Anyone looking for an 87 smog ready for California Samurai? I have been struggling for too long but it’s time to let go.
Saw this on marketplace here in Norway. SJ413 JX, almost rust free.
Can anyone here identify exact specs and if it’s a good deal? 1987 and about 300.000km.
Asking 2000 Euros.
Howdy yall, posted about this earlier on another account which I have since lost but wanted your opinions.
I’m getting a samurai that needs a new water pump inlet and carb this weekend.
I do not expect the replacement to be too bad as I’m already planning on pulling the carb and getting a 3k.
My question is regarding the inlet tube. It seems straight forward but I read on one forum that it needed to be pressurized in order to not leak from the o ring side. (I believe the dude was talking about a sidekick, I just couldn’t find much about that part and Samurais)
Is there any advice y’all could offer on this topic? Will running the engine be good enough to pressurize the system or do I need to do that by hand in order to avoid a leak?
Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to fit a 6 speed gearbox from a BMW 3 series to the sj413w? Since it's a divorced transfer case? On a SJ413W?

Is this normal operating temp for an 86? It never operates at the middle of the gauge just slightly below it. In colder temps it’s even lower.
I have all the donor parts I need for a Petroworks 1.6l 16v swap. I am now wondering if I need to completely remove the samurai harness (from the taillights to the engine bay) or will the 1.6 harness reach all the way back to the tail lights? As I understand it, the samurai under dash harness will stay stock except for the gauge cluster wiring so I will not need the 1.6 dash wiring.
Got a completely stock 87 and I’m looking at lifts.. I’m not looking to climb Mt Kilimanjaro nor am I trying to cross the ocean and throw rooster tails 175’ in the air. I want to fit 30-32’s and I want it to look good. She won’t be a pavement princess by no means, but I got a rzr to have all my off-road fun in! I’ve kinda narrowed it down to either yj spring kit or a SPOA. But if there’s something the internet hasn’t shown me I’d be down to check it out. What’s yall suggestions?
Hi all,
I'm looking for recommendations for good motor swaps for my 1.3L stock Suzuki Samurai. These are the biggest things I'm looking for:
Reliability
Fuel Injection
Manual
Good MPG
Speed(doesn't have to be crazy)
Power steering? I'd like to possibly add power steering so room under the hood to keep in mind
I've heard good things about the 1.6 16v (G16B)
But I don't know much about motors.
Any help/tips, or what to bring to my mechanics attention is appreciated! 🙏🏼
Thank you!
