Today is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson's death anniversary. Famous author, mathematician and photographer known as Lewis Carroll died on this day (14 January) in 1898 in Guildford, Surrey. 🕯 [Photo: self-portrait from 1857]

Lewis Carroll inspired poem

I wrote this a bit ago, almost as a love letter of appreciation for this brilliant man. It’s very much inspired by his writing style, and there are a few Carroll/Alice references in it.

Netflix 3 Body Problem at Oxford

I just started watching it finally last night and I was excited that it started out at Oxford. They even have a scene where two characters are walking through Tom Quad at Christ Church and you can see the door to what was Charles Dodgson's rooms.

What is the best facsimile edition of The Hunting Of The Snark

The current closest facsimile of the first edition is the 1980 windward edition but I have a few issues with that particular edition so is there one that reproduces the book with original binding and no added copyright info something like Charles Winthrope & Sons did with Alice’s adventures in wonderland in 2014 and it would be even better if it had a replica of the original dust jacket so any recommendations?

P.S I’m sorry for the paragraph

Happy Snark Day! On July 18th 1874, during the walk in Guildford, Carroll imagined a nonsense line that would eventually become the end of his poem "The Hunting of the Snark": "For the Snark was a Boojum, you see". He completed the first stanza (or Fit) on July 22. Illustration by Henry Holiday.

Look at the noses. Left: Segment of an illustration by Henry Holiday to Lewis Carroll's "The Hunting of the Snark" (1876). Right: An allegory of iconoclasm (between 1560 and 1570) by Marcus Gheeraerts the Elder.
