Is it good to start at a big gauge?

I am going to get a PA soon and I know I will want to stretch to at least 00, but I also know it’s a process of patience. I want to know if there are any disadvantages to starting bigger than is customary, at like a 4 or a 6. Also, is there anything I need to ask my piercer so I can be prepared for sizing up down the road without risk of meatotomy? I don’t want to rush the process, I just want to start fairly big and then let it happen naturally from there.

Somewhere I read that the piercing could be stronger if you start small and size up slowly because there will be more scar tissue, but then I also read that scar tissue is weaker than normal skin, and if you start bigger there’s less of a chance of tearing and it could settle in easier, so which is preferable and does it matter?

    Thank you!

8 months post-piercing, I just feel like something is off.

    Hi all,

Got my PA done back in February of this year and, for the most part, healing has gone well!

I started with stainless 8ga captive bead jewelry, and back in August did a jewelry seal to a 5/8" curved barbell, with a 5/16" and 3/8" ball.

Recently however, I've started noticing different issues, and had another jewelry swap to a shorter 9/16" curved bar, but still feel off. I also had a different piercer, same studio, do the swap as my original piercer is out on leave at the moment.

I understand these piercings will essentially stretch themselves while healing, but I am concerned that my piercer... Didn't really leave enough room between the piercing and urethra, as seen in the picture I'm posting.

I guess I'm just asking... After seeing the picture, what would you do here? Another downsize? Switch back to a ring over a barbell? Switch from stainless to titanium for lighter beads?

Take it out? (I doubt this option is the correct one)

    Size up - 7mm gauge

Having tried to soften the site of the piercing in a hot bath, tried to widen it with sounds, tonight was the night my 7mm ring, I've had in a drawer for months, just slipped in

Got some new piercings today. I saw some photos of a vertical guiche, and thought it looked super cool. So I got one 😊

Getting a wax - PA in or out?

    Hey guys,

I'm scheduled to get my dick and ass waxed by a professional for the first time next week. I wear a 6ga PA. For those who regularly go wax, do you usually take off the PA before the session? I would like to keep it in as I'm unapologetic proud of my PA, but I don't want to get any uncomfortable reaction. What was your experience like?

    Thanks a lot!

    Cheers

    Honest Curiosity

I've known my piercer for 12 years. How do you ask for a cock piercing? I assume you need to be soft, but what if you get hard? Is it awkward? How do you prep? Do you jerk beforehand? Just like, everything you wish you knew.

How is it pain wise to have a frenum / Jacobs ladder done?

Hello! My partner is curious about getting this type of piercing done, something like a Jacobs ladder/frenum ladder. He wants to know how the pain is and how the healing process is. He's currently got snake bites as well as his ears pierced. So he's had piercings in the past.

Also wanting to know if risk of infection is a huge concern while healing. Any information will be hugely appreciated!
