Rules:
Posted articles should (generally speaking) be matters of fact While more than just Wikipedia articles are accepted, your submissions should consist strictly of factual information, or information that - if it has not been accepted as fact (e.g. paranormal) - has citations and evidence in its favor. If you are a creator posting a compilation article or video, your submission may be removed if it contains so much as one item in violation of this rule. The exception to this rule is Wikipedia articles that may refer to reputed or non-factual information that have been generally accepted by the Wikipedia community (e.g. not flushed).
Do not use sensational or misleading titles or post sensationalized content
Hate speech will not be tolerated Hate speech (e.g. incivility toward any particular group of people) of any kind will - generally speaking - not be tolerated. Commenters exhibiting this behavior will be given a single warning, and banned upon the second infraction. Whether such a ban will be lifted is subject to behavior and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Be civil Incivility in comments will not be tolerated, and comments that violate this rule will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned.
Promotional content is not permitted without prior approval if you have a YouTube channel, sell a book, make films, or operate any other sort of venture, any post or comment directing traffic directly or indirectly to such a venture is prohibited unless you have been expressly permitted to do so by the moderators of this subreddit.
No rehashed or aggregated content Media that simply collects publicly available content (or content from this subreddit) in to one place, typically for the purposes of collecting ad revenue is absolutely not welcome. This type of content includes (but is not limited to) "top ten" lists and videos, or "reddit videos" (such as that which SootHouse produces). Content that combines multiple sources as well as original research and focuses on one topic in order to provide a concentrated source of meaningful information is an exception to this rule, but may still violate rule five depending on how it is disseminated. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the subreddit.
Limit of one submission per user every 24 hours This does not apply to replies but gives everyone a fair chance and prevents spam.
True Crime submissions must be creepy Wikipedia versions of news & crime stories are allowed but should have a twist to them that makes them not just violent but rather unusual in the circumstances or have elements of weird, odd, unexplained etc.
No politics or religion specific posts or attacks Whilst it's inevitable these topics will come into some submissions by their very nature replies should not veer off into personal attacks. This violates rule 3 & 4 anyway so keep these off the sub and keep it friendly.
