Hopefully we can get this subreddit off the ground, but for now it will be a bit slow. Please subscribe and submit links to help get it started!
Also Discogs is a great website to catalog your collection and browse different CD's

“Whatcha’ll know bout dis?” He, a white male in his mid twenties, said in a noticeably forced blaccent.
Seriously though, do we have any post-rock fans here? Also, ignore the book, I sent this photo to a friend who passed recently. I try to keep them in my life still. I tell them about the books I’m reading and the new music I find...
I already have a copy of A Dream Too Late but this one was still sealed.
The case on the Disturbed CD is cracked and pretty banged up but I have extra to replace it with
So, I want to buy more albums, but I don't know which one! I want you to recommend me 5 albums! Every genre, less Techno or Kpop.
Found a bunch of R & B Promos in the garbage and cleaned them up
My dad just randomly gave me his Pet Sounds CD.
He said he listens to his record more than the CD and didn't need 2 copies of it.
Some more ebay pickups. The Abba is a harder to find 2cd version. Megadeth and Queensryche were new. I was surprised how much I liked the Republica album (they're only known for "Ready to Go").
I’m curious about how you use your CDs in your space. What cool ways do you turn CDs into art or decorations? I’d love to hear your stories and see any pics you have.
It's hit and miss in my area.
Been pulling my hair out trying to get some cds digitized, I’ve been focusing on a Beatles set and many work perfectly fine but others have been hit or miss with only one or two songs causing issue to half a album. Was there any known defects? Is accurip just not a perfect creature? I’m at the point where sometimes it shows some songs not being in their system and I get a red mark. Some I simply can’t get to rip correctly. I’m going back and forth between my laptops external drive and my desktops internal drive but it’s been a headache. Any tips as it seems any software I try gives some sort of issue.
These are my favorite finds from this month. How did you guys make out?
I can’t seem to find it online, just similar from the same brand i believe. i also can’t find a serial number, so i’m wondering if it’s possibly a bootleg? Says it’s a ProLine PL-55, but no results when searching for cd, fm radio, mp3 player, nothing
This is a hard to find EP released by the Japanese heavy metal band Paledusk. I got it signed 2 weeks ago at their secret headline show in Melbourne!
I've noticed that a lot of the earlier CDs of underground japanese bands can be quite hard and pretty much impossible to find. I recently spent $250AU on praystation 2 by CVLTE.
First of all, I respect all of you as a fellow archivist, so thanks.
Does anyone have a digital copy/collection as a backup/disaster continuity plan? How do you deal with searching and transporting? Or listening on demand.
I personally digitized my collection and continue archiving digitally as I needed the metadata and portability.
