My screen protector got noticeable scratches today. so I'm planning to buy a lenovo tab 10.1 inch screen protector because it's much much cheaper than the one made for fire.

but it was written in the product description in amazon that it won't work with any other devices!

so is that true? and does each device needs it's own screen protector?

Most of the info I find on this error seems to be in the tablet. I get this error trying to approve the email I get from the kids requesting an app. So the error comes up on my phone after clicking the link. If I go to the dashboard manually, I don't see any outstanding requests.

any idea on how to revert this?

i seem to have messed up on step 6 and now my kindle wont switch on but shows life and shows up on computer as a hard drive (A through F), it identifies as QHSUSB_BULK. Screen wont turn on, prompts dislogs boxes saying the multiple drives need to formatted.

I'm fine with losing data i just want it to switch on

I know fireOS is not officially supported.

Though when searching around here, don't say it works, others it doesn't, so I give it a try. The app is running, though protection keeps switching off. I've activated the watchdog and set the recommended interval in the adguard settings - and exempted it from the power mgmt. settings. Though the result is still the very same.

Anyone got it to work and could tell us how? Adguard itself has no particular input beyond the above steps as they're not officially supporting fireOS.

Can MS Word using OneDrive work offline?
Does Google Docs work offline?
For Office, is that a PWA that you create like on a Chromebook?

(I do have a Chromebook and have used Google Docs offline. There's an official method - create doc and set it to be on device at all times for offline use.)

I am trying to install the google play store via the toolbox v31.0 on my Fire tablet 7 (9th gen) everything goes smoothly until I try to install google play service then an error pops up saying [INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE] any information that could help me resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. I recently found my old Amazon fire I had not turned on since January 2020. I charged it up and turned it on excited to finally use it again. Unfortunately it updated when I connected it to Wi-Fi and it downloaded these unbearably annoying ads on the lock screen. The old 2020 version had ads that were almost unnoticeable but these new ones are super obnoxious to see. I tried to disable the ads through my Amazon account and it tells me I have to pay $15. It was a gift from someone many years ago so I guess he saves 15 bucks to force me to look at shitty ads lol. I’m definitely not giving Amazon free money so if anyone knows a way to get rid of these I would appreciate it. In the meantime I have disconnected it from Wi-Fi so it stops updating. Apparently updates are forced now, seems to be the way things are going.

When using the fire took kit, on my amazon fire 11 max tablet, I can not see to get the google calendar sync service to work.

I install the google calendar app from the play store, then select install calendar sync from the took it, and then it goes through the motions of downloading but after it has tried to install, I get an error message that says an error occurred whilst installing google calendar sync, asks me to reboot tablet. I have tried multiple times and just can’t get google calendar to work.

I purchased a Kindle Fire Pro for my daughter. We can't get kids messenger to access the photo gallery for her to send pics in the chat. I've allowed the permission for camera and media but when it shows the gallery in the app the pics are greyed out. Anyone know a way to fix this? It works on my son's older Kindle just fine.

Howdy! I just recently purchased a Fire 7 (2022) Tablet and was curious to see what are some good tips for getting it to the best experience I can have whilst using it. Just for some background, I bought it primarily to use as a video watching (Pluto, Youtube, etc.) device, so nothing storage/memory heavy, not interested in gaming. The main concerns I'm having is there's a lot of pre-loaded items that I'm not interested in using/seeing, and from what I've seen (so far) the version of Youtube available is riddled with ads. Is it possible to install aps like UBlock Origin and such? Thanks in advance for all the advice.

I've had a fire max 11 for a while now, most of the time basic stuff like YouTube and Chrome run fine. But I've been having more and more issues with random apps force closing almost immediately upon opening. Reddit, ebay, Facebook sometime, especially any of the Google apps like sheets, docs etc.

Is there anyway to get this thing to work stablely? I've already used toolbox and have it running with it.

So I have a Fire 10 HD & would like to find a game controller either Bluetooth or otherwise that would be compatible. I typically don't game much on the tablet but I put the Google app store on & got my racing game from my phone & would love to use a controller.

Hi, I have found my old Kindle, but I don't have a slightest clue of password or the Amazon account linked to it, I have tried mine and my moms but no luck. I've tried the usual power button + volume up/down, but still no luck, just boots normally and asks for amazon username and pw. Any clues on how to do a hard reset?

I've tried to get my personal gaming mouse to connect, but alas it will not. I can get my keyboard to connect but would like something in a more travel form factor. Any recommendations that are currently available for purchase? I've seen it's possible, but my BT mouse is apparently stubborn as a bull.

I've got both the Amazon Luna game streaming service and Xbox remote play working on my fire tablet. The setup for the controller allowed me to pretty seamlessly get it working on Luna. When I launch Luna the controller works fine but when I'm in remote play for my series S Xbox it doesn't seem to register the controller at all. Was wondering if anyone here had any experience with this. Thanks.

I just side loaded the play store using the browser method and it seems to have worked fine. I want to make sure that the play store has automatic updates turned off but can’t find the option. I don’t have the three dots in the upper left when I open it like some online directions state. Where is this setting?

I just got an HD10, it'll be here tomorrow with the keyboard, and the pen is coming on Monday so I can use it to take notes and draw. Is there anything integral in the FireOS software that would break these two items if I were to install something like Lineage OS or stock android or something, or are they all hardware related/universal?
