As the title says, guitarist looking to start a band. Background on me: 25, trans woman, gigging experience, production experience, can play bass/drums if needed but much better at guitar (playing guitar for close to 10 years instead of 3ish for the others).

Looking to start a serious project (full time would be the ideal end goal but it's a long road to get there). I’ve been reaching out to other girls that have posted here since September 2024 and they always get back to me days or weeks later and then come back to me saying “sorry for being MIA” or “here’s my number text me instead” or “I’ve been too busy” and then I have to accommodate to their life by waiting on the sidelines and putting something I REALLY want to do on hold. Well, why post about looking for a band, if you’re too busy to get it done and then have people waiting by and putting their goals on pause because of you? Are girls just not serious enough, and should I start a band with guys or are they the same? Should I just be a solo artist?

Hi, I'm looking to form a goth/deathrock/ethereal wave band.

Looking for drummer, guitarist and co-vocalist, all who I want to contribute with songwriting/composing.

Looking to make music that takes cues from early Cocteau Twins, Bauhaus, Slowdive, and 45 Grave, Lycia, Mephisto Walz to name some better-known bands.

Looking for competent musicians who are familiar with gothic rock and the scene, you don't have to be great or anything (I am a self-taught intermediate player, skill-wise) but I'd prefer you having previous experience with being in bands and gigging (I have never been in a band or gigged before outside of a DIY house show, so I lack the experience and need direction and help).

I will handle bass guitar and lyrics, some of the vocals, and mixing but I really want the songwriting/composition to be a collaborative effort.

For lyrical themes I want to write very personal lyrics/themes from my own life, which is why I want to take the role of lyricist and primary vocalist. However, I also want to write non-personal lyrics too about various topics. In some songs, I would like them to be almost comedic maybe.
