Remember, Weather you're out one the range for the day or defending the Motherland, you're only as good as your weapon allows you to be! Keep in mind the 7.62x54r surplus ammunition is corrosive due to the salts used in the primers, and you need to clean your Obrez shortly after you're done shooting it. One of the best ways to do this is by pouring warm/hot water from the receiver and out the barrel, followed by a few oiled cleaning patches. There are other methods, but this one is quick and easy. Aside from that, treat it as you would any other firearm and strip it down to give it a good cleaning every now and again and you'll be enjoying your little fire-breather for years to come!
