Got a photo you took on your phone of a swing with a mad crazy shaft flex?
It's due to rolling shutter effect and there's no need to share it with us.
And we've seen every bad photoshopped ad with a guy hitting a putter into a chipping net or DJ hitting driver pasted on a putting mat in a driveway. No need to share those, they will be deleted.

As per picture/scorecard. First hole birdie putt hit flagstick and popped out; have not been part of the flagstick out crowd until now. Just putting on here to brag because I have no one to brag to who cares (wife does her best to indulge me).
Anyone start breaking par with any regularity after breaking the mental barrier? And yes I am aware it's not 18 and therefore doesn't count, can't play 18 regularly due to family and work obligations so I rely on 9s. Am aware this is a phony milestone.
Playing behind a group of middle aged guys who seemed like your standard high-handicappers. Playing a bit slow but nothing too out of the ordinary. Then these guys pull out some coke, and it slowly goes down hill. But it’s rare I see druggies on the course so I just try to enjoy the show.
One of the guys steps up to the tee box on a par 3, takes about 4 minutes of some weird warmup routine where he keeps talking to himself and running his club between his fingers.
Finally he swings and toes the ball about 10 yards to the right. His partners start laughing and decide to tell him to check the hole as a joke. Funny part is that this coke-head freaks out and starts celebrating. By the time they get to the hole he’s too busy looking for more coke to realize that his partners dropped a ball in the hole to keep the joke going.
What a day.
was looking for a new bag and came across this, looked for reviews but didn't find any. anyone have one or know a review (preferably youtube). Cheers!
For annual group outings - how does your group manage the bookings/lodging/financing of the trip?
First off the planning - do you let the members of the group take votes on location, or do you have a smaller group that chooses location, courses...?
Then for budget, how do you handle the finances that lead up to the trip. We have a group that continues to grow, and I feel like once we hit 16/20 guys that the post-trip venmo/zelle/cash situation will start to get too complicated + AirBnB Deposit/green fee prepayment, etc.
For those that participate in larger annual trips - how do you handle the finances and planning for the group? Does everyone pay their way and someone fronts the big expenses that need to be paid early? Is it constant venmo/zelle? Do you collect funds in advance from the group for the tip?
What works - what doesn't work - what would you change - etc.
Want to upgrade my old Cleveland 56. It’s a Cleveland cg16 and has 14 bounce. I use the club around the green and out of all bunkers unless the sand is rock hard. I have a 50 degree Vokey sm10 8 F and 60t I’m just nervous to lose this club I love but it’s worn and done it’s dash. What grind is similar to this from Vokey in the 56
On a previous post I showed a trademark TaylorMade had filed in early September for the Qi35. Then somebody who claimed to test hit the new family of drivers, woods, and hybrids commented with a assload of information.
I also have a family member who tests for TaylorMade who was able to confirm he was at the facility with. He also corroborated 99% of the same info, and originally told me the name Qi35 4+ months ago. Take it as you may, but we’ll know officially in about a month around 1/7.
“Qi35 will be the name. They will have 4 driver heads available for retail and a 5th head only sent to fitters that will have reflective “markers” on the face to help with GC Quad like simulators that originally required you to put dots on the face to get a more accurate reading. LS, Core, Max and Max Lite. The addition of the Max Lite model is for abnormally slow swing speed players meant to compete with things like Callaways “max fast” or “star” models they release every year marketed to slower swing speed players. The LS will have 3 weights that are set in place and not a sliding weight track they traditionally use in their LS models. There will be 2 3g weights ported in the front of the head and a 12g weights ported in the rear. These weights can be moved to change launch/spin characteristics and also draw/fade bias. The core model will only have 2 weights, one in the front and one in the rear. The max model will only have 1 weight ported in the rear of the head and cannot be moved as it’s the only weight on the head.
All drivers are grey carbon with a matte finish with light green accents on the sole and a black carbon face. The center of gravity on the LS model has moved slightly lower in the head, this change due to the gear effect will produce higher launch and lower spin rates on a ball struck in the middle of the face which is generally a recipe for maximum distance. Every model seems to feel softer than its Qi10 counter part. Stock shafts still include the “great value” ventus with updated graphics. A new version of the Kaili series shafts from Mitsubishi that will be available in a counterbalanced option and of course all stock shaft options available from previous years. Feel free to ask any questions I may or may not be able to answer, I’ve seen and hit all the driver, fairway and hybrid models and might be able to answer more questions.”
“The 3 stands for the 3 pillars of design, Fashion - the looks and visual aspect. Function - has to be better than previous generation Taylormade products. Fit - Has to produce optimal numbers and be able to fit any golfer with their combination of shafts/heads. The 5 stands for the 5 heads they will produce, in my original reply I said there was 4 heads and that is true, there is only 4 consumer heads available for purchase but there is a 5th head which isn’t any different in terms of performance but the face has “reflectors” on it which basically just gives a more accurate read on simulators like GC Quad. This head will only be sent to retailers/fitters for demo. In terms of the hosel nothing has changed, same Taylormade adaptor they’ve been using. Overall every head is more forgiving, from a spin stand point the Core head I feel like is higher spinning in its stock configuration but you can swap the front and back weights to change that. The LS head in my case tended to spin a little more than the Qi equivalent, again that could be changed with some weight swaps however, the Qi35 LS seemed significantly more forgiving than Qi10 LS. I had a Qi10 Core in the bag this year but easily see myself moving into Qi35 LS.”
-Qi10 LS vs Qi35 LS Dispersion and final thoughts:
“Dispersion from Qi10 LS to Qi35 LS was much better, felt like I didn’t have to hit it pure every time to get a decent result. Hits toward the bottom of the face seem to be greatly improved with the center of gravity being moved lower in the head. I feel like the balls I struck really low on the face didn’t jump up in spin rate like the Qi10 did due to the COG change. Overall I think the LS will appeal to a lot more players than it did last year. I liked the directional results and launch I was getting so I didn’t bother moving the 12g weight around at all. Tech wise I don’t think it’s a gigantic improvement necessarily, slight improvements I think they just moved their focus into a better area which in turn produced a lot better results.”
My dad was always a decent golfer, 10ish handicap and has gotten older so he’s not a big hitter. But he’s had retina issues and after many surgeries the doc said he could lose it anytime in the next couple years.
Anyone with experience relearning how to swing with an eye? Any pros that have content out there?
He’s topping the ball as well as skulling and he says it’s because he loses sight of the ball in his backswing, but I think it’s a depth perception issue and over compensating. Tends to either pick up on his backswing and skulls or chunk/sky high drives.
Just came to vent for a sec. Finding it very hard to develop touch. Most of the time I’m either too short or just totally launch it over the green. Why is it so hard to find the middle?? I do this more often than make a good chip. Very frustrating. I guess I just need to keep practicing to develop better feel.
Headed to Maui over Christmas, got a tee time at Ka’anapali Kai. Tips for playing the course?
I’ve already been thinking about changing my driver anyway. They got me with that “last chance to save extra 30%” cyber Monday deal
I’ll let y’all know how it goes
Finally getting fit tomorrow. Been a long time coming but I treated the only clubs I’ve ever known to a trip to Spyglass and Spanish Bay before I get new ones.
Will always love those clubs.
Just wondering is it worth changing my driver to an M4 as I have one currently laying around the house not being used. It’s a stiff shaft and my previous driver is a regular shaft. I’m an 19 handicapper from the men’s regular
So I am in a monthly tournament with a bunch of good guys. Ages 25-50 years old. It’s a two man scramble. It’s a fucking blast. Out of no where one of the guys breaks out a baggy on hole 4. It was for sure unexpected. I’m 35. I got a wife and kids. But I ain’t saying no. Come hole 5, I’m feeling super spiffy. I locked in at the tee box and had like a 3 sec pre shot routine. I crank a 175 yard 7i shot. Pin was in the back and I planned on only getting to 165ish. I fucking aced it. I did not know it went in till I showed up at the hole. I was so amped I threw the pin like 40 yards right when I saw the ball. Anyways, prob the highest point I have felt in my life on the course. Just wanted to share it haha.
Watched a grown man swing his club like an axe into the ground after a back tee shot. Second tee shot threw the club 30 feet at the cart. Probably rental clubs.
Hello,
I have a huge issue with sandbagging, it is being rewarded in my country for golfers who are clearly 10 or below handicaps that keep their handicap at 20 or higher. This is being rewarded in our national tournaments by sending golfers with dishonest handicaps abroad to compete, in betting tournaments (big 5) where the team has to add up to a certain handicap to compete for money, and even in scramble tournaments where golfers that shoot 77 or below consistently keep their handicaps at 20+ to compete in the C flight.
My question is what is the reason to be honest if it seems all the rewards go to the sandbaggers who keep their handicaps artificially inflated by never posting their best scores and only posting crappy ones? I understand personal improvement and that is why I post everything no matter what but it seems shitty when federations reward players who cheat and lie to keep their handicaps artificially high.
I may just be ranting or has anyone had this issue in their country or federation where there was some sort of solution to the rampant sandbagging, we even get caddies that play with 18 handicaps who never shoot above 80 no matter what (caddies here have impeccable short games!)
As the title suggests, I'm in need of help finding info on these clubs. Recently my dad found a bunch of clubs at his store and gave them to me, including a 4-P set of these. The only problem is that I can't find any information on these anywhere. He thinks it was one of his old employees that used to buy full bags and sift through them to find nice clubs that left these behind.
If anyone has any information or knows who I could contact who might know something that would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to replace my 1978 Titleist set with these but I'd also like some history if there's any
Why can’t I find this documentary anymore, it’s awesome…
Best $75 I've spent in along time, only had 1 owner and he said it's only had 1 round, used for 5 holes when he blew his back out and never played again, just sat at home for the next 27 years.
I have 2 drivers that I want to swap the shafts on. A Taylormade Qi10 with a stiff shaft and a Titleist GT2 with a regular shaft. I want the stiff shaft on the GT2, and regular on the Qi10
Can I take to a golf shop and just have the shafts swapped? I know each brand has their own adapters. Would I need new adapters or could they swap the adapters too? Or once you take off the head is the adapter ruined?
I was looking at True golf shoes mainly for the wide toe box. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these shoes? I’m also open to suggestions on any other brands that might be highly recommended? Thank you all in advance.
I live in Norway where booze is pretty restricted/controlled, I've never seen someone drinking on the golf course. Although I would very much like to try it cause it sounds fun asf.
It just seems a little weird to me, how often do Americans/other nations drink during golf?
Someone send urgent help. This was about 115-120 to the pin and i missed it short right, hitting a 54 degree
got a crazy opp from my work for a 70% off Cleveland/srixon whole order
ZX MK II driving irons: 2 & 4
ZX4 5i-PW, AW
Zipcore 54* & 58*
Cleveland HB milled 10.5 putter
can’t wait to christen these with a 120 round
I’m 15 shoot about 115-125 and average about 200 on my driver. My max drive is 237 but I need this constantly. When I do par 4s if I hit 2 shots perfect I don’t reach the green due to my low distance. With everyone saying work on putting and chipping should I in reality focus on hitting the ball further to get gir
Both are perfect experiences in the lowcountry.
I finally got some new clubs after a few years of playing some old Nomad irons (discontinued company that I believe made some custom stuff) that were bought used at a shop. Love the way these feel and sound. I’m hoping I’ll be able to lower my handicap a few strokes by the end of next year!
