Also Discogs is a great website to catalog your collection and browse different CD's

Hey does anyone know what this little plastic piece with a peel able other side that came from the CD case is? Do I use it for something?
I recently bought a Cmt-ed1 from a thrift store and couldn’t test it in the store
I tested it at home and I saw that it can recognize CDs but only displays nod 15c and doesn’t actually play anything
I can’t find anything relating to nod 15c and after reading the manual I don’t know if I’m missing something because am and fm radio are functional
If anyone knows what this means Id be really grateful
Ok, for some reason most of my CDs were languishing in the loft/attic and was really missing them! Got them down a few weeks and some purchases to replace ones that had been bronzed /PDO’ed. Got some new storage and really excited to put them out. Forgot I had a lot of them , a couple of duplicates-‘many wouldn’t have bought again etc.
Look forward to seeing you lots opinion of my collection so far!
Also have more and wondering if I should have alphabeticalised them first?
Cheers!
this is the selection i keep in my car
Got my new Walkman yay! I got a lot of slots to fill in my mini cd holder thingy currently got the smiths, David Bowie, bon jovi, Ricky Martin, Macy gray in there. Got a large capacity case that’s nearly full so you name it I might just have it. What cd do you keep on yourself? Easy to listen to on repeat? Should be universally loved? Basically what would you recommend? I don’t do favouritism myself and don’t know any collectors
This Tivoli Audio desktop CD player has followed me from home to home, coast to coast, for more than 20 years. The way it's lasted this long, it'll probably last another 20 years.
Its fanciest feature is a little remote control.
Could I listen to any of my music through the studio monitors hooked up to my computer? Sure.
It's kind of funny the way that, now, preferring music on CD is just as luddite as preferring music on vinyl
But sometimes, I just prefer listening to music through my hi-fi..
(now playing: The Velvet Underground "Loaded". Few songs chill me the hell out like "Oh Sweet Nuthin'")
I have a huge collection of Japanese music. I have some "holy grail" that are still sealed, especially for the anime lovers (like SCANDAL's Shunkan Sentimental FME:BH), some idols too like AKB48
And does anyone here own it? I don't know if specific questions like these are allowed, it's just very beautiful piano - regardless of people's opinions on the movie - and I would love to have it on CD. If it doesn't exist I can burn my own, I'll just need to find the compositions lol Thanks!
A Tribe Called Quest- People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm Marilyn Manson- The Last Tour On Earth Ice Cube- The Predator N.W.A.- The Strenght of Street Knowledge Koяn- Self-titled Dr. Dre- The Chronic ZZ Top- Antenna SOAD- Toxicity
So I decided it’s easier to keep track of what I own than what I don’t own for cds and just keep a list of artists to look for or something like that. How do you guys handle this?
Last year I posted that quite a bit of my collection was ruined by flood. I have started buying new cds again, and finding old. But I have been playing each of my previous collection 1 disk at a time, front to back to determine which are salvageable and which do not work anymore. Obviously there is always a difference in quality and capability in manufacturing and design. But
My question; how do I identify the difference in qualities and capability? When I play the cds in my home player they skip and freeze as I expected. I almost threw most of them away. But the same discs that skip and are completely unplayable in my home cd player, play without a single skip in my truck. I’m looking to purchase a new home cd player, I want one that will play all the disks that my truck cd player has been able to play. My current home cd player skips and freezes on the same disks.
