I made this little bag for carrying my phone and a few cards for my summer outings. I based it on this YouTube video but added hardware and a button.
hello everyone❤️ ( English isn't my first language so forgive me if there is any spelling or grammar mistakes) I've been crocheting for months but my problem is that I cannot continue working on my projects. I work on them until halfway through, then I stop, and sometimes it takes me weeks to return to crochet, even though I love it and i really want to improve :(
Finally finished. 16 squares and a border. Pretty happy with it.
I'm thinking of going on a few dating apps, and I'm wanting to do a parody of those stereotypical 'man holding a fish he caught' pictures. So, I figured I could do that with a crocheted fish.
I'm having trouble figuring out what kind of fish I should crochet though. So, if you have any ideas or pattern recommendations, do let me know.
This 6-day Star Blanket from Betty McKnit was actually a 22 day star blanket… but who’s counting! I used 2 balls of Lion Brand Big Scoops in the color Mint with a 5.5mm hook.
My town's annual garage sale is this weekend. So I went through some of my tubs of crochet FOs to see if there was anything I wanted to put in. These were things I'd made 8+ years ago at least, mostly for fun or practice, and hadn't looked at in years, so I figured why not? These were made back when I first started making toys, so some of the earlier ones were... let's just say good for a beginner. You can see stuffing in some places even though they are under stuffed and I hadn't quite figured sewing and embroidery out yet so they were a bit wonky. I kept laughing going through the tubs because I knew I'd improved, but I hadn't realized it was by that much.
I priced the earlier ones at $10, even though that's a bit high for a garage sale but low compared to craft show prices for their sizes since I figured the worst to happen would be they wouldn't sell and they'd go back in the tub or more likely my one year old nephew's toy bin since there were a couple that he kept asking to hug. And no, those ones didn't have safety eyes. I priced the nicer ones higher. Honestly, I didn't expect to sell anything.
My mom just texted me with what they've been selling since it started a few hours ago. Some of it is my badly made toys. Apparently I've made $40 so far. I can't stop laughing.
Hi I'm about to have my prom and I would like to request some help in gathering ideas and patterns. Preferably free ones since I'm still a student. The theme of our prom is Hollywood Red Carpet. Dresses like maxis and ball gowns is the dress code. Thank you in advance.
Patchwork blanket coming together smoothly... This is usually chaos, but pipe cleaners and scrap paper numbers have changed my life 😂
I’m new to crochet and I’m making a blanket for my mom (wrong pick for a first project I know 😅). I started the fourth color and this is I believe the 3rd time that I have found this in the yarn. I’m more then halfway through ball of yarn so I don’t want to pull it and change the color
I made this little dishcloth from start to finish in just a few hours and I'm very proud of it. The pattern is from Daisy Cottage Designs. It's the Seaside Cottage Washcloth. I used a 3.5 mm hook, and Loops & Threads Classic Cotton in Creamsicle Ombré. The little loop is my own addition just so that it can be hung up to dry.
So I had a house fire a week ago (everyone’s safe thank goodness) but all of my yarn was out in the open and has soot damage. I know I will probably have to throw the majority of it away but do you think I could get the smell out of some skeins that are in a cabinet? (they’re discontinued so I REALLY want to salvage them :P) Or should I just count my losses and start over fresh? Thanks in advance!
I'm really terrible about finishing projects, but I did it! I'm so proud of this bag, I want to take it everywhere. It reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream.
I discovered I really love just shutting my brain off and making granny squares, so I just made them until I ran out of yarn in the color scheme, then looked up things to do with the number I had. Any tips on joining them so that they don't have that zipper pattern at the seams?
I did this to myself, thinking I can just freehand this T.T
A couple years ago I commissioned one of my internet clay artist friends to make me a set of 6 stitch markers. I gave her a prompt of things I like aesthetically (the color red, witchy, and cottage core) and let her have creative freedom to make the pieces. I absolutely loved the set. I was so careful not to leave them on projects or set them down outside of their pouch. I go through spurts and hiatuses with crochet, and I’m currently back on a spurt after not crocheting since December.
The last thing I crocheted was a hexagon cardigan and I wouldn’t have used a stitch marker for it. I looked through all of my past Etsy purchases and Pinterest saves from when I was last crocheting and checked every thing I made. I went through all of my bags of wips and checked the projects up and down. I emptied my crochet box and laid out each piece flat on a table. I’ve went through all of the places I store yarn. I only crochet in two different places - my couch, and my desk at work. I checked my desk, the bag of yarn I keep in my locker, all of my drawers, my car, and had my husband flip the couches. My husband and very few coworkers would have known it was mine and wouldn’t have thrown it away if it was found on the floor :( it’s the teacup that’s missing if you’re curious.
I made this shawl using the pattern puff stitch shawl found on the YouTube channel hooked by robin. I used a yarn called Atlantic color by miss tricot filati. Made for a dear friend so I'm very happy of how well it turned out!
It’s a controversial color. It’s a very open pattern for an afghan (although it rocks as a layered thermal blanket). It is far from perfect. But I am very happy with it.
And it only took me, checks notes in Ravelry, 10 years to do it. ( ◠‿◠ )
