I wanted to buy a specific gaming laptop model. The asus zephyrus g16. Unfortunately it's sold out at Blink and Compuspeed. They won't be receiging a new batch. The only place left that i found was ACD tech that told me that they are selling on backorder. The product will take around 2 to 3 weeks to come. Now personally, i never saw a review on ACD tech. Specially the after-sale service and warranty? What do you guys think?
Hi all! Curious to know if my baby can obtain a Mauritian passport based on the fact I have a Mauritian passport. I was not born in Mauritius however both my parents were therefore I acquired Mauritian nationality by descent.

There is a man who appears to be quite in a bad situation in port louis. He only has one leg. I do not know if he is a homeless person but he appears to be. Is there any NGO or organisation that we can notify about such situations ? Who can provide help to him ? I have never interacted with this man because I do not know how he will react and I don't know if he suffers from alcohol or drug problems. I wish to know if there is a way that this man could be helped.
Hello,
I am a software engineer working in Java for the past 2 years. Coding doesn't interest me anymore and I wanted to re-tool myself in SAP Finance or FICO.
Could anyone suggest whether banks (like MCB, Absa, SBM, Bank One) or financial institutions like the big 4's (EY, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte) have jobs in SAP Finance please?
Alternatively I've been approached for Talend developer but like I said coding doesn't interest me anymore so I'd rather not take up that position.
My Aliexpress parcels arrived in Mauritius via cargo flight on 23 April. After a long wait, they called me last week to confirm payment of customs and asked for my ID without even telling me the amount.
Now it's been another week since they called. I haven't yet received any reply back. Whenever I call on their number, 460 2828. I believe these guys are from call center so for further info on my parcels, they asked me to contact Chronopost at the airport (460 2488) but they never answer.
Some of my Aliexpress parcels that arrived at a later date, passed through the Chronopost network gate at the airport, same warehouse as the other parcels and got delivered to me earlier via Mauritius Post.
These couriers are playing with our patience. If anyone has got a solution to this problem please let me know.
Hi Mauritius! I'm doing a cooking challenge in which I cook food from a different country each week. Mauritius is coming up soon and I would love some help working out what I should make. Throughout the week, I can fit in a few different dishes, which could be just about anything - mains, sides, breakfasts, snacks, desserts, even drinks.
So far, I'm interested in making:
What would you add to this list? Or is there something you would remove? I'd love to hear what you think. I'd also appreciate links to authentic recipes if you happen to have them.
Any one with first hand experience in this who could run me through it?
Hi,
I’d like to send some items to family but no one really said what they needed so I thought I’d send some necessities instead.
Are there any particular items that are very hard to find there that I can send from the UK?
Medicines/ingredients/skincare that kind of thing!
Thanks in advance
I foundd some good websites but whoops have to pay +Rs. 2000 To ship below Rs. 1000 product.
I'm bummed anyone knows a good website
.
For context, I’m a teen/young adult, still fully dependent on my parents and living with them.
I’ve been wanting to lose weight but I don’t think that would be possible while having typical Mauritian food regularly. My parents do not allow me to cook, nor fast(given past health conditions). They control my diet, but as per to what is healthy to them, not me. (I’m the only overweight person in my family). They just don’t get the point.
I’ve been tricking them for a while by skipping meals without them knowing. But I do not think that would work in the long run.
Any suggestions?
What we're the procedures?
Please help I work in Q.Bornes and need to buy one urgently. Thank you very much for your help
Hello - I'm looking for a photographer to take family photographs. - nothing too fancy.

Hello everyone. I just enrolled in utm for BSc computer science with network security but recently I got my mail of offer from uom, offering me a seat for BSC information system. What do you guys suggest me to do? Also I have not done computer science at A-level. Thank you for any advice.
I’m just wondering if there’s anything I can do on the side to earn money, I already have a day job but it’s not enough atm.
I did try having a small business on instagram but admittedly over the years I’ve fallen off which is understandable because of how much the cost of life is.
Any suggestions is appreciated.
Edit: I appreciate the advice about for my small business but I should’ve mentioned I make handsewn plushies, artworks etc that takes a lot of time to make. I am not looking to grow it out either atm because frankly my health has not been the best lately and I’m burnt out from customer service.
Monetising a hobby of mine has been a double edged sword because on one side yes it gave me some revenue but I started developing muscle problems(weak grip, muscle spasms etc) it’s really REALLY demanding and can be hard to manage because you’re just one person doing everything.
Now for my day job I work 9-5, 5 days a week as a pharmacy dispenser, that’s all I’m comfortable sharing.
With that said thank you so much for all the advice, support and encouragement. It means the world to me.
Hi there. It is my first day on the island. Any recommendations for activities that locals tend to engage in that are a sort best kept secret? I am in the North but can go anywhere.

I have heard of a type of tomato called San Marzano in cans made in Italy and they say it's less acidic and sweeter than other tomatoes. I'm not sure if we have it in Mauritius but would like to know if there are other brand that have tomatoes less acidic.
When i cook tomatoes, i normally use Belinda and ive tried other brands as well but it's way too acidic and takes a long time cooking for the acidity to be reduced. I don't like adding sugar to balance it. What do you guys think ?
I'm lactose intolerant, I have to use lactase(enzyme) if I want to consume products that have milk.
I usually buy the Solgar Brand from Medactiv or ForMe Pharmacies but they are both out of stock.
Anywhere I can get the Solgar Lactase or any other alternatives that you may know of ?

I am looking to buy a used sedan car and my budget is 300-350k. I know that japanese is king but for that budget i am getting only high mileage and <2010 japanese car (toyota/honda). On the other hand, i am also getting 2015-2016 (kia, hyundai) which have low mileage, more modern features.
I would like to get some opinions. Thanks
