I would encourage anyone to stay far far away from this very toxic facebook group. You will be blocked or suspended if you say anything the admin disagrees with..

The admin and another group member have been harassing someone who legally adopted a cat from HS. Because they want her to return the cat to a family that lost it about a month ago. Not to mention the cat was not micro chipped or anything. Long story short they have been harassing and bullying this lady, it's pure insanity.

I just moved to St. John’s I was wondering if there is a place that I can store my tires. I will be swapping my tires every summer and winter.

Almost every single time I have to go to St. Claire's hospital for imaging I get a parking ticket. I use their "park and pay" but they never seem to even bother checking the system.

Today I paid for parking from 11-12 and I come out to a ticket time stamped 11:20, I noticed about a dozen care around me with tickets as well.

I know how to contest these tickets but it takes forever and having to do this a few times a year is excessive. When I talk to the fines and admin people they tell me they can't even talk to the municipality about the people issuing unjustified tickets.

As stated I parked my car different than my usual spot (city hall parking lot) and I didn’t knew there was a snow cleaning scheduled (still new to the city) I checked online it says the fine starts from 250$ and up. I am wondering what to do next and if anybody knows how much could the fine be/ if I can negotiate to Lower it (i work minimum wage job). Any help is appreciated

I just spent 7 hours at the PAU telling the 5 different people I spoke to that I am too anxious and depressed to function and was given a list of new medications I could try.

Is there anywhere else I can go to actually get help/prescribed new medication because my fucking mind is blown how deeply I have been failed today.

On Friday, May 16^(th), 2025 I will be running a marathon in St. John’s. It will be the first of ten for an event I’m organizing: 10 Marathons in 10 Days in 10 Provinces.

2. To solicit help with route planning: What’s a good place to start? (public space, parking nearby, room to gather people, city landmark preferred if possible!) Where should I plan to run? I’ve checked out the Uniformed Services Marathon route between Bowring & Quidi Vidi. Is that the best route?

Anyone know if its still like 12 or 15 hour wait times if I go to the emergency room there? I dont have a serious medical issue, just think its an ear infection. But I dont like waiting an entire day to get checked. Are wait times still like 12 - 15 hours? Just asking on this subreddit because someone has probably been there recently that knows. I might just go to a smaller clinic instead and try to see someone. Dont know what clinic is best to go to though. If someone has any recommendations for that you can tell me later too, thanks.

I often went to Saint Claire's for most of my life and I just avoided the smaller clinics since the wait time was never very long for many years. I would usually only ever be waiting there 1 hour or 2 at the most, that is why I say I just don't know if I want to be waiting there 12 or 15 hours if its still like that now. Not many restaurants are really nearby either so it sucks waiting that long, lol

Why do almost all people in St. John’s think it’s ok to shovel all the snow from their driveways onto the sidewalk? Instead of putting the snow on their own property they push it to the sidewalk making it impossible for people to walk. We hardly got 15cm and it’s already impossible to walk anywhere else but on the roads. It’s totally fucking stupid and super dangerous! Besides the fact that most of you only walk from the door of your home to your fucking vehicle wtf is truly wrong with people here when it comes to snow clearing? Seriously, almost all of the people that pile the snow onto the sidewalk have zero snow shovelled onto their own front yards…total fucking bullshit!

Im looking to host a local transformers convention as there isn’t anything like it, and was just wondering a few things logistically, do you think people would be interested? How much would rent be for the space? Would it be ultimately worth it?
