The youth vote is critical this year, and often a time Americans move for college, work etc. Please check your status. There is still time to register, fix errors, and ensure it is your voting day or preferred l permanent ocation.

We moved last year, and just discovered my partner hasn’t changed his address. It was his mom’s address a few blocks from our old place.

We aren’t planning a visit back, and without a change he’ll miss his ballot. AND our new place is in a hotly contested congressional seat.

Like many couples, I tend to be the political one and I share my research. He then marks his privately. The clincher is though we are vote by mail, we tend to hand deliver or vote in person on Election Day.

I’m surprised checking mine, I forgot our district was redrawn, recently to ensure a GOP seat. Across the big street is another district, splitting our little suburb.

I'm curious for folks who've been volunteers for multiple election cycles, what it feels like this time around. I volunteered as a high school student in '08 for Obama, (before I could vote) and it was absolutely the most incredible experience. I volunteered and voted in '12. I voted, but couldn't do much volunteering in 2016, 2020 because I was in med school, and medical residency - I had absolutely zero spare time.

But for folks that were involved, does this election feel different to you? Having not really volunteered since the Obama years I only have those to compare too...and it feels really wonderfully similar (in terms of enthusiasm.) The stakes are regrettably so much higher and terrifying.

I’m in the Detroit area. I missed a rally here about a month ago because I found out about it the morning of and I was heading out of town. Now I just found out there was a rally here yesterday.

Where do they post updates about their rally schedule?

I'd like to start by saying their signs make them look stupid and are driving property values down. And that no sane, intelligent person could want a convicted felon, rapist, and traitor to be POTUS, and that America deserves better than a wannabe dictator. Maybe add that his cabinet and vice president do not support him, nor generals, veterans, union workers, women, minorities, or hundreds of top level republican politicians. Also mention the atrocities that are in his plan 2025.

Probably the people that put up his signs are the trumpiest of them all. But I want them to see something they may not have seen before on Fox or Newsmax. Likely wasting my time, but at least I might piss them off, which is nice. I have no sympathy for shit heads that could be responsible for tossing our rights and democracy down the drain, let alone the financial impact of a failed "businessman" trying to run a country when he doesn't have the intelligence to run a fucking lemonade stand. Thanks!

Let's not turn up our noses to the less savory parts of politics. We should do everything to win this fall, including deflating the enthusiasm of the other side. That being said, what are some messages that might be effective to keep those wavering Republicans home?

We make headlines with our wallets. Especially when they coincide with major events.

So on September 10th, at any point before or after the presidential debate on ABC, donate to ActBlue.

Even if it's just $1.

Because there's a headline up for grabs if we put our money where our mouth is.

Pretty much as the subject says, I am in need of advice. Unbeknownst to me, our neighbors are Trump supporters. My husband says he isn’t surprised since their kids are enrolled at the local Christian school. This issue I have is, our daughters are very close in age (ours is 8, theirs is 9) so are our youngest (our son is 4, their youngest daughter is 5). They have all become close over this summer. Even calling each other their best friend. Now, maybe had they never put up the sign I would have never known. They’re quiet and keep to themselves. I know there are Trumpers out in the wild that aren’t loud and bombastic. But now, they’ve taken it that extra step to display a sign; which let’s be clear, they have every right to do. My issue is I don’t believe that myself and those who choose to support Trump have a difference in opinion. What we do have, however, is a huge ass difference in morals and ethics. We are not religious people but we allowed our daughter to go with their daughter to two different vacation Bible schools this summer, which was fine, she had a good time and didn’t come home preaching to us so that’s whatever. But now, now that I know; how can I go against every ick that I feel down to the depths of my soul and continue to allow letting them play together, let alone allow our daughter to go anywhere with them? My daughter said they didn’t even know Kamala is a woman!! To me that screams uninformed voter that is just voting for the first mouthpiece to tell them what they want to hear. Anyway, advice anyone? Please?

I'm a senior developer and I wanted to "volunteer" for the campaign in a non-traditional way. I decided that I wanted to make a website, but nothing to be abundantly political. Therefore, I decided to make a website that's a repository of Kamala's recipes. There's even some recipes from Tim Walz.
