this may not your area but does anyone know how we could go about removing locations from GE / point me in the right direction of someone who could assist? there's some sites my company have declared as sensitive which should not be online
Hello, I am a regular DM for various TTRPGs. I am running a game set in the real world in the modern day and I use my own Google Earth project hosted in my Google Drive. Its a great solution for an interactive map the party can use for planning since I can add markers and shapes and such.
But this leads to my question. I want to run a regular D&D game set of course in a world that is not modern day earth and I want to use a custom map. Is there a way to overlay my custom map jpeg/png image over the browser version of a Google Earth project?
Im open to suggestions for other custom interactive map solutions, but I am not aware of any that are free.
how do I explore the moon and mars? I remember using the feature a while back but now I can’t find it in the app
I was using inspiration from some of the shape of islands in chile's lakes for a map of the game I am working I've already done the map but I wanted to see the island again for fun I dint find it hoever I did see this weird picture of a man either with a beard or a ski mask cant really tell where theres supposed to be water obviosly it was either a glitch or some programmer wanted to put it there here's the link if you want to take a look at it yourself. https://earth.google.com/web/@-44.79964862,-73.26151883,0.10144606a,25.04376985d,84.44793582y,7.29006809h,3.38813048t,0r/data=OgMKATA o yeah reddit isnt letting me post this image for some wierd reason but as i said before you can take a look at it in the link
Recently, more and more areas came up with really bad images. I tried clearing my memory and drive cache in Google Earth. I tried increasing them to the maximum. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting.
The blurry picture is from the desktop application.
Browser app
I also tried to reset defaults in the desktop app
I can't see elevation or do a lot of the stuff you should be able to do on google Earth. O used to be able to acces more settings and be able to see my altitude from my point of view, but can't anymore. Is this just how it is or can I do anything to change it?
I wanted to download a really high detailed map of my city, but the only way i found is to download many pictures and then make a collage of them, but this would require me days of work (if not even weeks) and it's not worth it. Is there a way or a website to get the same result?
I went to look at South Provincetown, MA just now and there is a distinct line of new sharp imagery and old blurry imagery south of that line.
I know it used to be sharp clear new imagery (I had found my car a couple of years ago) in that area, what happened?
I had to reset my pc and I lost everything and now I'm redownloading everything but I can't find the Google earth pro download, did they remove it? I loved that app.
I have noticed in GE that certain buildings have a fixed image that never changes. Even when I try to display a historical view. The image overlays. If there is a way to turn it off, I cant figure it out. I first noticed it when view Candlestick Point State Recreation Area. The stadium is overlayed. It wont show the newest image without the stadium. Even in the images that have a blurred satelite picture, the stadium is overlayed. Do the same with building in Washington DC and you get an overlayed image. No matter which year you select. I can uncerstand DC being secure and only displaying what they want displayed, but it doesn't make sense with Candlestick Point or other places. Pick one of your choice. HOW DO I TURN THAT OFF?
i KNOW FOR A FACT as a kid i used to go atop mountains, enter street view and earth would simply zoom in on that spot and show me the 3d render of the mountain range (not a picture, just looking at the models in first person), now its gone and telling me street view isn't available for that spot.
I DO NOT WANT TO ENTER STREET VIEW PROPER, just that standing and looking at google earths 3d models.
If I want to see what a particular drive might be like is there a service that will stitch photos together from Google Street view so I can see what the drive would be like?
I'm learning to use GE Studio for zoom-ins and a smooth transition to drone video for construction and commercial real estate. In trying to get the transition to be as smooth as possible, I'm trying to exactly match the FOV of my camera, which is a Mavic 3 Enterprise. DJI says the FOV is 84°. When I enter this into the FOV settings in Google Earth Studio it looks to be a much wider angle. I have adjusted it by eye to be as close as possible, but I'd like to find a way to match the FOV more precisely as this will be a regular need.
Any suggestions?
Im looking for a tool where i can create survey grids but i need something where i can define where the grid is and at what heading it needs to be.
wow why go backwards changing something to worse is not good why pull a Bud Light on us.
Can I download the Google Earth satellite map for offline use? Or any other services with this feature? I need to download an area of 2000 square kilometers for hiking.
