Hello! If u are doing or have done this program, let me know! I’d love to ask a few questions about how the program is, what’s the workload and schedule like, what to expect with assignments and professors, and anything else I should keep in mind. Thanks!
Hi! I was planning transferring to MUN for engineering. Currently I’m doing Electronics engineering at Seneca college and was wondering the courses which I took could cover some courses in Engineering one?. Since I’m doing advanced diploma not degree not sure if it’s gonna be possible to transfer my credits. So anyone transferred from colleges to MUN? and would appreciate if someone could share their experience.
So I've been admitted to memorial EO for Jan winter intake but the timing really seems off even tho I applied early. I'm wondering now if I should just defer my admission to the spring intake since I'm an international student.
If so, what is the spring semester like compared to winter and fall? I would just like to know what makes them all so different.
I'm applying now to Bachelor of Sciences. I've got the application filled, all information is accurate. I'm at the payment section and it will not accept any debit cards I'm putting in (all Visa debits). I've tried my own and both parents. None have restrictions, and the fee is only $60 which isn't a problem. I am a Newfoundlander, no international fees, so its not any of the problems people suggest online.
What am I meant to do here? 😭
edit: Problem solved :DD Thanks to everyone who helped out!
I'm currently in my 3rd year of doing polisci and rels over here, 3.13 gpa :) I wanna get into either a polisci or rels/phil MA program with good funding here since im international and i spent out a ton in undergrads. So, what's the kind of expected gpa and what should i do to have good chances in getting into grad here
At MUN’s convocation ceremony yesterday, Graduate Devoney Ellis held a sign that said “How can I celebrate while Gaza is burning.”
Ellis said the action was in protest of Memorial’s investment in weapons manufacturers tied to Israel’s war on Gaza.
After months of a student campaign for divestment MUN’s Board of Regents decided not to divest “in consideration of the board’s legal responsibility as a fiduciary for the pension plan and for university investments,” via the Gazette.
Anyone got any advice for help with this course such as additional textbooks or tutors I feel like I did really bad on the first midterm.
I'm looking for anyone who can point me in the right direction for a tutor in Physics 1020. I can't seem to find anyone so I've come here. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hiya. I am considering returning to university to become a high school teacher, however I did not want to only study towards this career in case I later find that it's not truly for me.
Memorial University offers a one year second degree program that would allow me to get a degree in another field first which hopefully would give me a lot more options for when I graduate. However, only certain degrees are eligible. The options listed on the website include:
From posts I've read, everyone seems to always recommend either computer science or an engineering program, but I was having trouble getting much information on some of these other fields. In your experience, which of these has the most career potential? Keeping in mind the ease of getting hired, whether I would need to think about going all the way to a master's degree, etc.
Also, I might be trying to plan things ahead too far as I'll quite possibly end up going in a whole different direction anyway. I just wanna have some sorta plan before I go :V
I really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks!
Can I take online classes at Memorial if I live and work in Ontario?
My guess is yes (but that the tuition is higher).....and I wonder how much....
My plan is to take SOME online math courses at Memorial (I think that Memorial does not offer a complete math degree online).
I want to knock off some math classes online (at my own pace) before I go into a complete math program.
Thanks
hi! i just have a few questions about the pharmacy program at mun if anyone if able to answer them.
thanks! you don't have to answer all, but there's are questions that i couldn't really find any info on.
Just recently started my Bs.c and am hoping to major in computer science. After hearing my professors talk i take it’s not easy to actually get into the major.
When I did my academic advising session I told her that I wanted to major in computer science so she only gave me 4 classes to choose after choosing those 4 classes I realize I should have picked another science or something as most other majors require another science course and in case I didn’t have a high enough overall I would be able to major in something else (date science).
My point is 1. How high should my average actually be to get into computer science major (website says 80 or higher) and 2. What should I do about needing another science course to major in most other things.
Hello Everyone,
I have done bachelor's in Business administration, from Pakistan. I am a permanent resident here in St.John's. I did psychology in my a levels (high school). Looking for guidance here or who I can talk to?
For reference, I have a fairly good CGPA 3.1 and have 3 years of work experience in marketing.
Please guide me if anyone can
I have a midterm which requires us to use a lockdown browser. I’ve never used it before so I’m not sure if it is safe for my computer. Has anyone ever used it? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
I’m just started my second year and I’m currently minoring in French. Part of my requirement is doing an immersion program for at least 4 weeks, so I’m going to try to fulfill that in 2025 if possible. I’m doing French 1502 right now and will be doing 2100 in the winter semester.
I’ve decided on Explore for financial reasons, and I have a couple questions:
For anyone who did one of the programs already, which one did you do and would you recommend it?
Does anyone know which programs
are usually recommended by the university?
Thank you!
Students shouted "Furey Furey we're done waiting" as they banged on the doors of the confederation building for the Day of Action yesterday.
MUNSU, GCSU (Grenfell Campus), GSU (Graduate Students), and MISU (Marine Institute) are calling for a meeting with the premier to address tuition hikes, infrastructure issues, and unpaid work terms.
The provincial government highlighted its funding to Memorial, and says it will continue to work to make education affordable. CBC reports that in September Furey told reporters in September that "the money wasn't cut, it was displaced."
I am looking for 2 extra tickets to the 10AM Oct 17th convocation so that my immediate family and wife who are flying in can attend the convocation. They've all been so important to my studies and it would be heartbreaking to leave any of them out (esp 2 are travelling despite struggling with chronic medical conditions).
If anyone is not using their 3 alloted tickets or knows of anyone not using their tickets or knows any other way to get two for the 10AM convocation, I would greatly appreciate the help! Feel free to PM me.
Thank you!
Looking for extra convocation tickets for Oct 17th at 10am, please message if you have extra
Hey, I'm just trying to look to the future for what I need. I need like 14 more electives, and the languages seem pretty good for filling those spaces. I'm currently going through Spanish and Russian, how are the other languages (in particular harder ones like Chinese or Japanese).
Here is "Something else", a carefully curated playlist regularly updated with atmospheric, poetic, soothing and slightly myterious soundscapes. The ideal backdrop for concentration and relaxation. Perfect for my study sessions.

I’m wondering if there’s some kind of DnD or general tabletop rpg club or something and if not is there anyone interested in getting a campaign going?
