I added a nice Rooftop Lightbar, but in my area fog is a frequent issue and the standard LED light of the new jimny doesnt help a lot.
Are there some drop-in replacement amber fog lights around?
i don't want to add external lights for a better stealth look but i'm open to new ideas!
Picture for attention having taken the little blue rocket (jb64) imported into Ireland does anyone know what the largest tyre you can run on the standard 16inch steelies on the jb64 without modification or lift
Are the 2024 LCV Jimnys with a JS initial VIN completely manufactured and assembled in Japan? For instance one that was purchased in the EU. Or do they source parts/assemble them also elsewhere? Curious about the construction/manufacture breakdown...
Ill be removing my stock spare tire& cover and put a 16 inch rim and tire on the carrier. Whats the maximum weight it can carry? My new set is heavier than the tiny stock rim and tire.
Dear All
I am planing to buy Suzuki 5 door Jimny made in India from UAE and export it to Azerbaijan. As far as I know Suzuki Maruti emission norms at least for those in sale in India is sth like euro 6 (because in India emission norms are BH 6 more or less similar to euro 6). However, I was told that those exported to UAE have two kinds Jimny: one for Africa euro 2 and one is GCC specs euro 5, But, none of sellers in UAE could show me any certificate stating which euro emission it is. Itis not possible to check it by vin number as well. BUt they show me vin number and words in arabic around it stating it is GCC. All they tell me that if it is GCC specs it is euro 5. They also told me that only after payment for the car they will somehow (I did not understand how) will either contact plant or issue some docs with euro 5/ Why I am telling this because in my country Azerbaijan only minimum euro 4 cars can be imported.
Does anyone know about this and give some more info ?
I have a JB64 And I broke the front left lower control arm while off roading.
They don't sell parts where I am for the 64 but do for the 74. Anyone know if the stock OEM ones are the same for 64 and 74?
Or links for OEM 64 control arms? Suzuki dealer here won't even give me part numbers for control arms.
Or maybe upgrades recommendations?
Hi everyone, I’m from Panama, and I’m about to install a 40mm (~1.5”) lift kit on my Suzuki Jimny JB74 (automatic). While comparing Old Man Emu (OME) by ARB and Dobinsons, I noticed some key differences in what each kit includes. I’d appreciate insights from those with experience on why these brands take different approaches.
I’m also considering which tire size works best with this setup. My choices are:
• 215/75R15: Lighter, better acceleration and fuel efficiency.
• 235/75R15: More aggressive look, better off-road traction, but possible power loss.
For JB74 owners with an automatic transmission, which size feels like the best balance between performance, fuel economy, and daily drivability?
I like the tread pattern of BFGoodrich KO2 AT, but I’ve also seen Toyo Open Country A/T III as an alternative. How do they compare in real-world performance?
Would really appreciate feedback from those who have tried these setups. Thanks in advance! 🚙💨
Hey, any ideas what's this button do inside a JC74?
Just did some coating for my car. But the red one looks stunning. With the black grill it looks good. Wondering what shade would suit my car
I plan on getting a 5 door jimny this year and they’re all automatic where I’m from.
I know there’s a disadvantage because of the increase in weight. Would adding an intake / headers/ exhaust help a bit with more horsepower and possibly better gas mileage?
Also I don’t plan on going off-roading but there are a lot of dirt roads where I live. Would deleting the spare tire and carrying a tire repair kit be a good idea to reduce weight on an already heavier 5 door model?
Thanks for your advice!
Im almost dead set on getting the 3 door since i Don’t really intend to bring passengers anyway. But the thing is none of the dealerships near me have a 3 door on display or for test drive. Only the 5 door.
I find the space in the 5 door adequate if i slide the seat almost all the way back. It’s far from cavernous but still fairly comfortable. But again, ill have to slide the seat most of the way back.
So my question is , does the 3 door’s driver seat slide back just as far?
intend to have the rear passenger seats folded most of the time. Would that get in the way?
UPDATE: found a dealer with both on display, they seem to have the same amount of driver space. I couldnt tell if it pulled back just as much but was still very comfortable nonetheless.
Can I just install a bucket seat with just the side mount? Still deciding to buy a bucket seat just for the driver. Jimny JB74 Gen 4 btw
I was considering getting the Taniguchi front and rear LSDs for the 1999 Jimny Sierra for better off road and snow performance. Anybody here have experience with them?
My GLX 5 door is apparently different than what I have found on the web. Does anyone have the infotainment / stereo wiring diagram for this type?
I’m looking at getting a new Jimmy and downsizing from a Patrol i’m looking for advise of the manual vs the auto from somebody that’s driven both. i’ve driven over 7000 kms in a auto jimny and love it but i prefer to drive a manual is there much difference between the auto jimny vs the manual / do you find you have to shift down as much as the auto does automatically up hills and when on a incline ?
Allright, so I´m looking at air lockers for a gen 4 Jimny. I´m a little confused as some manufacturers mark them as different components to the gen3 lockers, while others mark it up as the same. ARB for instance lists them as "RD208 gen3" and "RD208 gen4".
Do the gen 3 and 4 fit the same lockers or do I need to be sure I´m purchasing a gen4 locker?
Curious about this, cannot monitor when engine is getting too hot? Unless I'm missing it
For those in the US, what insurance co are you using? Was it a pain to get your Jimny insured?
What tyre pressure would be best for this Little Rockstar with AT 215/75 and AT 235/75 tyres? Will it also affect the mileage a lot? Trying to figure out which size will be best on ATs…
Hi! Not sure if this is my first post in this wonderful community, but it's definitely one of the first since I joined before even owning one. But now, I'm a happy owner of this awesome little car that I bought ~6 months ago. It's second hand, around 3 years old.
And now it's time for servicing. Since it's my first time, I'm a bit confused, and I wanted to ask you guys if this is expected.
So, I brought the car to the official dealership for the scheduled servicing, and in summary, they told me it's the "72-month" service they should do, according to Suzuki specs.
Here are the details of what they told me needs to be done:
Total: €489.28
I’m in Spain, so I know prices can vary, but does this seem normal for a dealership service? Have any of you paid less at an independent garage? Would love to hear your experiences!
Also, since my warranty is already gone, is it even worth sticking with the official dealer for servicing? Or is it safe to go to a trusted independent garage instead?
Thanks in advance! 🚙💨
