Has anyone ever used the writing center before? When I tried to set up an appointment to have my paper reviewed all the appointments were times I couldn't make because I work a 9 to 5. Are drop-ins allowed or is it by appointment only? I've never used the writing center before.

Hey guys, I feel like every class syllabus says the exact same thing about attendance, maybe because the college requires it to be that way, but I feel like in reality some professors don’t really care if you miss class a few times here or there, as long as you do whatever work/other stuff you might’ve missed. What do y’all think?

Here’s my schedule for the semester:

Monday & Wednesday: 10:00am–10:50am: ECON 201 2:00pm–3:15pm: ENGL 102

Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30am–10:45am: BSAD 210 1:00pm–3:40pm: Ceramics

Friday: 10:00am–10:50am: ECON 201

I put this together because I checked out the professors, and they have some of the best ratings. The schedule seems kinda manageable. What do you guys think? Any advice? Does it look solid, or…??

Why do all the physics professors have low ratings. Should I just take the class another semester and hope for better teachers?

I plan on taking CHEM 203: Orgo I in the Spring Semester of 2025. I heard James Lipchock was one of the best professors but the commute for me personally, is very far (need to wake up at 5:30 and leave the house at 6:30). Has anyone else taken any other good Orgo I professors in the other campuses (T and R)? I know Orgo in general is a very difficult class, but I hope to have a professor who isn’t too unforgiving.. Any recommendations or experiences from anyone who had a pretty fair/good experience with any other professors? My options are Cory A Newman, Fotis Nifiatis, Soumya Rastogi with Regina A Easley for lab. Thanks!

I am not sure where to start. I was wondering if it would it be a good idea to take online coding class at MC? Is this a good first step considering my career in the future? UMBC Student - want to take cmsc 203-204 for UMD credit in hopes of transferring. Can anyone walk me through the application process at MC? I spoke to a UMBC advisor and found out permisison isnt required as I'm not transferring the courses to UMBC. I have the pre reqs for the courses and was wondering how to do an application with the intent of only taking these two courses. If someone can help me I'd appreciate it
