As you guys know, some restaurants and shops often send out free vouchers to their customers on their birthday.
The only ones I know is Domino's, which offers you a free pizza and Nando's, which offers you a free meal on your birthday.
I would like to know if there's any other shops or restaurants that does so.
Free food is free food yk :)
I'm interested into going for a double chin treatment locally and with some research I found some places that do it such as:
However the drawback is that it is extremely expensive (MUR 2500+ per session), where one treatment requires upto 3 sessions. So that's how they are making money 💰 🤔
Please share your thoughts on this (especially if you have had any experience) and where is best to go, and why.
In early 2023 I successfully obtained an online Mauritius tourist visa. But because of my financial limitations I cancelled my trip to Mauritius. I found the airline tickets to be very costly. I live in the Philippines and there is no direct flight to Mauritius. I am not also sure with my Mauritius immigration success if I pushed through with that travel plan. Even if I already got the online visa, I still doubted their approval with my second passport that is even weaker than my PH passport. My point here I want to express my disappointment of not being able to push through my trip to Mauritius because of the costly airfare and no direct flight from my country. The visa got expired and I am not confident to apply for a new Mauritius visa on my weaker passport. My Ph passport though does not need a predeparture-visa for Mauritius, but I still prefer to use my other passport which has still many blank pages.
Hello, I am looking for someone to build or sell me an AC exhaust cover that fits into a standard sliding door. From my measurements it should probably be a 219cm x 20cm metal plate with a hole for the exhaust of the AC.
Did anyone look for something similar in the past and can recommend someone?
As title says, i want to know which company is best according to your experience. It can be private, public or anything. I want to know your experiences when it comes to the work environment, colleagues, pay, work life balance etc. I want to know your pros cons , which companies to avoid.
Please don’t be scared to put the company name. It is anonymous here.

I’m confused about the 14th month salary for househelp. It was my understanding that the government was disbursing this. Am I supposed to pay the 14th month to the housekeeper? I don’t want to be sent to the labour office or do something wrong. Please advise.
What are the steps? Where to enroll? Any idea about salary as well?
I'm hoping to employ a lady for two mornings a week to do basic cleaning (mopping, hoovering, dusting etc) for a total of 6 hours in the north. I'll pay over minimum wage plus transport - are there other benefits I should be aware of? Do I need to register as an employer? Thank you!
I will probably soon be looking for a place to stay, the issue is I got everything in crypto. Would any crazy guy be willing to exchange crypto for cash or directly rent a place in exchange of crypto instead of the usual roupie currency
If someone know pls keep me updated. I don’t mind buying online but i don’t really know if i can trust tamam.
I am suddenly going to Maritius in a couple of weeks and will stay for a month, maybe two. I need to do remote work while I'm there. Basically I need to work with an offshore dev team in India and get a project back on track in their time zone after 4 months of being up all night trying to work with them from the USA.
I would like to do that at a coworking spot like Workshop 17, but I don't have time to get a Premium Visa before I arrive.
Do coworking spots check visa status? Does immigration go around checking people? I'm happy to apply even though I'll only be there for a month or two.
Appreciate any thoughts or wisdom!
Me and my daughter were so excited for the Chinese new year because we thought it would be another massive display of light ms and fireworks, only to hear 3 random ones and no parades at all. Is this normal in Mauritius?
Just as the title said. I am currectly working in an extremely toxic environment where your manager doesn't appreciate your efforts. Being reprimanded everyday for mistake that weren't from my part, being treated and spoken to unfairly. At this point, i straight don't want to go to the office anymore so i would lile to know if I could send a mail to the HR, who knows about the situation for months now, stating that i won't be coming back. Please help
Say I want to do another degree after finishing one, will i still pay 10k or more per year for the second one? I heard a friend who's had to pay full fees for the second degree after withdrawing from the second year of his 4-year degree(eng)
Hello. I will go to Mauritius soon and I have a doubt about the zipline. I am interested in the 1,5km Zipline. Should I have to pay 2600Rs for the Zipline only or should I have to pay also the admission fee? Do you recommend me pay it online or in site?
Thank you!!
The pre-order started yesterday and I know it takes some time to get the device but I was wondering if anyone got their device yet?

I am in desperate need of sun and warmth? Is April (7th-17th) a good travel time or is it raining most of the time?
Hello, i have 6.5 years of experience in the audit sector. Got my BSC from UK in Sept 2024 and i only have 3 papers left to complete ACCA. How much salary should i ask for?
I'm not used to buying products from abroad. I'm still confused about what to do if I want to collect the parcel in person instead of having it delivered directly to my house.
Should I put my own address or the address of the post office?
My in-laws have arranged a holiday for us to spend 6 nights at Veranda Pointe Aux Biches Hotel at the end of April.
We have already book a catamaran cruise and want time to just relax at the hotel and on the beaches, but none of us have been to Mauritius before and I was wanting some advice / tips on other activities.
Thanks in advance!
asking because i haven’t found an answer on google, please help me out
I got into gardening lately and I love it. Would like to buy some fruit trees as well ( Anything from local stuff like papaya or letchi to imported fruits like plums or apples ).
Everywhere I looked there were only veggie seeds or seedlings and growing it up from fresh fruit seems way too challenging for me as a complete amateur. I would really prefer some young trees with already good foundation.
I am always confused by this. People say they got good demand. Would you mind explaining it

To give you more information, i did my BSc in IT and graduated in 2017 with a first class honors. I went abroad and currently have a 5yr experience on the IT side.
I returned to Mauritius and is now planning on doing my Masters( i did not do my Masters right after my Bachelor’s because i wanted to gain some professional experience first). My first choice is currently UTM. I saw that they are offering LLM in Cyber Law. On the website neither they mentioned the requirements for this course nor the job prospects after completion of the course.
Can someone please guide me in this? I am interested in Cyber Law and more than motivated to do it, however given the job market in Mauritius i was wondering if i could land a job soon after completion of the masters or atleast get a job while doing the masters? It is a 2yrs part time course.
Thanks in advance
