Not a lot of updates actually. I believe that no news is good news, especially when it comes to piercings. It had been a great but tbh a really boring healing process so far.
I had the jewelry replaced by my piercer over a month ago - from a titanium clicker (which was a little too decorative for an initial piercing) to a multicolored anodized titanium horseshoe (but otherwise a pretty plain one aside from it being colorful).
I was afraid it might cause an irritation being replaced too early. But I guess being done by a professional, it didn’t suffer that much and it seemed to bounce back to its normal healing progress after just a day. Never had bumps, which I like. There are times that I think it feels dry and itchy, so I minimized the amount of times cleaning them from twice a day to once a day to every other day only now, but I still let shower water run over it everyday.
My piercer (when he switched my jewelry) praised it and mentioned that its healing progress looked way better than what they would normally expect for a (then) two month old daith piercing. I of course take it as a compliment and I feel like such a good client. 😅
hi all! never had this with a piercing before, but i’ve only got two lobes and a nostril done so any advice would be appreciated!
i’ve had my helix done for just over 2 months (mid August), cleaned twice a day with saline spray up until a few weeks ago, labret jewelry, and i think externally threaded(??)
i noticed this little lump right up against it, and i moved it around a little to make sure it was actually there and not just a little swelling, and had a little blood come out for a few minutes, so didn’t know if i should be worried! also, i know these take awhile to heal, but thought i should mention its still a little sore? again, any help at all would be appreciated! thanks!
I’ve have my piercing a little over a year. It was healing completely fine and then I hit it on something awhile back and it’s here. I admit I wasn’t cleaning it like I should have when it first happened d/t work and being dead tired but I’ve been cleaning it x2 with NS, it’s improved a bit but is there anything else I can do to make it heal faster! Also there was a huge bump at the top of my ear too but that went away after
I just got the conch and flat and was just wondering if it looks alright. Also how long the healing process might be since I got 2 piercings together. My piercings also hurt alot more than any other i’ve gotten before (double helix, nose).
I don’t really know how to use Reddit lol. But I have a nose hoop and would like to see pics of ppl who have a hoop with a small stud on top of it (on the same nostril) 🤷🏻♀️
I need new piercing ideas. My ears are so bland.
Hi rook owners, just a few quick questions for ya hehe.
My rook is five days old, pierced with titanium and I’m doing all of the standard things: leaving it alone, not touching it unless I’m cleaning it, not sleeping on it, cleaning it with saline twice a day.
It gets soooooo sore after I clean it, is that normal? I haven’t had a cartilage piercing like this before and I think I’m over thinking it lol
Is the jewelry that was placed in there the correct size/ does the piercing itself look solid?
Also I have had a lot of blood crusties like daily is that normal? It doesn’t bleed while/ after I’m done cleaning it.
Thank you! Also, if you have any other recommendations for what I should get done in my ear, I would love to hear. I want to spice up my ears once this bad boy is healed!
I got my nose pierced on the 15 days ago, it feels healed. There was never any redness, crusted or anything. It was just barely tender during the first 2 days. Can I switch to a ring yet?
I got my bridge pierced 3 weeks ago. Its itchy and a little bit red. Not too much but i can see the difference. I wonder if its normal. I am using a antibacterial piercing spray and salty water. Also barbell is curved.
I all. I am God's favorite and have the perfect Snug anatomy. It pieced and healed easy for me. Now I have a conch piercing and wondering what is rhe best way to incorporate the two? Or how do I best balance out the real estate on my ear?
how can i get rid of this piercing bump? i’ve tried everything and it won’t go away.
One ear has a conch, flat, and two lobes, and the other one has 3 lobes but I’m looking to add another one to this ear! What would look good?
THANK YOU YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL! I saw your post and needed to try it for myself. I am currently lying on my brand new, perfectly puffed pillow ON MY SIDE comfortably!! Finally I can stop throwing out my shoulder using the crook of my arm to cradle my ear. THANK YOU!! 🙏🏽
It makes me feel so pretty. Nothing can make me feel more pretty and proud of myself and my body to heal these little decorations to my temple.
I’ve been wanting to get a tongue piercing but I’ve seen people talk about them causing damage to your teeth and gums. I need a graft in the front right now(hereditary) and my teeth are ok, not amazing but not really bad either. I’ve seen people talk about having acrylic balls, but I’m not sure if that makes much of a difference. Is there any way to minimise the damage they can cause? Or should I just say no to it over all?
I recently got my navel pierced about two months ago and this past week it started bleeding a little from the bottom hole and I thought it was fine but after that it bled again two more times after I showered. I am very close to just taking it out and I feel like removing it would decrease a lot of stress for me, but I am not sure what to do. I am leaning way more towards just taking it out permanently than leaving it in. What should I do?
I got my ears pierced earlier this year and only started changing them a month or so ago properly, switching between different styles and materials being stainless steel and steering silver. The other day I noticed this crease and it’s really been bothering me. Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice on the matter? Its currently been like this for a few days
Hey everyone,
Although we do our best to make the rules of this subreddit as clear as we can within the characters limits, we notice that sometimes there’s some confusion or misunderstanding about the rules.
In this post we want to clarify the most common misconceptions about rule number 5, No DIY.
Anything and everything involving DIY is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to*, anything advocating or instructing at-home piercings, reminiscing or cautionary tales. DIY piercing is incredibly dangerous, for a number of reasons. If you’re looking for help with a DIY piercing gone wrong, please go to your health care professional asap*
We thought this is an easy rule to understand but there are still some misconceptions.
misconception number one. The rule does not apply if I make a comment or post as a warning against DIY based on my own past (bad) experience with DIY.
Wrong, the rule applies to anything related to DIY. Whether it’s a warning, reminiscing about being young and stupid, lessons you learned along the way.
misconception number two. I’m a piercer or piercing apprentice so if I pierce myself and want to show of the results it doesn’t count as DIY.
wrong, unless you are verified as a piercer or piercing apprentice we do not know for certain that you are a piercer or piercing apprentice and your post will be considered as breaking the no DIY rule
We are not kidding ourselves, this rule will not prevent people from piercing themselves. We do however take a ferm stand against DIY piercings and simply won’t tolerate anything about it on this subreddit.
Most of the community seem to have the same opinion on DIY piercings or simply respect the rule and we want to thank you for reporting these posts and comments as fast as you do. As moderators we try our best to keep up with everything that gets posted, but we are only human. So if you see a post or comment that doesn’t follow the rules of this subreddit, please hit the report button, we rely on your help to keep this community awesome.
Hey, I'm getting a vertical labret in about seventeen days and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to share some tips and tricks if what should I should expect getting it first done and what should be done in the healing process. I've done some research on this beforehand but I'd like to hear it from people who have this piercing before and/ or have lip piercing in general.
Thank you <3 (also I'm not sure if this is the proper flair or not?)
