Review from same man who made this review of Hi-Evo 2. Was a long time in coming and thought it deserved a signal boost here for you all.
If any haters get in the comment, just remember: I DIDNT MAKE THE VIDEO. I am just sharing it because I thought you would like to see it.
I'm surprised because the first series was very well written, and then from Pocket Full Rainbows (although for me it was still average) the series had a fall start and the cycle kept looping itself every time. The new E7 comes out, everyone is happy, it comes out and series was be shit.
I wonder what happened to Bones that the stuff stopped understanding/respecting the series
As a pachislot, not a movie.
Absolutely loved it. It was a wonderful story, and I really liked the parts with Charles, as well as the ending. It did leave a lot of mystery, and I am sad that Eureka and Renton had to go to an alternate universe instead of staying with their loved ones, but reguardless it was a happy ending.
I am now wondering if any of the movies, AO, or the manga are worth the time. Most research I have done seems like people really dislike it. I am not sure however if this is because it doesn't match up to the original anime, or just because it is all around bad in general.
At the very least it would be cool to get some more context on the universe, so I would enjoy that, but just wanted to hear if anyone had thoughts about where to go from here. I have to say I got a lot of the feelings I originally got when I watched Evangelion watching Eureka, but the all around positive ending was wonderful and welcomed. Even if no one recomends the movies, AO, or the manga, is there any other Eureka seven content out there worth consuming ?
Thanks for all your thoughts and advice, and I am glad there is a community that cherish's this anime. It trully is a beautiful story.
Why is this so hard to find?!
I use to watch this show back when it aired on adult swim and remember liking it a lot, especially the openings/endings. I'd catch random episodes on air and was confused why the blue haired lady had butterfly wings and since I'm caught up on one piece I figured it was about time to give this a rewatch. I tried to look it up on crunchyroll but they only have what looks to be some kind of spin off or continuation? I went to funimations site and it redirected me back to crunchyroll.
Doodles again, any idea plz let me know😘😘 (Don't worry, they're not gonna fight. It's just April Fool lol
I'm glad we have gwen from Ben10 with us. Actually, I wanted to do more crossover, rei from EVA would be a good choice. And sry lately I have been busy with my game development studies, so I will probably only do doodles. If you have any idea just tell me lol.
Anime Limited announced in December that pre-orders will open on 8th February, but March is almost over and there's not a sign about this.
Not gonna lie, it's a shame that we have to wait this long. I only hope that they release it at some point, but I'm getting tired of waiting.
I messaged them on socials but they stopped responding unfortunately.
Are any of you waiting for this release or am I the only one? lol
I want to open saying that I am new to Reddit and have enjoyed my time on this sub.
I have a theory that I feel might help make the hi-evo movies ruin (less) of the franchise. This is focusing around Renton's role at the end of hi-evo 2 and the very end of hi-evo 3. In Eureka's 'dreams' we see screens referring to the main anime, Ao, Goodnight Sleep Tight Young Lovers, the main manga adaptation, and the PS2 games/gravity boys & Lifting girl. These are all viewed as dreams that Eureka had trying to find a way to have a world where she and Renton can have a perfect life/stay together. This was due to the immense power of silver box and Eureka's natural abilities relating to the scub/scab/what-have-you; I'm assuming you guys know the gist of the situation. To my knowledge that is only one of multiple times that a continuity had Eureka or another character obtain a large scale reality altering ability. Others being Ao getting the quartz gun, Eureka becoming the control cluster, the recreation/refusal of the myth.
I mention these as we see events and actions with these powers or things related to these powers that can seemingly effect other continuities or dreams eureka had/is having/would have. Examples include: Ao modifying his own reality and history in ways that Renton and eureka were completely unaware of, the tragedy of Doha observing a world that is either ~20000 years in the future or another reality entirely, or the Nirvash in possession of Renton being able to unlock a form/spec that is a combination of spec-3 and spec-V despite the two existing in completely separate millennia/realities.
Assuming that these are entirely fabricated as hi-evo 2 implies, how would Renton be able to appear at the end of 2 & 3? More importantly, how would Renton in an outfit that is typical reserved for the end of a given story's plot. We would need a Renton, who knew Eureka, desired to return to her/be reunited with her, have concluded his story, and not be from one of the dream continuities. In my mind this leaves the arguably canonical New Order manga that adapts the original planned ending for the anime. Unless I missed something that drags New Order into the dream continuity, I believe this would be the best case for the 'REAL' Renton in hi-evo 3. A world that existed in parallel, from the hi-evo 1 world, that Eureka and Iris didn't seem to have full control of, that houses a Renton that Iris can feel and know exist, but can't 'force' him to enter the castle to come to Eureka until the climax of hi-evo 3. If this is true, I feel that it would imply a level of agency across other realities outside of Eureka just being a god or whatever. This compounded with the reality altering of characters outside of Eureka using components of their dream, along with the cross universal travel in hi-evo 2, makes me feel that the dreams are far more physical and real that the film implies, simply because it is through the lense of an Eureka, observing that reality. If that makes any sense.
I feel like this makes the ending a little more impactful and a little less painful in terms of 'oh everything you enjoyed up to this point is just a dream'. Before anyone asks, yes, I realize that I am putting FAR more effort into connecting continuities and explaining away plot holes that the people making the hi-evo films did, even between the films composing the trilogy. I also apologize if my grammar or sentence structure isn't the best. I am sick in bed off work for a few days and I am feeling my medicine hard.
What do you guys think? I also recently purchased both New Order volumes and finally got to read the last two chapters with super rough machine translation and a miniscule amount of knowledge on how to read/understand Japanese. I thoroughly enjoyed New Order personally.
I heard there’s this
Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven
And Eureka Seven AO
Which order should I watch and why does swirls get hate SLSO IS THE AO series requires to finish the anime
