months and then things started degrading again.
She had a pregnancy scare and she told me that if she ever got pregnant again, she would not hesitate to abort.
Eventually, she broke up with me. She said I was perfect, except I was cheap.
I tried getting back with her many times, but to no avail.
Then, I found a new girl. I am currently seeing her. I do my best to avoid repeating the same mistakes I did in my past relationship. I try to be more open about my feelings; I don't spend irresponsibly, but I don't hold back. She knows my story. She wants kids eventually. She is sweet. We have no fights - aside from the fact that she said that she worries that my ex will always be between me and her. And she is somewhat right.
I still think about my ex and the abortion everyday. I think about how she probably would have kept the baby if I had treated her the way that I am treating my current GF. I think about how I should have never paid for the abortion. I think about how I should have showed her how much I loved her instead of getting angry at her when she started insulting me - she was going through a stressful time. I think about how thing would have maybe been different if had been transparent with my feeling from the moment she discovered she was pregnant.
Everyday I think about re contacting her... I would like to repair the past. I don't do it because I don't want to hurt my GF and she is great. I honestly have nothing bad to say about her.
But I just can't get over what happened with my ex. I wonder sometimes if it is just my bruised ego, or if I am being a little b*tch and should move on... I feel it's unfair for my GF to be with me while I'm in this state of mind.
I don't know. My mother told to me to pray to God for peace and for my ex.
I don't know what to do.
TLDR: I can't get over the fact that my ex aborted our child close to a year ago. I am in a new relationship but I still think about it everyday. I want to repair the past. As my new relationship progresses, I get further and further from being able to back and do things over differently. It saddens me. I don't know what to do.
It has been suggested that pro-lifers, in response to Trump’s imperfect stance on abortion, not vote or vote for Kamala, as this would give us the opportunity to fix the republican party into a pro-life party again. While some in the movement have adopted this position, they are severely misguided, as a Kamala presidency would be a disaster for the pro-life movement.
Pro-lifers who are fine with letting Kamala win seem to have forgotten about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ruth was, for many years, an icon to many folks, both anti-life and pro-life. Her influence weakened the pro-life movement. It emboldened bloodthirsty anti-choicers. Ruth Bader-Ginsburg was very influential to the views of a lot of women, because she was the first woman to achieve the level of judicial prominence that she did. Kamala would be like Ruth on steroids if she wins.
Unless the Cook Political Report has rated your state Safe R or Safe D, please just suck it up and vote for Trump. If Cook has rated your state safe, the go ahead and vote for Terry or Sonski
If you need any more motivation please read listen to view of Joan Andrews Bel, a prolife political prisoner of the Biden administration https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/imprisoned-pro-lifer-joan-andrews-bell-endorses-donald-trump/
It's very clear that if Trump and the GOP lose, abortion will be a huge reason why. While they have tons of issues with women for a ton of valid reasons, polls show abortion access is way up on the list driving women away from the GOP.
So, let's say the GOP loses a ton of elections a few days from now. Is anyone else concerned about what this will say about the power of the pro-life voting block?
Obviously the primary concern will be what happens with abortion laws, but I can't help but think it'll show that we're a niche subgroup with very little political power. The GOP will have to abandon us to win elections (even more than they already have), and at best all we'll be able to do is act as spoilers for Republican candidates by not supporting them for being less pro-choice than we'd like.
Is it just me, or is this election kind've pro-life's last stand to show it's still an important voting block nationwide?
she kept bringing up rape as a reason to abort, kept bringing up things that have nothing to do with abortion, and saying children with down syndrome shouldn’t be born. then said this when her arguments weren’t working🫠
I’m just… at a loss. How are people this irresponsible. How are people just using abortion as birth control. Jesus Christ these people make all women look bad. To hell with the narrative that most abortions are rape, or life of the mother, or a situation of dire straits and desperation. Trust me, I’m sympathetic to those scenarios, I am, but let’s be honest. THESE are the women getting most abortions 🤦♀️
I don’t want to share too much for privacy’s sake. I just think you guys deserve some good news. One mother and one baby make all our efforts worth it. Keep going my friends. ❤️
If abortion abolitionists are right, then abortion isn’t wrong because it takes away a life but because it goes against God’s glory and will. As such, the value of an unborn life is only instrumental to the will.
Additionally under this view death should not be considered to be intrinsically bad and can be good if it follows the will.
One can criticize the normal pro life position for being too anthropocentric by emphasizing the value of human life instead of valuing the will and glory of God. Additionally its value of death being bad is a bias towards living and overemphasizes the state of biological and material existence.
I’m just curious on what y’all think of this
I’ll add a link the the source in the comments, but here’s how it’s relevant to the abortion discussion: basically eliminates the argument of saving mothers’ lives, showing that the difference made would at best be statistically insignificant.
Sorry if this comes across as cynical, I just thought it was an interesting and relevant stat.
IMO it's the perfect retort to give to give to people whose moral worldviews fit on a fortune in a cookie.
Just get ready for some mind-bending replies. Once someone told me that my opinion doesn't matter because I'm a man and can't get pregnant. I replied to her that means my opinion can actually be (potentially) objective, and actually makes it kind of better. She then accused me of sexism.
Yes I would say the same about abortion in cases of rape since edge cases are necessary to talk about. However it makes no sense that pro-choicers will always bring up rape and then say that late-term abortions are irrelevant because they only make up 1% of all abortions.
Mark Hamill has the gall to talk about bodily autonomy in an ad for Kamala Harris:
https://x.com/markhamill/status/1852491280548507878?s=46&t=ChJTdDycbxm0ouPGEj0wZg
He didn’t care about bodily autonomy when his son’s girlfriend got pregnant. According to her, the Hamills repeatedly pressured her to get an abortion. When the pressure failed, they set up a purported ultrasound which was actually and abortion. Fortunately, she refused:
https://nypost.com/2016/09/11/hamills-pressured-me-to-have-an-abortion-nathan-hamills-ex/
Pro-choicers make their arguments on a basis that the child isn't human and not developed enough to matter.
But there is a huge issue with this- if that child is not aborted and is born, those same arguments would sound so screwed up.
Let's say they are 18, a legal adult:
An 18-year-old was conceived in rape. They should be killed. (SEE PS BELOW)
An 18-year-old is homeless. They should be killed.
An 18-year-old is being abused. They should be killed.
An 18-year-old will have a hard life. They should be killed.
Does that sound messed up? Well, guess how you sound when you argue that for an unborn child?
******
PS: Yes, I know about the "discussion about rape" rule, I'm just using that as an example. I understand the rape exception argument despite not holding to it.
