We live in an old home that has no closets at all whatsoever. No linen closet, no hall closet, no basement to store things in and the garage is damp. The absolute only place to make storage is in our master bedroom. We already have gotten rid of all dressers in there and only have shelving to put our clothes on. This works for us. Our bedroom is where we sleep, we don’t hang out in there so it doesn’t have to be pretty. Just functional.
I have been thinking of doing big heavy duty garage shelves along one wall and putting items in totes to store. Sheets, extra quilts and blankets, old photos of our kids, the baby books, winter coats and gear, etc. Right now our bedroom door stays shut because it’s absolutely horrendous in there and I just have totes stacked everywhere to store these items. I have decluttered and gotten rid of the majority but with 7 people we have a lot of stuff that fits nowhere else!
Does anyone have any recommendations for sturdy shelving that fits bigger totes? Or any other ideas to make storage where there is non. $$ isn’t an issue at all.
Thanks a million!
Just discovered this place, it's lovely to be here, among fellow organization lovers! For a few years now I keep reducing the number of items I have to manage and organizing what I have in different ways. I went through different ways of organizing my wardrobe, this is how it currently looks. The section I currently love the most is the one pictured. It contains this season's tops (many of these tops are all-year-round tops, for layering), casual dresses and skirts. Hope you like it as much as I do!
I'm very satisfied with how this all fit together
I am reorganizing my office library and wanted to put genre labels on the shelves where the different sections are. I was thinking of using these card holders and leaning it against the books bc I want them to be movable. Do any of you have any other cool ideas? I don't know if this is the right word but I want it to look classy vs fake and plastic.
I need help where to place my towel warmer. I have a vest design towel warmer.
Please help💀
It stresses me badly
Accidentally ordered perfectly colored push pins to support my certification roadmap.
The room feels cramped and cluttered. I'd prefer a more simple and organized look. Right now, there are two desks with computers and some games, but I'm thinking about removing the games and replacing them with a small cabinet for office supplies. What do you think? Anyway to reorganize this ?
The laundry room in our new home is coming together, but I’m finding it tricky to organize all my cleaning supplies. The accent wall in the back has potential, but it’s not the most accessible. I’ve already added two black floating shelves, and there’s a wooden shelf in the middle, but I’m still struggling to find spots for things like cleaning supplies, light bulbs, and the laundry basket.
To give you a sense of the space: there’s a door to the kitchen on the right, a 1/2 bathroom directly across from the washer and dryer, and the door to the garage on the left. So, there’s not a lot of extra room to work with.
I’d love any suggestions, and I’m happy to provide measurements if needed!
I work for a senior moving service and my boss wants me to take a class to become certified with NAPO, has anyone taken these? Just curious what it’s like!
The lazy susan and container beside it houses kids medicine for easy access. As you can see I have them organized by age with infant and kids medicine labeled. Our first aid kit IS this container and it helps so much to have these clear containers. We don’t ever let medicine expire bc we get what fits in these containers. We’re not big on constant medications but having some stocked is always good. Our dechokers are in the play area in an open container and the only items not here are vitamins.
Finally got this first aid cabinet at work organized. Not perfect but did the best I could with what I had and still satisfying!
All cabinets and drawers are currently empty!
Just renovated my old kitchen and before my roommates and I move everything back into the old ‘junk drawers’, I want to take this opportunity to like my best ‘kitchen organizational life’.
It feels very elementary to ask…but any tips/life hacks/general rules of kitchen organizing anyone has to share? Or any gadgets or tools that have led to success?
We gotta print some labels at work and would like to use this format but we can't figure out what type of label or label printer this is from.
All my exercise equipment was spread throughout the house and garage. Now it’s nice and organized and I’m motivated to use it!!
I’m a generally very organized person but recently I’ve appreciating these spaces more! Having these containers for spices makes it less likely for me to have to store spices in the original container bc the shaker is so small. I just have the things I need shakers for now and not every spice. If you’re interested I’d love to share other spaces in my home that I’ve organized to be functional for a family of 5. I also use these jars for loose leaf tea and coffee so it’s easier to scoop out of and I can see how much I have left. We buy bulk coffee and tea so this is the most convenient way to do things. The jars have nutritional facts and ingredients at the back.
It really gets me goin
I have my Keureg machine and coffee condiments, tea, etc ✨
Its next to the sink and stove for context✨
I love organizing but have not a clue on how to do so efficiently ✨
