So, the most beautiful girl in the universe, Kouko Kaga, has decided, as a rich woman, she don´t need to wake up early, and smashing the poor Tada Banri´s Clock
peak
Did she took martial arts class at childhood or something?
Banri's ghost really need to chill.
They took it off crunchy roll and I wanna watch
Hi all..so I am here to share my thoughts about Golden time. I just discovered reddit page of this anime so bear with me.
This anime was the first anime I watched as proper anime and not a cartoon as anime is called from where I come. Today marked the day where I watched this anime 10th time in 1 year..this is how much I love it. Still brought me tears today(happy tears guys). In 1 year I have watched over 150 different anime but still I can't get over this anime.
I just wanted to write this because I feel like this anime has been one of the most underrated animes ever. Also I don't know why but I just wrote this so bear with me.
Thank you for showing all this love to this anime and thanks yuyuko takemiya for giving me memories of lifetime. Now wish to find a girl like kokou so ican watch this complete anime with her.
Thank you for hearing me rant :))
I think almost everyone has had a crazy ass Gf like Koko, over the top, annoying, and cute!
I thought this was just gonna be another mid anime that I'll watch and forget, wasn't familiar with your game GT, I'm sorry. Since this anime is pretty dated, any anime(esp new ones) with the same genre/vibe?
P.s. Rip AnimeSuge. Didn't know you were the best streaming site til I tried others today. I'll miss those I interacted with on Disqus
For me it has to be Banri saying „this isnt mine” right before the mirror broke… it was just so emotional 😭
"It's as if I'm fighting with my past self over the person called Tada Banri."
Golden Time.
What a wonderful series. It was such a wonderful experience. There are countless anime where the story is set in school, but there's only a few that are set in college/ universities. Golden Time is one of those. And it's somewhat different from the general animes.
At first, I thought it gonna be a basic drama. However, once I started the show, I couldn't drop it. The supernatural element, aka the Ghost of Banri, as one might be a bit odd, but I later found out it was taken from Japanese belief.
Banri's story was simply magnificent. It was heartfelt. His struggle to understand what is happening, to discover about his past, to learn who he really is. Was something that I really liked. The whole story was remarkable from start to finish. It was emotional, funny, and heartwarming.
Kouko Kaga's character was great. At first, her character was annoying, but as the story progressed, I started to see more of what the character really has. Her characteristics are funny and emotional, too. Her wits and whims were so funny and sometimes saddening that all she wanted was to be good for Banri. Everyone dreams of having someone like Kouko, don't they?
Linda's character was also great, though I wish there were some choices that she hadn't made, but that was part of the story. Her character added the depth to the story, a pivotal character that helped the two Personas realize their place. The characters of Yana, Oka, and Nana were wonderful. Everyone needs friends like them. And 2D-kun was literally the best wingman anyone could've asked for. His character was quite underrated, not gonna lie. Though Yana and Linda's characters had a hint of progression, I felt sad for Oka. i, for the most part, thought Oka and Yana would end up together, but that just never happened. That just made me sad.
"The present is ending. Here, countless versions of our past selves are always crying, laughing, falling in love, getting hurt, joking around, feeling happy, and suffering. These feelings are born all the time, and in the next moment, they become the past and die. It's over now. This is the end, but the truth is that everyone's time is like that. Right after it's born, every moment becomes the past and dies."
I personally loved the ending. I just wish there was more of it! Wish there was more after that, I just felt empty after finishing the series. The ending was satisfying, not only that it was heartwarming. Kouko and Banri's relationship's development was done so greatly. At first, someone might have thought that Banri would ultimately end up with Linda again, but the norm was broken. He chose the one he loves. And frankly, those two are the best together, meant for each other as they say.
The feeling of emptiness after finishing the anime is something I can not describe. Binged watched the entire series without 24 hour-ish. It's totally worth it. Had a wonderful time while watching.
So i decided to watch it because i was looking for a cure for the post Toradora depression but i actually found out it was from the same creator after i finished watching it. Damn that was sooo gooood. I was devastated for the final few episodes though because i didnt know if it was actually going to end up with Kouko and Banri together. It was sooo tense in the end and i started crying when the damn mirror broke. I think that the ending was better than Toradora, but the characters were more fleshed out in Toradora. One thing that bothered me the whole time was that Banri never told Kouko about his memories returning and left it for her to find out causing them to break up😖
No matter how many times I watch the final episode, when that mirror breaks....... 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Like as in the MC has a disease or a problem
Just finished this anime and I swear what a wonderful anime it was the ending especially was just absolute wholesome!! Although at the beginning of the anime it was feeling kinda boring and more like a drama rather than rom com I was not really in mood to finish this but still kept going and I'm glad I did that worth it!!
The MVP was 2D kun fr absolute goat literal wingman fr!!
Now to the question is would you explain me the last episode scene where linda says yes to ghost banri? how did she know about ghost banri? Or it was just in his imagination?
Just finished it, and man that was hard. But in a good way. The concept of Banri, and really everyone, dealing with the “death” of his current self was heavy. Happy with the ending, it definitely was the healthiest way with how the story played out. Linda is the mvp tho, to put her feelings aside and support Banri. I just finished masamune-kun’s revenge (again) and I can think of a character there who probably wouldn’t do the same thing in the same situation LOL. Point being, i feel like in rom anime’s, there’s frequently a push for characters to make sure their feelings are heard out. But in Linda’s case, she stuffed it the whole time. I’m actually a big fan of childhood friends winning in rom anime’s (often disappointed T_T), and would have been happy if there would’ve been a way for Banri and Linda to work out. But ending was still good and had me in the feels. My main questions: It wasn’t clear to me if Linda was actually there on the bridge scene. To me, my first Interpretation was that whole thing went on in Banri’s mind. if she was there, did she hug and confess to the real Banri, but Banri (and/or the viewers) perceive it as Linda hugging ghost Banri to help that part of him move on?
Here’s how I wanted S2 to start:
The group got graduated.
Banri & Kouko officially get hitched, bought a new apartment or house in the countryside maybe, & Kouko gets pregnant after a few months later.
Linda & Yana might fall for each other. (Might)
2-D gets better with his jokes & becomes a comedian
Oka has become a photographer right after graduation.
Nana becomes a metal musician.
Banri & Kouko finally have a child in the last scene.
Now what are your opinions?
I started watching golden time In April of this year and I was new into the whole romance/comedy/drama anime and for the reason I stoped watching was because I thought banri would end up with Linda so I dropped series their bc I was on team Kouko. I decided to continue the show recently bc I someone said that he stayed with kouko and I started watching it again. I give this show a 8.5/10 I truly loved it and they ended it right with first opening song overall a rolercoaster of emotions yuyuko takemiya did a great job with this story and toradora!!
I’m halfway through the anime, and I’m enjoying it, but I have a lot of thoughts. I’ve been meaning to watch this one for a while, and I know a lot of the story already.
My biggest question is the whole Kouko/Linda problem. Linda appears to be the better choice for Banri: she’s mature and capable, and she’s always there for him. Kouko is flighty and comes off a bit fake, even if she isn’t. (It’s hard to tell on the first watch-through.) Her relationship with Banri feels more like an abrupt rebound at times, while other times it seems quite genuine. But through it all, Linda always seems to be there when Banri needs someone.
The only sense I can make of it narratively is that Linda is too protective of Banri—that she is so good at avoiding hurting him, he stagnates. Alternatively, Kouko is very pushy and immature, and therefore she forces Banri to grow, even without realizing it. Is that right, or am I understanding this wrong?
On the whole, their relationship is very…confusing. Maybe it would make sense upon rewatch?
Edit: Basically, I guess I’m trying to figure out what Kouko and Banri each bring to their relationship. Or what Banri would bring to a relationship with Linda, and how that would be different/better/worse…
Am I the only one who thinks that scene was funny af? Literatly look how she dramatically falls down after her father performes the most flamboyant b!tch slap ever.
I don't know.
Let me start off by saying I absolutely love this show. It is easily one of my favorite romance animes. However there is on thing that has always taken me out of the show. Near the end of the show when Bonri’s memory is at its worst KoKo for seemingly no reason breaks off the relationship and abandons Bonri right when he needed her most. It was uncharacteristically cruel and selfish of her to do this to someone she professes to love unconditionally. I don’t know if this is just the writers trying to create drama but it was completely unnecessary. If this hadn’t been in the show, it would’ve been my favorite romance anime of all time. It’s always bothered me. Your thoughts?
