Areas to strengthen in January?

I'd look for a Keeper, another CB, a 10 and possibly another striker...

Raphinha Perception

Hi there!

I'm from Brazil and I just moved to Yorkshire and started following Leeds United. I'm impressed by your passion and culture for football. It reminds me so much of the passion we have in Brazil. I searched former Brazilian players that played for Leeds and I found that Raphinha played some seasons in Leeds.

I'm thinking about buying a vintage jersey with his name and I just want to know what the fans think of him just to make sure I don't buy something that represents a player that the fans hates ahahah

Cheers mates!

Need LUTV link for Sheffield United full match replay

I'm a bit behind on Leeds matches due to work and travel - I'm looking to watch the full match replay of the October 18 Sheffield United match, but the link is proving to be impossible to find on the LUTV website (searching for Sheffield does not return the video).

Could someone please post the full match replay link from LUTV here? No spoilers please! Thanks for anyone who can help.

Peacock Club

Has anyone been to the Peacock Club in the east stand yet? I’m there on Saturday and was wondering what time to get there. Thanks

Gruev is surely going to struggle to get back in this side...

Unless any of the other 3 get injured, I'm really not sure how Gruev is going to get back into this side... Not to mention the experienced presence of Guilavogui is there too.

Gruev doesn't offer anything different or better than what Ampadu, Tanaka and Rothwell do.

I'd go with Ampadu and Tanaka

Tickets for Leeds v Millwall

Does anyone know if it’s common to pick up tickets that people are trying to sell last minute? If so, is there a specific website I should check out? I’ll be in London for a few days and was hoping to catch this game but tickets are sold out. Any tips would be appreciated!

Piroe vs Joseph this season- stats

Stats comparison: Joseph and Piroe

All

Thought I’d do this to try and work out what Farke is looking at in terms of the numbers.

Data source: per 90 stats from FOTMOB, 24/5 championship

Summary: the conventional wisdom that Piroe is more clinical but offers less in his all round game than Joseph is only half true, he’s nearly three times more clinical than Joseph, but off the ball they are both about as effective (some might say ineffective) as each other at the moment on what they offer apart from goals

Detail

Attacking

  1. Piroe is the much more effective finisher than Joseph. He has 4 goals from an xG of 2. 73 Joseph has 2 from an xG of 2.81

  2. Piroe’s goals per 90 is 0.75 and Matteo’s is 0.25

  3. Interestingly even though he takes fewer shots (1.88 per 90 compared to 2.21 per 90) Piroe creates much more xG per 90 than Jospeh (0.5 compared to 0.35). This suggests either Piroe is getting better service or he’s getting in better positions.

  4. They have similar assists per 90. Joseph has 0.37 and Piroe 0.38. Matteo has a slightly higher expected assist rate per 90 (0.04 vs 0.11)

  5. Their passing is similar, 14.3 accurate passes per 90 for Piroe, 14.8 for Joseph

  6. One place Matteo has a clear edge is dribbles - Matteo has an average of exactly 1 successful dribble per 90, Piroe has just 0.19

Defensive

Off the ball, I was surprised how similar they are.

Piroe has the clear edge in terms of defending in the box, more clearances and headed clearance per 90 (see attached image). Surprisingly he’s also more active in dispossessing the opponent in the final third. 0.75 possessions won in the final third per 90 compared to 0.62. Both of these numbers compare well with peers so both are doing well at pressing in the final third (which really surprised me about Piroe)

Matteo has actually won tackles whereas Piroe hasn’t even attempted any, Piroe has a rate of 0 successful tackles per 90 which is hilariously bad, Matteo has 0.62.

On duels - Piroe is bad, he loses nearly 70% of his duels per 90, and nearly 80% of his aerial duels

Matteo is almost identical - he loses nearly 70% of his duels and nearly 80% of his aerial duels

As above - Joseph has a very strong successful tackle rate which is where he differs from Piroe - he won nearly 70% of his tackles, Piroe has literally made 0 tackles

In summary

If you look at the FOTMOB stats, both have very good attacking stats compared to their peers, both are a bit mixed off the ball compared to their peers, but it’s much more similar than I expected

Boca Juniors away shirt should’ve been our home shirt

I wish Adidas took our club colours more seriously. Just a dash of yellow around the collar on the home kit’s not enough imo. This would’ve been a beauty of a home shirt for this season!

LUFC x adidas Spezial

Anybody else get in, added what they wanted to basket and wouldn’t let them check out? Just a white screen for checkout and then booted me out.

So frustrating.

Stuart Dallas supports/follows Tommy Robinson?

Saw a comment on here saying that Dallas supports Tommy Robinson as he follows him on Twitter and has retweeted his posts in the past. Had a look through and he does follow him but I couldn't find any retweets. Cooper also followed him as of July but no longer does. Anyone got any sensible thoughts/explanations for this? As would rather not have this ruin my perception of a modern Leeds hero... Even if as the person who pointed this out suggests Dallas holds more right wing/unionist views, I don't get how - with what we know of him being a great guy otherwise - he would support an objectively bad person like Robinson.

I was expecting this drop to be expensive but sheesh. Even more than I expected.

What do you all think are the best ones?

Thinking:

  1. Trainers
  2. Track Top
  3. Sweatshirt
  4. Polo
  5. Track Pant
