Cardistry is the art of creating fascinating motions and formations with a deck of cards.
For a quick intro, see Liquid Paper, Fontaine Fam, or a full uncut performance here.
How can I learn this?
We've posted a beginner's guide and community-selected tutorial list in this thread.
Just add your own deck of cards and you should be ready to go :)

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I wanted to gift him something related cardistry. He has been practicing the art form for over a decade now so I know it means a lot to me. I on the other hand, don't know much or anything really so I came to the OGs for help. Please suggest the one gift that he would be thrilled to receive.
P.S. He already owns multiple decks and I'm not sure which ones he doesn't have at this point.

Hi I was just wondering if I am doing the Pandora's opening correctly? thanks :)
Hi I was just wondering if I am doing the Pandora's opening correctly? thanks :)
I mean moves like “flappy” where the packets flip and flop on the hand/each other? Kind of been getting discouraged at some moves so I wanna expand my repertoire
Finally decided to jump into cardistry and having a ton of fun so far.
I'm pretty good at an on table shuffle and bridge, but in air I can't keep the cards in my hands. I've seen tutorials with the grip on your middle and ring finger using the first joint and videos where the grip uses the second joint of the fingers. Any tips on how to hold onto the cards better? It feels like it's really the only missing piece for me. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!

What did you guys think of the Undercover Fontaine?
I’ve been trying to learn this trick for a few days and it’s not really working out. The cards don’t really fly out as smoothly as I see other people do and sometimes they won’t even land in my hand, they’ll just go in random directions. How do I improve?
The two stacks of Virts kind of got cut off
Hi, on the Mockingbird move, does the middle/tornado cut packet get spun by pushing it with your finger or is it an actual spin like the Skater’s Kick flip move? I’ve watched other performances and they spin it super fast so I wonder if they are flicking it or pushing it really smoothly.
When I try to search for the website it doesn't show up and the link in their ig account says it's expired, just wondering is it just me or did something happen to fontaine.
i taught myself to ( I think it’s called bridge shuffle?) years ago. u had no idea there was so many more cool things to do with cards! That being said I’m sure it’s clear that I am new to cardistry. I am also an artist and was wondering about POD. ( print on demand) decks of cards, And if they are considered good cards for this skill? My plan is to learn the moves as well as create cards that look cooler than your basic bicycle deck when fanned etc. I am not just looking to capitolize on this market but I want to become a part of the community learning the moves and allowing others to learn along with me.. my plan is to sell limited amounts of each card design so there doesn’t end up being a favourite card everyone has. Maybe using different colours for the same design sometimes but trying to create new designs regularily as well as designing custom cards personalized to requests from customers if they have something in mind. .. would this be something that would work with the cards they printon? i dont want to sell sub par decks with killer designs no one can trick out with
A bit papering and sticks to my hand but otherwise quite nice
I have the idea of making a discord chat room for worldwide magicians and cardists. For like for us to jam, collab, or just talk about what we love. magic and cardistry. For me it's been hard to connect with people that like it and I rarely get to talk to people around me who have the same interests. So I have decided to create a chat room for magicians/cardists/playing card lovers(feels can be a fun and enjoy way to connect with people) so comment on this post or pm me if you are interested and would like to join the chat room. (repost for letting more people to know thx)
I recently got a lotusinhand #04 pack and was wondering if it’s supposed to be some thick ass cards. Never really had any cards this thick where it takes up all the space on the box and was wondering if this was normal
