Im wondering if you can rng manip static platinum legends on a 3ds. Does it affect anything?

Hello! im familiar with rng manipulating the gba and ds versions of pokemon but i was wondering if there was anyway to manipulate the new tcg pocket game? i read that someone created code sheet or whatever to estimate the cards they would receive before opening the packs, and it turns out it doesn't matter what pack you choose in the carousel or what have you, it will always be pre determined from the moment you click "open". my question is if there is a way to rng the packs you open? and if so how is this done? and what sort of experience would a new person interested in coding need to figure it out?

Hi, quick question for those in the subreddit who have shiny hunted WISHMKR Jirachi on retail equipment. I have been not setting my options before going through my runs (e.g. text speed, battle scene, etc.) to the same as my rschecksum. I saw that im a blissy was doing that in his stream of hunting for it, but it appears as though papa jefe does not pre-set these options in his video. Just looking for some clarification before doing more resets with either method. Thanks!

Hello, I just started doing RNG Manipulation in Fire Red to some great success. However, I wanted to go for a shiny Aerodactyl, and I was wondering if it's a bit more difficult than other static manips because the scientist moves.

Doesn't his movements increase the frame counter making it harder to hit the frame I want? Should I just move on to something else? Or maybe learn how to do TTV for it? Thanks.

Hi i have used vba rr before with no issues to rng manip eggs in emerald. ive also recently found a lua script for wild pokemon in frgl that gets them autmaticaly and thats so cool! And it was working perfectly yesterday but it doesnt work for gift pokemons. Today im trying to get the gift eevee and i know i have to do it manualy but because of the whole seed thing, i want to use save states, except it doesnt work. Ive tried going in to the folders options to tick off the write only, the save in authomatic and Flash 128K as ive seen online. To load my save file from my usual virtual boy i need to import the battery file and import the .sav file like that, it doesnt load it automatically. When i try to save a slot this shows up: Error creating file C:/.../Rojo_Fuego_esp.sav.

I remember using the save slots in my laptop when breeding, but now i tried and it doesnt work in the laptop either. The picture is from my stationary pc, where i moved my files and emulators because i use the laptop for university and i wanted to decluter it.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? its the only way to do late frames without having to wait for hours, or to try for the same frame again since the seed changes in each reset in FRGL.

I'am trying to rng a shiny 6iv adamant starter on Black 3DS, already calibrated and never miss my Timer0, Since RNGReporter doesn't cross PIDRNG and IV's methods, I am using like a modded version of RNGReporter to cross both methods, the research give me results on a table with seed and IV frame + shiny frame, then, I searched for seeds when IV frame == shiny frame, and got the shiny but not the IVs, Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

Hi, I am a little confuse about rng game with poke finder, there are two type of advance:

Held and pick up advance, think the held is when you need to put them in the day care and the pickup is when you pick up the egg from the old man, both change the frame with chatot.

Am I correct?

So I'm trying to RNG a few Shadow Pokemon in XD. Some of them belong to the same trainer, like Eldes and Greevil for example. Can I RNG all of their Shadow Pokemon with 1st Shadow Set and/or 1st Shadow Unset spreads?

Hey all, I am having a horrible time trying to successfully hit my head and pick up frames for egg manipulation. I have gotten so close about five times to hitting both simultaneously, but sometimes the egg man doesn't have an egg. I have gone about five times in a row to where he doesn't even have eggs. It is incredibly frustrating, and I no longer know what I am doing wrong. I have successfully RNGed many Pokemon at this point. Any suggestions on how to improve this method, note that I already watched imblisy's video on this many times. Thank you!

Hello! sorry to bother with this. I'm new to wild encounter rng, and am currently trying to get a shiny farfetchd on HG. I followed the most up-to-date blisy video, but the pokefinder UI has changed since, and I can't figure out by myself what I'm missing.

Now, this is what I'm having difficulties with. My takeaway is that 'advancements' translate to frames, which in my target pokemon's case would be 544, but the Generator tab doesn't show my target pokemon in that particular frame, nor does it show up while generating encounter results for the Seed I had to hit. https://imgur.com/JkSSswo

So now I'm a bit lost as to where I can confirm my target pokemon on this particular seed.

Hello! I am having a bit of trouble trying to nail down how RNG manip for wild Pokemon works, accomplished with the aid of ACE.

I was able to do it once in a quiet area, and I don't remember exactly the stats or the HP I was aiming for, but to be more specific it was this: I remember I was aiming for a shiny Bagon in Meteor Falls. I remember I was struggling to figure out if it was done via Method H-2 or H-4.

Anyways, I thought I would want to try my hand at other methods besides using Stationary Pokemon, or Method 1, again. I've been trying for a few months but am still confused on how to go about everything here. What I'm trying to do today is a shiny Slakoth 4IV Adamant, from Petalburg Woods (a relatively noisy area for NPC movement).

For the ACE side of things, I have my stable species for the English version, and used two of E-Sh4rk's scripts; Change and Freeze PRNG Seed, and his seed generator script so I can try and find the appropriate seed to bounce from. My target seed for Method H-2 was A6177941 (PID = A8D523ED), and what the seed generator script put out was to use seed 1BB4157C, or three cycles before triggering ACE. After entering the appropriate box codes, I went to the quietest area I could, saved and reset just to make sure, and triggered the ACE right after loading back in.

I attempted my run today, and I got very close to what I was looking for. My Slakoth is on advance 97655 (across all methods in the same seed, 53A8), and what I thought would be a Method 2 mon, exactly what I was looking for, I took it into PKHeX and checked, and it was actually generated via Method H-1. Granted if I edit it to the stats I'm expecting, the program spits out that it was generated via Method H-2, but I want to be able to get my mons without externally editing them.

SO! My ultimate question is; when using Sweet Scent, is it always Method H-1 that generates a Pokemon? I remember just earlier today watching an older video by im a blisy and he found his shiny Oddish by Method H-2 Sweet Scented. So, am I doing something wrong? I would really appreciate some help. I can even offer my current save file for anyone to take a look at through PokeGlitzer for any and all assistance... Thanks...

So I’m wanting to get some shiny pokemon in emerald and gen 4 and I wanna try to do some through rng manipulation but I don’t know how it works. If there’s a post or video with a good explanation for it that’d be of great help. A detailed comment would also be very appreciated!

So, I'm currently trying to manip a Milotic in Diamond, using Method J and a Good Rod. However, when I do a reset, my delays are always desynced.

Here's an example:
I have the year in RNG Reporter's Seed to Time set to 2024. The delay I need to hit is even. When I try to hit the delay, it comes up as an odd number.

I set the year in the Seed to Time as 2023. The delay is now odd. When I try to hit the delay, it comes up as an even number.

I am not changing the DS year during this process.

What's going on? My only theory is that it's something to do with my cartridge being bootleg, but other than that I'm stumped. It doesn't happen on my Soul Silver cart, which is a real cart, but is consistently an issue on Diamond.

A quick edit - I'm trying to hit seed 0a01082e, if that's something that is needed to figure this out.

I've done a bit of rng in gen 4 but really want to get a 0 atk iv shiny Reshiram; earliest available I believe is in ORAS. Any advice? I dont have custom firmware.

Using a CFW 3DS, with a rom of Black 2.

My issue is every time I try I always have to set Timer0 to 0000-FFFF because I get no results first time around, I also have to change Seconds to 1-59 because I wont get results from just expanding the Timer0 range. And to top it off, a few times I STILL got no results (which wastes a good 30 minutes waiting for results).

Even with the results I do get, they are extremely inconsistent (Actual Seconds being anywhere from +10 to -25 and Timer0’s being all over the place)

The only thing I’m doing differently then in Blisy’s video is that I’m catching the pokemon at a much earlier route but then checking their exact IVs with PKSM after.

Has anyone who’s done this on a modded 3DS or with a rom have any advice?

Hi, I'd like to know if every spread listed in PokeFinder's Searcher function is possible to get in Colosseum and XD using RNG?

Is whether or not it’s a shiny determined when you encounter it or do you have to knock out and rng when you defeat the champion like with the ivs?

I want to do a speedrun for every possible seed on gen 1, but I need to learn how gen 1 rng works.
