What if marvel sell Miracleman rights to other comic book companies like Titan, Oni press, IDW or Boom

Everyone, seeing that Marvel has been releasing each issues of Miracleman the silver age on a long irregular schedule and that they focus on their characters (the one created by Stan Lee like spider-man, avengers and more),

What if Marvel will sell the rights of miracleman to other comic book companies like Titan comics, Oni press IDW or Boom, so that they will promote and reprint old Miracleman classics faithfully and even let Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham finish off their trilogy with the dark age which instead of single issues (that marvel will never promote and let it be released) it will be a big graphic novel instead.

Kid Miracleman

The moment I saw Tom Dwan (the professional poker player) I thought that is Kid Miracleman right there - he totally has the look!).

What do you all think?

Silver Age #7, what did you think...?

(Avoid if you dont want spoilers!)

First impressions:

-shorter than I would have wanted, but thats been the way of things :/

-the general plot is what many expected for Dicky; the last page draws another character in too, but is it all in his head or is something else going on?

-DD seemed to be drawn taller than before, and is the grey suit with black tie a foreshadowing?

-Why Petra? Its ancient, sure, and beautiful. Is it because of the Burgon connection? Did DD learn of him in school, or read of Petra in Tin Tin?

-there's going to be a battle in the Dark Age. I hope we'll see it.....

What would be the best way to bring Miracleman to life?

What kind of adaptation should Miracleman and the Meracleman family get when the time comes?

It DOES NOT have to be the Alan Moore version.

what would happen if Kid Miracleman returned? How could they stop him this time?

A question I've wondered for over 20 years.

Given the carnage caused by Kid Miracleman in London in Issue #15 (something that traumatised me so much as a teenager I still remember it to this day), can you imagine the chaos that would be unleashed if they actually finished the series and he came back?

What awesome superpowers do you think could be added in to the Miracleman stories?

Kid Miracleman had about 90% of the powers I’d love to have:

  • A personal forcefield.

  • Flight.

  • Super strength.

  • Super speed.

  • Ability to project energy beam / electricity (if memory serves).

  • The ability to heal from practically anything, albeit over a long period of time.

  • The Warpsmiths however had the ability to teleport anything and everything.

  • Cloning via androids in later issues.

—— I’m trying to think what else could be thrown into the mix.

Bundle #1 should definitely involve everything related to the mind:

  • Telepathy
  • Clairvoyance
  • Mind control
  • Ability to foresee events/ actions before they actually occur.
  • Projecting a spectral version of oneself.
  • Actually swapping bodies with someone / taking over their whole body (in “Scanners” style).

Bundle #2 could include complete mastery of all the elements:

  • Telekinesis
  • Pyrokinesis (I think that one belonged to a character already)
  • Cryokinesis
  • Electrokinesis

Bundle 3# could involve all remaining cool powers pertaining to manipulating biology:

  • Shape shifting.
  • Invisibility.
  • Instant regeneration of damaged tissue.
  • Ability to duplicate oneself (ie. Cloning without the need for androids).
  • (Possibly) the ability to resurrect dead people, at least to a certain degree (eg. In the style of the ‘Arch Vile’ from the “DOOM” video games).

The only powers I think would be going too far are:

  • Time control / Chronokinesis
  • Ability to create / destroy anything instantaneously at will.

The last 2 powers I think would be going too much for any living being to possess. If they abused such powers, or even made a simple mistake, the entire universe could be messed up beyond belief.

What do you folks think?

A question I’ve been wondering for 30 years: how on earth could they ever bring back Kid Miracleman?

I knew for years that, before development of the story froze, that they were planning on bringing back Kid Miracleman, ending “The golden age” and leading into “The dark age”.

It never made sense to me.

At the end of issue #15, he had a large rock embedded in his skull and a huge girder through his chest. Even in later issues you still glimpse his body in-stasis with these devastating injuries still present.

I remember thinking “there’s NO way you can ever come back after that.”

Since the story has finally started to exit its decades-long ‘development hell’, can someone please shed light on how they could possibly bring back Kid Miracleman?

Silver Age 6, what did you think of it?

I enjoyed it, obviously. No spoilers but we learned why a certain kind of contact from MM led to his reaction, and it made perfect sense.

(And it was sad to read where Dicky got his surname from)

The Coello variant cover was a little misleading :) I suppose I expected a confrontation of some kind in this issue, but now we know that will be later.

I found a way to put Miracle man in the Marvel universe

I want to introduce Miracle man and the Miracle man family with a Fantastic Four story.

Reed detects a huge radiation level above the artic and 3 power levels that are incredibly high compared to all the heroes they know. So The Fantastic four go to the Artic to see what is... and so the story starts with the incident that killed the Miracle family, Gargunza putted the fake ship in the artic with the Atom bomb and before the Miracle family goes to the ship the Fantastic four get to the artic and see them playing in the snow. Both of them get shocked and surprised to see each other, Miracle man family thinks they work for Gargunza and try to attack. The Fantastic Four barely make it out alive...

(i like to think the Miracle man family should have a power level abit above Sentry, high enough for them to have fights with Thor, Hulk, Hyperion and Sentry).

It was only Sue's power to create force fields that allowed them to talk and say they didnt worked with him and then Johnny comments that they are the Fantastic Four. The miracle family gets confused, the miracle family says they have no idea on who they are. Then Reed or Ben asks who are them, Both them explain who they are and the Miracle family dosent have any idea on who they are. The Miracle family decides to tell their origin, Micky is the first one to start He says he works in the Daily Bugle and lives in New York

(i know the moore version of Miracle man lived in Londom but i made this change because the fact that Micky really worked in The Daily Bugle)

The Micky tells he gained his powers when he was 14 when Dr. Borghelm gave him the Key word of the universe in 1954, then he tells that when Dick became Young Miracle man and when Johnny became Kid Miracle man in 1956. Then he tells that they have been the Miracle man family and that they fought lots of villains like Gargunza and Young Nastyman, The Fantastic Four gets confused since they never heard anything of it and they been heroes since 1961, they then ask if they know Captain America, The Human Torch/ Jim Hammond and Namor, the Miracle man family has no idea what the Fantastic Four is talking about. They both find this strange but Reed then remember about the bomb. With the Miracle family knowing and with the Technology of Reed they manage to disable the bomb. After that Reed suspects they are from a different universe or dimension and ask them to go with them to the Baxter Building so reed can study them. The Miracle man family agrees and the story goes as the first book of Moore goes.

Eventually the Miracle man family find out they have been in a illusion their whole lifes. But insted of Gargunza working for the British Army trying to create a better weapon of destruction, he continued a Nazi and got in Hydra, there he got to know Red Skull and the super soldier serum, he got tasked to create it again and he didnt found anyway on how to do that, then the Ship of the Qy fell on earth and the story follows as the Moore run again. But once he created the Miracle man family by kidnapping all of them, Red Skull said they were too powerful to handle and so they should be put in a simulation of reality, one with villains and criminals so they would have no choice other than go evil. But because they all have that superhero hope that plan failed and so they decided to simply kill them like the Moore run.

There you have it. Miracle man on Marvel.

But i would want in the end of his Marvel story to be Miracle man from the Moore version reading it on Olympus and saying that he finds interesting that someone wrote a comic about him with other heroes, but that is far from his actual reality and how things happend. Because with that it makes the Miracle man from Moore run separate from this one from Marvel. Making so the Moore run his own thing.

#6 delayed to August 9?

https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/JAN230874

Bummer. I guess I naively hoped that part of the reason for the long delay between Golden Age and Silver Age was that they wanted to get the whole thing completed to avoid these delays.

No. 5; what did you think?

<mild spoilers>

I enjoyed it, obviously- but 16 pages of new story seemed a little bit short. Cliffhanger ending with YM reliving past trauma in the children's home. Are the revelations from that going to be the thing that turn him, if turning is in fact what's store?

The included original story at the end gives me unfortunate reminders of the Eclipse years, and felt like filler. It ties in with the new story I guess. The theme seems to be that we inflict great suffering on the young; physical and emotional, and thats why they in turn seek to destroy us.

I think something about Meta-Maid is seriously wrong.

When reading the last few issues and especially the newest one, I felt there was something off about Meta-Maid. Like she often wasn't looking where she was supposed to during a conversation. And it bugged me, but I didn't think much of it.

But then it hit me when reading this one. Look over this issue and the previous two. Look at where she's looking.

She's constantly looking at US. The reader. And it freaked me the fuck out.

Am I crazy? She's the only one that does that right? I'd say I'm overthinking but it's way too constant for it to not be on purpose. Could it be connected to Johnny somehow? I dunno. But it's freaky as all fuck.

What do you guys think?
