Hello everyone,

So, I've had mine for at least a couple of years now and while the WearOS kinda sucks currently, the watch is still somewhat useful, though slow.

Now, I'm aware that there are other ROMs available for the watch and a kernel that unlocks the 4 cores of the processor (or something like it).

However, aside from a topic on XDA, where the files are mentioned, I've been unable to download the files from there (seem to have been deleted), I'm also struggling to find TWRP for the watch and also understand if those are the latest versions available for the watch because the current build and the one from the ROM seem quite different.

Everything I have on the watch currently is stock. Are there any gains in applying any of these mods realistically?

After having issues with my watch randomly turning off, I ordered a new battery and swapped it myself. It's really easy if you have the fitting drivers :) Worked like a charm.

At some point, I'm not sure exactly when, the always on screen stopped working. I have tried toggling always on screen on and off, but no matter what I do it goes straight to black.

Interestingly, if you pay close attention, just as the "on" screen fades away, the simplified always on screen briefly appears just before the screen turns off completely.

Anyone else with the same problem, or is it just me?

I bought the LG G Watch R around the time that it came out. I used it for like a year and then I put it away. I recently wanted to use it again but I am not able to connect it to my Iphone 11 Pro. The watch does not show up in the Wear OS app. It says that the system is up to date. Any help? Thanks!!

Hi, I have problem with the usb connection and i dont know if it is the cradle or the watch itself, i cant use data connection over usb the pc doesnt even detect my watch. The watch is only charging, anyone can help with it?

Hey everyone, I originally bought the watch when it first came out, but put it away after a month of usage since I left it at home when I left for college.

I recently "refound" it back home and am bringing it back into usage. I was wondering what the latest update is atm for android wear/ wear os.

And also more importantly if its worth it to update or if there was a version that maybe drained the battery too much etc.. Since I haven't been keeping up with the updates. Thanks in advance!

After 4+ years my faithful G Watch R has finally bit the dust. The screen comes on but it only has this orange looking staticy screen. Anyone else experience this?

My LG G Watch R received the tiles update a few weeks ago, and I just swiped to get to weather, and it is no longer there.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY TILES!?

I've read several post stating that those watches that received the new UI (Assistant / Watchface / Google Fit) would also receive the new tiles. I've been swiping like crazy but so far there's nothing to the right of Google Fit.

My LG G recently broke and I was wondering if there was a shop I could send it in to to repair it? I have done some research online and it doesn't seem like many people fix them.

You will be missed. I loved my watch and to be quite honest, I'm surprised it lived this long. It started having problems few weeks ago: not charging properly, stuck on boot loop, randomly rebooting, significant lag from time to time. But before that, it was a solid watch even after all these years. I don't know if I'll get a new watch. I'm eyeing Fossil Sport but I think it's too expensive for what it's worth. I might end up getting one, idk. I'm so used to smartwatches i don't think I'll be without it for long.

Any suggestion for a new smartwach?

I think it might be due to the pins on the back of the watch wearing down or something. I'm fairly sure they used to be gold but are now silver (although I may just be crazy). Is there something I can put in the back of the watch to get a more positive connection?

When i get my watch from charge credile its just shutdowning idk why is it the battery or something i can fix because its really hard for me to buy new battery here from Bulgaria i cant really find :( but i really wanna use my watch not just to stay in box :(

My LG watch is having a problem, when i turn it on the lg screen shows then it goes to the android wear screen after that it just says powering off and shutting down.

Ive had the battery replaced but this has not solved the problem.

Any advice?

Have had watch since December 2014 and recently had issues with it. Randomly shuts off and will sometimes turn back on and sometimes won't. So thinking maybe it's a battery issue. Nothing out currently really grabs my attention so hoping to get another LGWR.

Or is it planned to receive it?

My watch upgraded to the new wear yesterday. Both yesterday and today my watch was dead by 7pm. It had been at about 30% at 11pm before the upgrade. I was wondering if anyone else is having problems?

I updated the Fit app on my watch, but it shows none of the data that's on the phone. The app starts but all I see are empty fields. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didn't help. I even reset the watch, installed and updated everything, set up Fit anew and still no data is showing up. Is anyone else having the same problem??? Screenshots

I recently got a G Watch R, and I was wondering what the latest version of Android Wear for it is.

It currently displays 2.14.0 as the Wear OS version.

Is this the latest?

Recently my gwr started to power off for no reason and only boot when connecting to the charger... Maybe the battery need replacement after all this years, where I can find it from EU for cheap?
