Okay. This documrntary came out in 2000 and documented starvation and deaths of hundreds of people in Ontario yet it gets swept under the rug? How on earth. What happened in the film was a quiet holocaust against the poor and disabled and of course it's happening again today, but back then it was documented on film. They even showed the autopsy of a man who froze to death in Toronto and doctors removing his organs and placing them on jars. The showed all the children who were in hostels and sleeping on the streets with their Mothers. They talked about malnutrition of children in Ontario during this time.
This was 24 years ago. Where was the outcry? Where is the out cry now? Nothing has changed. What a nightmare
There is no justice.
The US is seeing protests across some of their most prominent universities, which is awesome to see. Yet i dont find the same intensity in Canadian Universities..incredibly not even Quebec, which has a history of students organizing.
What gives?
Or have University protests been very low key?
Seems like a pretty horrible strategy if we want our public education to ever become more than the far-right neoliberal/fascist indoctrination that is always has been.
Hey everyone, I am a young student looking to join a youth league. I am new to this so I have no clue how to well...join or really get involved. I saw a "Join the Young Communist League" but the sign up is a Google form, asking me for my address and other personal information. I don't mind that it's a Google form but I don't understand why I need to put my entrie address to sign up.
Is this normal? Idk
I worry about the future of this country. The right are loud and will take away bodily autonomy, if given the chance
