Behind the Scenes Story: We met the drummer of Mourning High after they played a sick, venue packed set at the Whiskey A GO GO in LA. We mentioned how we are a band from Portland and he were like "Oh we are trying to book a show in portland!" Being me I was like "We gotchu" when we actually did not really...but somehow it all worked out and now we are playing f*ckin Polaris Hall?? shout out friends of noise. But it would mean a lot if y'all could check out the bands and possibly buy some tix to the show. It will be super sick and we can't wait, and we gotta fill this venue out!!
Much love,
- Chase and Dystoria
Hi all! My name's Joseph Mammarella, I'm a jazz fusion guitarist in Portland, and I've got an upcoming album that I'm trying to get reviewed. It's called "Unlimited: Live a the Goodfoot", features 3 original tracks as well as covers of tunes by Casiopea and the Chick Corea Elektric Band. This is instrumental, high energy, and guitar-led music with lots of improvisation. I released it on Bandcamp in October and it'll be out everywhere else December 13th. If anyone has any recommendations for publications to submit to please let me know!

I’m a local singer songwriter, turned 18 this year, and I’ve been wanting to get out there more. Even if it’s just knowing where to find folks who can collaborate on production and recording, does anyone have some advice? I also am more experienced in the writing side, I’m getting better with guitar and piano.
Please DM me if you’ll sell it - I’d love to go!
I like groups or artists ike Khruangbin, Future Islands, Bakar, Maya Jane Coles, Miles Davis, etc. Looking for smaller shows for 21+ that have a couple of openers to discover new music as well.
Where are y’all finding practice spaces? How much do they roughly cost?
We are looking for a new band member for a new project, to describe the music it would be post hardcore / melancholic punk kind of vibes.
Currently we have a drummer and a guitarist/vocalist and are looking for a bass player! we have a practice space too. We are down to earth kind of people and are looking for someone that can commit to one rehearsal per week and maybe 2 shows a month max. We are in our 30's.
The type of music we want to make is Inspired by Ovlov, Title Fight, Jawbreaker, Glitterer, Narrow Head, all under heaven and lots of other bands, but while we love these groups we do want to make something truly unique.
Sounds like something you are interested in? shoot me an email and I'll send you some demos!

Anyone want to get together and make weird, twangy alt rock? Think MJ Lenderman, 90s Wilco, etc.
I'm primarily a guitar player, but I'm also down to play bass. I can play country lead pretty well and used to do it professionally years ago as a hired gun for live shows, but I'm more into jamming with shoegazey pedals and arranging/cowriting than I am into playing traditional country or any kind of boomer-style leads/solos.
Ideally, I'd like to meet a singer-songwriter to collaborate with or a band that's mostly put together already. I've got plenty of half-finished songs, but I don't write a ton of lyrics and I'm not really interested in singing them anyway.
