Getting ready to put together the Ruined City, and staring at it all is a bit.. daunting, I guess.
With no build instructions, I enjoy the modular aspect of it. But, I'm super worried about building stuff and it not working, since I plan on gluing mine together.
Any advice/tips from people that have built this set and what should be done?
I'm a noob to the Mantic world and just started playing Deadzone. I ended up buying a mixed box-full of models from a guy who is moving out of country. In the collection is a box for the Nightstalkers but it's for Firefight. How do I find the Deadzone stats for the Nightstalkers?
Getting back into the game doom kickstarting it initially and was wondering if this model had rules.
Hi folks. I have some questions as a newer player. (I did a demo game awhile back with a friend, and I've been really wanting to dive deeper into the game.)
Been digging around, but can't quite seem to get a solid answer. Where do we get living legends, and are they worth it?
Which if the Starter sets do you recommend?
Any viable options for terrain outside of the Starter Sets?
Thanks in advance.😁
Hello,
Does the terrain need to be cubes? Or can i ise regular 40k terrain?
Hey folks. What is your preferred method for painting your units? (Slapchop, Zenithal, etc.)
Forgive me if this has been covered already. I have done a fair amount of research on this and am coming up entirely short. (Perhaps my google-fu is weakening in my advancing age?)
Is there any reason to play on a board bigger than 2'x2'?
Or more precisely, is there good reason NOT to play on a bigger surface?
I was thinking about making a 3'x3' board, that I could cordon off the 2' section for the smaller game while still allowing for a larger play area when I use it for other sci-fi skirmish games such as necromunda, etc.
But I am also not a vet of this game, having only consistently been playing this for a few months now with a group of buddies. So I lack the knowledge of the design's minutiae that might obviously make this a bad idea to those with more knowledge than me.
Thanks for your time in advance.
Greetings Deadzone Community. My Brother and I have played a lot of classic 1990`s Necromunda but are looking to get started playing again, but need a new rules engine for our games. I love, love, love the simplicity and quick resolution that Deadzone offers, and I love that the battlefield is made of cubes. But, we would like to keep using our Necromunda models. I've been looking at all the factions for DZ and it seems like they have a lot more diversity than the original Necromunda Gangs. Should we just pick and choose units from the Deadzone rules that we think are a good approximation for our models? Or just accept the fact that a lot has changed since 1995 and some Mauraders and Forge Fathers might have made their way into our Underhive and just fully embrace the Deadzone Universe's wide array of factions? Basically we love the lore and models of Necromunda, but like the Deadzone engine. Any suggestions as we get started are welcomed. (We will only be playing with each other, not at tournaments or conventions or anything like that.)
Just a friendly reminder that Mantic’s a Planetary lockdown tournament is this Sunday!! Get your ticket booked!!
(Ppssst I can come so you won’t be bottom)!
I just had my first game with the Surge and Destroy strike team. It was very interesting when compared to my usual Veermyn team. I’m printing several of the other bespoke teams to paint and try out.
Anyone else tried them yet?
Hi All. I’ve been playing the most recent edition of the game for around 12 months now and love it. I know command protocols - escalation is an older book but is it still worth purchasing? It mentions multi-mat scenarios? Are the rules compatible with the current edition?
I picked up the Fall of Omega VII starter set, and have a question about model assembly. The quick-start guide shows assembly of marionettes with a backpack, but there seems to be only one backpack on the sprue (which is presumably for the 5 torsos that were in the bag with the sprue). Does the backpack represent something in the game, or is it just bling? I was sad to find only one handless left arm (since the phlostiger, sniper, and grenade launcher all seem to require one) but a pair of snips quickly turned an arm with a hand into one without. Is there a good reason not to go ahead and build all 3 special weapons?
Similarly the taller shoulder bits, are they just bling or do they carry meaning for the model?
Does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives to terrain crate for Deadzone terrain? Preferably something lightweight like MDF if possible.
I found TTCombat's Slum Sector 2 complex that looks good but it doesn't appear to have much variety for doors and windows to enter building cubes. From pictures there appear to only be 2 size doors and 1 size windows.
Every other skirmish terrain I can find look like they're more designed for 6x4' tables.
