Bring back the alien

So far, Hughes has 2 goals and 6 assists in 9 games. The entire rest of the D core has 7 total points, all assists, topping out with 2 assists each for Hronek and Myers.

This doesn't seem sustainable. Here's hoping we can add a 3rd/4th D who can put up ~30 points to help spread out some scoring on the blue line.

I'm curious what people think of the current offensive production from our Dmen!

We are 4-2-3, currently 3rd in the pacific with 2 games less played than most, having 3 day breaks multiple times not able to find rhythm (our December is non stop in comparison), we are missing demko and petey/miller are playing injured.

How is a 4-2-3 record with 4-1-1 in your last 6 acceptable to throw jerseys on the ice? I understand how bad the game was, I paid for nose bleeds and my nose physically bled from the state of that game. Even the Edmonton sub is handling their worse start better than we are, THATS embarrassing. I’m not happy at all with our start, but it’s 9 games in the season. Less than 10% of the season is done…

We are missing our Vesna level goalie… of course the team isn’t going to look as good. It’s almost like demko hid a LOT of our defensive issues and the team was able to be more aggressive due to that. You can see the confidence change when he’s in net.

Hi guys, I am a huge ice hockey fan however l'm from Europe so I am a bit confused with NHL still even tho I want to get to know more. I am coming to Vancouver in January and I really want to go see a match. I am torn if i should go see LA or Buffalo. I would really appreciate help in choosing which match could be better. 💙

As you know, Canucks played the Devils today. Since I live in Europe, games start at early in the morning or really late at night for me, so I’m really sleepy and it has become a common practice for me to take “intermission naps”. During one of those naps, I saw a dream. The Canucks entered the playoffs and…all goalies got injured. Demko, Šilovs, Lankinen, Tolopilo, Young, Lemieux…literally everyone was gone when they reached the finals. Only two goalies were willing to play for the Canucks, the returning Jaroslav Halak and…me. Yeah, I was the backup to Halak in the finals, at least in my dream. So, now that the backstory is over…it was game 7 against the Panthers, and the Canucks were up 3-0 after two periods(Petey scored all 3). And then…Barkov crashed into Halak’s knee and I obviously had to fill in for him. It was a really rough start for me, as I let in two soft goals from Reinhart and Verhaeghe, but then I found my game and stopped everything that came at me. The last three minutes of the game were approaching, and the Panthers pulled Bobrovsky for an extra skater. I poke checked Barkov and the puck just trickled into the empty net for a game winning goal. The last thing I heard before waking up were deafening cheers and the sound of the goal horn, with the entire Canucks roster piling on top of me. And then…I woke up to see the Canucks trailing 3-0 to the Devils. So lame.
