Also Discogs is a great website to catalog your collection and browse different CD's

In my quest to complete Weens discography I recently found a copy of Pure Guava for too much money on Amazon, so I bought one. The other two albums are NOFX - Ribbed and Blue Rodeo - Five Days In July
A bit bipolar lol, but that’s just a part of being a music lover
so theres this album called "Cherry Peel" by of Montreal and ive been searching for the disc thats blue with animals, i saw one on ebay before i knew how rare they were but i didnt get it. i remember, it was in a plastic case. ive seen blue imported discs with no animals but idk if i should trust those.
the blue disc is a remixed version of the original songs and that is the version youll find on streaming. so if anyone has any information on where i can get one because all sellers of new discs never specify the color or mix of the discs
I know it's not the typical genres seen here and many of you will probably find the thought of someone collecting and genuinely enjoying children's music hilarious, but thought I would share anyways as this is a classic, and perhaps some of you grew up on this album and Raffi's other work.
The disc is in great condition, the case only has the one small crack seen here and I only 30 cent total so I am quite happy with this find! This makes the 51st CD in my collection, and if anyone is interested I will post my entire collection soon.
It looks like a record player and it also connects to Bluetooth!! Here’s the link: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT26SMJBg/
Listening to some recent pick ups on my 2011 Onkyo DX-C390 changer tonight. What's your favorite? I'm currently loving Black Cadillac, it's my first time listening to Rosanne Cash!
It has good reviews on amazon but i've heard older discmans are better than the newer players. Problem is I can't find any good old sony ones that will ship to me. Anyone know if this player is any good or can offer me any guidance? https://www.amazon.ca/KLIM-Discman-Built-Earphones-Compatible/dp/B088D39WM9?crid=1FFNUAIM6NQHQ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.stOFAaTiiudtIv0AjOWyReK6xf1xZkBdYisU_tBKXOSi6Hiw1lYvArW0cpojSqt4ffzeWFdacZsdYSPJYhhRzdzAUtGiGUOVQbWbYTk81GFHkWX5Ep5taV4aBigjmPf4_HiKWfLIoolqE60YXc4r0yNaViSbDC2uRw9M1CQlPG_H8Ddo8YdcS91BaBLrrWTQMazXsVQ7cTiINtfWFolCZ2RVmpkM_5K97mYMLKNCs60.mChHqq3Ll2drzTeTXkBeuKqRUUDG08Bl7gsQFcmtbBs&dib_tag=se&keywords=KLIM%2Bdisman&qid=1738452286&s=electronics&sprefix=klim%2Bdisman%2Celectronics%2C134&sr=1-5&th=1
Edit: I'm looking for a portable one that can fit in a coat pocket for on the go (like a discman)
With new releases slowing down this time of year it's a good time to start plugging holes in the catalog. Mostly new, a few used.
I am in the process of ripping my CD collection to MP3 so I can play them in my new car, which does not have a CD player. So I figured I would post photos of my collection here, as many others do. Here are all of my CDs with artist beginning with the letter A, plus a couple of extra because they don't fit anywhere else. Of course, you can probably guess what's coming later in the alphabet based on what appears here - e.g., Ian Anderson solo means I probably have lots of Jethro Tull. :-) Anyway...:
Picked this up in Walmart of all places. I consider this my newest release CD pickup even though it came out in December. I will admit the cover art is ugly but I do like the album.
It will begin reading the cd and then just turn off i have put brand new energizer batteries in it and I dont know what is broken on it
Per the title, we're at the halfway point, 2025. Been looking back and thinking about my favourite albums of the decade thus far, and if they're my favourites, obviously I defs got them on CD.
Here's mine, the albums I've blasted non-stop, everywhere and anywhere since the year 2020, probably in order of just how much I've played them:
Hit me with your favourites below, the albums that stand the passing of years, the albums you keep coming back to, keen to see what y'all love 🙏
If you could design your dream store that exclusively focuses on CDs (not a record store), what features would it have?
For me:
-A large $1 section and a “take your chances” 25 cent section for very scratched CDs.
-Lots of new releases, especially by smaller/unknown artists and labels.
-Notes by the staff on CDs they really love.
-A browsable website, particularly for the newer releases.
-A nice listening station (or multiple listening stations) to try out CDs you’re unfamiliar with.
I currently own a record shop and have recently been considering shifting my focus to being mostly a CD store, so really this is a selfish post where I’m looking for inspiration!
