Sooo I bought a Vancouver millionaires cap on Amazon and it has more of a purple tone than burgundy, which I don’t love. I’m gonna return it anyways cause it has a few rips in it, but I was wondering if anyone has bought one recently and if so, where, and is it purplish like this one? It seems like the only other place that has them in stock is Vanbase, but I don’t wanna spend all that money for it to just look the same.
Hey folks,
I worked for the team for 5 years in the mid-late 2010s. I'm now moving down to the states and have to clear out a lot of the stuff Ive been hanging onto. Id much rather give it to a fan who will enjoy this stuff than throw it out.
If you want this stuff, it's yours! You just gotta come pick it up this week and take it all. DM if interested.
Stuff like:
This is totally how it works.
Got the email about the seat relocation event for the upcoming season and they linked to this pricing map: https://image.e.canucks.com/lib/fe3711747364047e751575/m/1/45bad40d-0353-4efd-8f99-01b2e3d7612b.pdf
Seems to be higher than 23/24, but lower than 24/25. Was this just a previous sale price for the upcoming season (that I missed) and they forgot to update the link in the email or what?
I love Dakota Joshua.
But, we are (hopefully) way too smart to offer him the rumored 3.5 to 4 million deal he is likely to be offered as a UFA.
I like some of the names being mentioned as guys to acquire and develop.
Yes, I know this is stupid, but I can’t help but keep thinking about it since I learned about him a couple years ago with the racism incident that occurred while he was in college:
Jagger Joshua (yes, his brother).
There just seem to be so many similarities in terms of both of them being really late bloomers.
—-
Dakota Joshua
6’3” and 200+ pounds
In 2018-19 at the age of 22, he scored 22 points in 32 games (0.69 PPG) at Ohio State University
In his 1st year of pro hockey, at the age of 23 (30 games in the AHL and 20 games in the ECHL) his numbers were 18 points in 50 games (0.36 PPG)
Jagger Joshua
6’3” and 200+ pounds
In 2022-23 at the age of 23, he scored 24 points in 37 games (0.65 PPG) at Michigan State University.
In his 1st year of pro hockey, at the age of 24, he scored 25 points in 63 games (0.40 PPG)
Jagger is a LW but has more of a mean streak than his brother (who is a center).
They both seem like they have a lot of similarities with the major one being it looks like they both are (or could be) late bloomers.
Just 2 years ago at the age of 22, Jagger had 8 points in 36 games in college and was 12th in team scoring. A year later he was 4th in team scoring. His first pro season was more impressive than his brother Dakota’s.
Dakota Joshua as a first year pro struggled so much in the AHL that he was sent to the ECHL just 4 years ago. Now he’s an in demand UFA that might get a 4 million/season offer from the Red Wings, and likely won’t sign anywhere for less than 3.5 million per season.
Jagger has 1 more season left on his AHL contract with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. I don’t believe he is Pittsburgh property, just simply playing in their system and they will assess if they want to offer him an NHL contract, so he’d be easy to acquire.
Yes Jagger is a long shot…
…but at the very least our AHL teams needs a guy who is willing to drop the mitts when teams goon are young guys (especially this upcoming season with Lekkerimaki down there at least for awhile).
So a worst case scenario is he sucks as a legit NHL prospect but provides some value to the organization as a guy who can and is willing to protect his teammates.
I know it’s dumb because yes I’m basing this mostly of bloodlines, but I’d offer him a 1 year, 2-way NHL deal…and see if there is something there to work with.
If that doesn’t work, see if there are any other brothers, or sisters.
Failing that, find out how old his dad is, and if he can kill penalties.
In terms of customization jobs for this jersey, is it more appropriate to get a player from the 70’s or a player from the 2000’s (when I think the team brought these out?).
New to this and a bit lost on this one! Any advice appreciated 😃
How’d the Canucks do at games you guys attended?
Just read that the BlueJackets are working with Patrick Laine on accommodating a trade for a fresh start.
What would thoughts be on the Canucks inquiring about getting him? And for the right price would you like to see the Canucks go for him?
I think for the right price, he would be a good risk to take on. I mean he has talent and can score, and you never know, might have chemistry with Petey.

Had an awesome time watching the games in the summer. A more wallet-friendly option than Canucks games, and they opened up the rink pre-game for a public skate. Games were super fast-paced. If I recall correctly, they also ended up playing at GM Place for a season. Ah, the '90s 🙂.
Look at those eyes 😳
