Why I'm taking to reddit to say this is beyond me, but I live in "Pennsyltucky", so my options to discuss this stuff are pretty limited... this election is causing me so much anxiety. I can't remember ever feeling this way about the outcome of anything. It feels like our whole trajectory as a nation is on the line. I wake up every day filled with existential dread. One of the only things that gives me any sense of comfort is knowing that Kamala will almost certainly win the popular vote by a large margin, which means the majority of people in the US feel the same way that I do.
A cold front will be passing through the Midwest on Tuesday, with a cold rain ending from west to east during the day.
MICHIGAN and WISCONSIN, make a plan to VOTE EARLY! Especially Michigan where it looks to be rainy all day. You do not want to risk standing in line at the polls in the cold or a soaking rain. Your voice matters!
OHIO, INDIANA, MISSOURI, same goes for you! Let's flip for Kamala!
MINNESOTA and ILLINOIS, keep doing your thing 💙 but be prepared for the weather!
This is from the interactive map on Georgia's voting turnout so far. Very encouraged to see the 18-24 year olds growing, hope this keeps up.
Hope, HATE, Healthcare, RISE... America's choice: choose Liberty, or choose Death.
I have been having anxiety and seeing so many people posting and saying they understood and completed the assignment is uplifting. You can search #completedtheassignment or just search for understood/understand the assignment and you will see.
Let’s got for a blue tsunami. Country over party. If we could get past dem presidents elected, we can do this again! This one really matters for democracy, freedom (especially for women’s health), our relationship with other countries, and the future. The future may be our kids/grandkids, health, wealth, environment, and a better party for those who feel more conservative where their current space has been taken over by MAGA.
There are two kinds of mail-in voting: absentee balloting and universal vote by mail. There is no evidence that mail-in ballots increase electoral fraud.

Good people, this weekend go to your churches, mega churches, mosques, synagogues, chapels, meeting houses, temples and gurdwara.
Speak to any/everyone you can. Even if you can change the mind of only 0.01% it will make a difference.
Not sure whether to tune into NBC for Holt/Todd/Kornacki or CNN for Cooper/King/Blitzer/Enten. Would love to hear your opinions.
Title sounds misleading now that I read it. I am all for Kamala. I am just very scared if she wins because of how Trump supporters will 100% think it’s rigged no matter what. I am just very afraid of angry republicans lol especially living in a very conservative area. It is just so unpredictable what will happen.
Let this song be our anthem as we go to the polls to vote. We got this - JUST GO VOTE!
For those who don’t NIMBYism stands for (not in my backyard-ism) and whenever there is a proposition to build housing (particularly affordable housing) it usually flops because people spout so much crap. It makes me sad because then blue states lose residents because of this and congressional seats sometimes too.
So does Harris have a plan to combat NIMBYism?
Did he suffer a stroke or just tired?
I've commented this a few times, but I guess it'll have a wider impact if I make an actual post about it
Do not trust the polls. These online polls already have a very unreliable and dodgy methodology (calling someone on the phone and asking them who they're voting for) and usually have ridiculously small sample sizes (2-3,000 at most from what I've seen). 2,000 people obviously do not represent a nation of hundreds of millions.
To give you an example: I live in West Virginia. If I were to go out and ask everyone who lives in my parent's neighborhood who they are voting for, I would get a return of somewhere from 60-80% for Trump. If I then went to Huntington and asking people in my sister's neighborhood, I'd get something like 90-100% for Harris. I could then assume off this information that Harris could potentially win West Virginia. But of course, in reality it is a solid red state and will probably remain one.
The point to get here is that the "Polling" in the above example, of Perhaps a few hundred people can give me or anyone else who reads it a skewed perspective of the direction the election is taking, but it does not correlate to the very observable reality. In practice, most online polls are little better than the example I have given in the above.
If we look at our actual observable reality, Harris has enjoyed far, far, far more vocal and outspoken support from all corners. She has the most bipartisan support of any candidate since fucking Abraham Lincoln in 1864, her own party almost unanimously supports her, nearly every respected public figure has spoken out in favor of her, police chiefs, trade unions, admirals and diplomats, fucking Stanley McCrystal, non-profits, celebrity musicians with global followings, etc. She has aroused a joy and spirit the American electorate has not had since 2016. Meanwhile, the orange man has failed to string together a halfway decent political ad all the way up to election day.
As long as we keep this same spirit that's brought the Harris/Walz campaign to their current position, we can carry the election. We're in the homestretch, don't bother with online polls, just look at reality
