I have it and it plays great. I set everything to medium except hdr (set it to low) and texture detail (set it to high). I also set it to 40fps. Is this a good balance/ratio for settings/fps?

Also, does anyone play it docked on a TV?

Lastly I have an audio issue where the cinematic cutscenes (Grigori descending the sky) has no audio. I use Proton GE. Any fix for this?

Personally, the biggest for me is the ability to toggle certain armor features on and off, like shoulder pauldrons, long drapey-sleeves, and those huge elbow guards.

Additionally, the ability to save appearances for Arisen/Pawn like in Elden Ring

Dawg I just got to Battahl and I'm scared. Every step I'm charged at by enemies and then in a golem fight a griffon decided he had beef with the golem as I was about to get to its last health bar and sudeenly as I'm running away I bump into not one but two golems!?! I'm scared.

When i was not looking for onyx's, there were a million of them, now? When i am, looking for them.... THEY ARE ALL GONEEEEEEEEE.....wtffffffff?

I'm not sure if this has been addressed already but,

On my way to the Mountain Shrine in Vernworth, I noticed my pawn had dragonsplague (based on her eyes and behaviour). However, when I camped close to my destination, it seemed to have disappeared. Waking up, she even said something along the lines of:

"My mind feels clear, as if I woke up from a bad dream "

Has this also happened to anyone else? 😮

I haven't played DD1 in quite a While and want to replay/finish it. I'm not a big Fan of renting Pawns, though, since I like to have more Control over my Pawns, especially their Looks. I know that I could create alternate Steam Accounts, use Familiy Sharing to get the Key, copy my Save File and change the Vocation of my Pawn to rent it out, but that's arguably kinda tedious, especially IIRC and Stat Progression is tied to the Vocation that's active while leveling up.

So are there easier Options available to create my perfect Party?

The most far into the game, but still being able to free roam. Which quest i should not do? Maybe not cause the giant crater from appearing in Gran Soren? Or is the game better with the crater? Or just don't do the last quest entering the place which Grigori final fight is located? Going to replay after years and i remember there's something like that. Where's the best point in the game to pause the progress before major events happen?

This is beginning to drive me bonkers.

I've spoken to Magistrate Waldhar, got through the gaol tower with no troubles, followed instructions. He didn't want to leave without a mountain of times - great! I went to the slums and did all steps to find the Gracious Hand's Vaults. Now when I come back to Waldhar though, there is no prompting any kind. He just tells me he doesn't want to be involved in politics. He's got a reel of things to say, with no response prompts, including "Have you found me a place with plentiful tome yet?".

I have taken all the steps successfully, and have checked other posts and walkthroughs. I've done it in regular garb, and in Marcher garb. I've entered from the main entrance and I've entered from the back entrance. I have literally carried the old man all the way to the vaults.

...to be honest that was pretty funny, because he just old-man walks back to his cell when you put him down...

Anyone know if it's just fukt or if I'm missing something, please? I'm on PS5 if that matters.

Update: Sounds like he's only important for getting to the coronation? Somehow I bypassed needing to free him altogether to get to that point.

I have maxed Framae Blades, maxed Darkening Storm, Maxed Sapfire Daggers, and maxed Heavens Key. Is it worth maxing Dragon’s Ire and Chilling Razors for their elements? (dragon’s Ire is the only permanent enchanted shortbow). I play solo now, no pawns.

I was wondering is it normal that the UI is super low res even when playing on 1440p or 4k?

And even the graphics themselves are not really high res either.

Even after installing some high res mods it doesnt change at all.

I am mainly interested in pawn mechanics and general graphics of the game, so story and whatnot is not really problem as long it's not downright terrible.

Which have better pawn mechanic/pawn texture, the original(dragon dogma) or the sequel(dragon dogma 2)?

also how is the quest handled by both game? are they chore like or actually something enjoyable?

I've been wanting to play this game like crazy this year, but I saw that the game runs like shit even on good hardware.

I know that they dropped some performance improving patches last months.

The Practical Stuff:

You want to be active? Check into the Pawn Guild once a week, and your pawn's activity stars will be automatically restored in full to four once you use your Update screen. Go ahead and update as your pawn levels and/or change vocation, name, etc., that's now all under your control. Upload a picture file, you can request something or describe something about your pawn in Notes... and you're good to go!

Each Sunday, all pawns will be downed by one activity star. Once a pawn reaches 0 activity stars, it becomes invisible, however, if its creator returns later and reviews the pawn, using its Update will both make it visible again and active at four stars.

Each registered email 'account' will have the ability to list five pawns. If you have more than five, use a second email to create another set of five pawn slots-- and so on.

A note for Switch players: the way to find your pawn's individual ID code is to put up the Pause menu, use Status, then go to the second tab for the main pawn's profile. As long as you are online, your pawn's ID will be displayed.

All that said, if you want to ask for equipment or a rare material or item as a gift, this is the place in which to make those requests, too.
