inherited this sharp cd player from my grandparents and been having a blast listening to albums on it. i've never actually listened to a radiohead album before and decided to start with "in rainbows" here we go!
Any feedback is appreciated.
What prices do people pay for cd’s? I see at Goodwill they are priced around $3. Sometimes cheaper. Sometimes more. Rarely over $5. Record stores seem to sell them for anywhere between $5 and $10. That was a few years back. Been awhile since I checked prices at stores.
I’m assuming, based on what I would pay, people probably want to pay $2-$3 and probably no more than $5 usually.
Does a cd’s rarity or issue date come into play when placing a value. Like, I have some cd’s literally from the 80’s. Dead Milkmen’s Beelzebubba, Ramones’ Brain Drain and They Might Be Giants’ Lincoln and s/t. Are those more valuable because they are old or does it not really matter?
Finally, do people pay more for rare stuff? Like, is a Spaceman 3 Dreamweapon cd gonna sell for the same price as Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA? Which is to say, $3.
Thanks in advance for any feedback or opinions you may have.
I have jumped back on the physical media train after 15 years off it. I mostly collect vinyl though, but try to find CDs that were never pressed on vinyl and do not stream on Apple Music. My quest is mostly about discovering artists and albums and avoiding picking up something I have physically owned before.
I am really into Jazz/Funk/Fusion, Bluegrass, World music.
Beyond discogs searches one at a time, what do you use to know in what format an album is available?
How much is a rare cd 💿 worth ?
How much is my The Stonebrook Project Limited Edition Cd by Zauntee is, it's RARE !
Since my hometown doesn't have any record stores anymore, I tend to buy cds mostly on my trips to bigger cities or just order from online stores. This time I actually checked in advance that a store had these cds in stock.
I prefer jewel personally, card is more eco friendly and all but they get destroyed/flattened way easier and i find it harder to take the cd out.
Anyone got an idea as to why
Hello collectors! I hope I don’t get judged (too hard) for this.
So I’m gen z and as a child my parents definitely had CDs but I never used them personally. Well recently I received my first ever CD gift for Olivia Rodrigo’s new album and I got obsessed collecting them now. But here’s the thing, I have about 5 CDs in my collection so far but I don’t actually have a CD player haha…
So what kind do you all recommend for beginners to use? What’s a reasonable price to pay? Should I bother getting the more modern looking ones or are the retros always good?
Today, I made my own Beautiful Eyes cd and I put the printed imagine and stick it w super glue on the main cd. After it dried out I didn't want play it on my cd player so I'm asking yall if it is safe to put it in there or in my laptop to play after I used super glue on it.
Still in excellent condition.
