How much are you holding on now?

Keep hodling... The miners don't have much stock on hand now. The value will appreciate and $200 before Christmas is very probable.

Is it too late for me?

At when it first went up to £75 I told myself I would invest if it dropped below £70 it didn’t and now I feel stupid for not investing. Is it too late now or is it likely to continue for now

NanoGPT (access AI with LTC) update: system prompts, UX, more models, payment stats

Lots of changes since our most recent update!

NanoGPT update

UX improvements:

- It's now possible to add a system prompt (for all models except Claude/Gemini ones)

- There's a dark/light mode switch next to new chat

- Export chats as PDF or Markdown by appending ?export=pdf or =md to the URL

- ALT + C for new chat, ALT + I for new image (Option C and Option I on Mac)

New models:

- Qwen QwQ 32b is Alibaba's answer to OpenAI's o1-preview. It "thinks", and only starts outputting later.

- OpenAI and Google released about 4 new versions of ChatGPT/Gemini, to constantly overtake each other on the leaderboards (we immediately push their newest version live every time). Google also released LearnLM, a model focused specifically on helping people learn new skills, which of course we added.

- Alibaba's Qwen Max, Qwen Large, Qwen Long and Qwen Turbo have been added, very low prices and up to 10m token context. Almost no other provider offers these models.

- Step-2-16k, another Chinese model, is also pretty much only available through us. It scores extremely well on the LiveBench comparison, and is very popular in China.

- Mistral Large and a ton of open-source models got added. These include many Roleplay/Storytelling models (more on that below) and two "abliterated" models, versions of models that have been finetuned to remove limitations and biases. They're uncensored versions, essentially.

Cool integrations:

- SillyTavern is an open-source front-end that many people use for roleplaying. Dylan was kind enough to do a pull request and add us in, so we're now natively supported and suddenly have a lot more users that are interested in roleplaying models, hence also the additions.

- "battleofcoins.com" lets you pick crypto, pick models, and have the AIs discuss and debate which one is best over multiple rounds. Very fun implementation, you can pick any selection criteria you want.

More:

- We added lots of additional payment methods: Binance Pay, Coinbase Wallet, ETH + L2s, and a lot more. This is likely the last additions we did for a while there, since anything else feels like diminishing returns.

- We released payment stats on how much the different crypto were used. I'll add this into a comment because I'm afraid links will get the post removed. Litecoin accounted for about 3% of volume - frankly we expected to see more usage of Litecoin given how it always ranks highly in BitPay's statistics, but perhaps we're simply not reaching the Litecoin community enough! So here's us reaching out - if you haven't tried us yet consider depositing $0.10 to see what we're all about. Or if you'd prefer to try for free, let me know and I'll DM you an invite.

Also important for many of you: we have a working branch with file uploads. It can take excel files, pdfs, documents etc. We want to release it as soon as possible but it's also a change that needs quite a bit of testing, so we don't want to push it too soon and get people annoyed at how badly it works.

Any questions I'm all ears!

"When to sell"-- Don't: USE the crypto currency as a currency

It's healthier for crypto and the coin itself if we spend on chain. Want to buy a car? See if they'll take Litecoin for it. Even better if they hold it, then there's no sell pressure. Want new computer on market place? See if they'll take Litecoin. Don't swap back into fiat. NFA

Setting up recurring purchases. Good idea?

Can't show screenshot bc PayPal is a tightass. But I setup recurring purchases for $100 every week. Currently up 95% on my initial $200 investment from 2 months ago. Literally I forgot about that money I had in PayPal until 1 week ago lol.

TLDR: Do y'all setup recurring purchases? Hindsight is 20/20 but had I'd been more educated 2 months ago I would've bought $15000 worth of LTC.

Litecoin is global infrastructure.

This is the difference between Litecoin and memecoins.

  • Litecoin has real transaction volume.

  • Litecoin has no central attack surface.

  • Litecoin transactions cannot be censored.

  • Litecoin offers pretty good privacy (PGP).

  • Litecoin transaction fees are very low and affordable.

  • Litecoin is an effective replacement for cash when increasingly authoritarian governments take cash away from us.

As Litecoin pumps it encounters a positive feedback loop because as more people learn about Litecoin they find out how useful and widely available it is, how important Litecoin is for the future of the people of the world.

I always knew Litecoin would eventually pump but I wasn't expecting it this cycle. I use Litecoin more than I hodl it but I am very happy to see the pump. I know this means that more people will learn about Litecoin and appreciate its importance and that is a blessing.

Bring on the pump. Bring on the replacement of fiat cash.

I want my car

There is this really old car that I really want to buy. But I have a wife and kids and obviously I don't have money for that. The car itself is not even that expensive. It's about eight grand. Guys help Litecoin get to $2,000 each. That way I can get that car 😂

First time I timed a bullrun almost bit perfect

It's kinda crazy. I was here during both 2017 and 2020 bull run. Never been this lucky. Literally bought litecoin the day before yesterday @ 100 usd expecting that to be a support level. At the very least, I expect I wont lose. Can't believe litecoin really started its run right after I bought it. Usually it's the other eay around. Lol.

Still, I sincerely believe as the bull market just got started, it wont be stopping anytime soon. Ltc has a LOT of potential and is hugely undervalued at this price. Litecoin still has a LONGG way to go. I'd say at least 400 but my hunch is we will be looking at new ath very soon.

Hang on, brother!

Litecoin maintains a stable position as a payment method in November! 💪

Hey Litecoin community,

We've got some insights from our November payment gateway data:

  • Litecoin remains the third preferred crypto payment method, accounting for 11.6% of transactions.
  • Compared to October, there has been a slight 2% decrease in processed orders. However, Litecoin's payment volume has increased by 17% compared to November last year. 💪

Have you used Litecoin as a payment method in November?

With $100,000 being such a psychological cell point for Bitcoin, do you think a lot of that money is coming in to Litecoin?

I’ve been buying Litecoin since it was four dollars and believe that it really is going to the moon. I’m wondering if the current surge is due to people who might have been regularly investing in bitcoin that have decided to branch out. The same people realize that coins like SHIB and doge are just a waste of money and are looking for a real investment with a limited cap of coins.
