Let's talk Japanese music. The goal is to be as far-reaching as possible, so that we can all share in our knowledge of the best music that Japan has to offer. Maybe you're a fan of classic rock? Or hip-hop? Contemporary pop? Traditional music? Noise and other experiments? You name it: we're interested.

it's pretty long, if memory serves me right it's around 5-7 minutes. there is this repeating baseline that goes all throughout it, and the vocals are a woman's voice and it sounds melancholic. one of the lyrics is something like "watashi wa" though i don't remember it well. the album cover is a woman with bangs and sunglasses, maybe playing her guitar, iirc the general color of the cover might be white. I'm not sure which decade it comes from but the recording sounds somewhat old so I'm guessing 80s or 90s.
Taka Moruichi 😍😍😍😍
So I found a really familiar sounding song on YouTube a couple days ago and I have no idea why but I seem to have lost any history of it
All that I can remember is that it seemed like it could have been from an anime, but wasn’t, and the background image for the song on YouTube is a massive tree with an anime art style
hi!! i was wondering if anybody could translate this song? it’s from a band called SEAPOOL, and unfortunately they disbanded this year in january, but their songs are amazing! they are a bit unknown, so their songs don’t have any lyrics uploaded. if anyone could translate, it would mean a whole lot ^_^ !!
I’m trying to sign up for eplus, but never get the email confirmation url into my inbox even though the address I’ve entered is defo correct. I have a Japanese number to enter later down the line but can’t get past step one of registering and it’s stressing me out - I’m trying to enter a lottery that closes soon. Any ideas?
Greetings!
I've been listening to japanese music for many years at this point, but I would like to ask to you people if anyone got any recommendations for music, both modern and classical, that incorporates typical japanese instruments such as shamisen, koto, shinobue, taiko and so on.
I'm currently studying music theory and I play many instruments, but I've always been fascinated by east-asian ones (one of my dreams is to play a shamisen), so I'm currently researching those. Any help would be great!
Thank you!

Looking for your help.
I've found a song I really like on a compilation album.
But weirdly, I can't find anything else by the band.
Can anyone help find any more music by them please?
The song is Hachigatsu No Inshow. The artist is Momotaro Pink. The compilation I found it on is Nippon Psychedelic Soul 1970-1979 Time Capsule.
Thanks

I remember hearing a song (probably from anime) which goes similar to the first phrase in 2:23 AM, ending with the word “kimo”

「風に吹かれて」 from the cheserasera seems to be taken off YouTube. If anyone knows where I can find it pls help me😭😭😭
I have around 30 of their songs on my playlist, far more than any other band. Do you guys know any band/artist that's similar in style?
My favorite songs from them are Mercirou [ex Negoto][2011] , Charon [ex Negoto][2011], and Great Wall [5][2013].
Recently started reading Yotsuba&! and found this artist and looking for some more music with the same upbeat happy vibe. ps I love Shibuya-kei!
Looking for songs with the same vibe/sound as these songs.
Looking forward to the new music!!

Yes ♥️
Honestly Alones is so underrated. I don’t understand why it isn’t number one on global billboard charts. It sounds awesome and it’s got a unique message unlike other songs. It is definitely my number one favourite song. Does anyone else agree?
