I built my pc about 2 years ago for around $4,000 I believe give or take and am looking to sell it on fb marketplace or something of the sort but don't know how much to sell it for. I used it pretty consistently for the first year but now only use it maybe 4 times a month or so.

Basically exactly what post is titled as… will my current PC build support a GPU upgrade to something like a GeForce 4080 (something that will support all new AAA titles in Highest settings or close to)? If so, I’m sure CPU, Motherboard, power supply etc will need upgrading as well… if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations I’d gladly take them! I will list my build below 👇🏼:

Building a PC for my friend and this is what I came up with so far. Going to be using a 1440p 140hz monitor.
How have I done, first time building a PC, monitor is an AOC CU34G2XE.
Budget is pretty much all up approx ~1,300 GBP (happy to stretch a bit if it’s worth it), ok to stretch a little bit but don’t think I need to. Have done my research and this is what I’ve come up with.
Use cases are productivity and gaming. Productivity tasks are things such as light Creo (3D modelling work), browsing, other software for playing around with.
On the gaming front it’s mainly for games such as:
Going from a prebuild from 13+ years ago that has currently died. Was an RTX 970 graphics just to give an idea.
Hello everyone, my gaming laptop is starting to struggle so I figured it's high time I upgrade myself to a PC. I will have to get all the peripherals for the damn thing but the 1.3k budget is for the computer itself.
I'm not very familiar in terms of hardware so figured I'd reach out for help here is what I'm looking for:
I need it to be able to play Monster hunter wilds, pasting the required specs below. in terms of case and 'aesthetic' or whatever I do not really care what the case or computer itself looks like, I just want to play Monster hunter and red dead 2....
thanks for the help in advance! Another note is I have a microcenter 1 hour away from me that I'm willing to drive to as well.
This is an update to a post I made a few weeks ago, which initially had a price cap of $250. This is more or less a holiday present my folks are getting me and need me to give them the item list. Recently, some family members decided to chip in, so my price cap is now ~$200 more than the initial post. I used a comment from this thread as a base (many comments in my original post pointed out it's outdated, and I'm aware, but I know jack shit about "best" pc parts. I'm here for an affordable gaming computer with parts I own, not a high-end e-gamer rig.) Here's the current part list.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/th3zNz
All purchased parts I already have and I'm unlikely to replace them with anything new, especially the graphics card. Replacing the GPU would probably use the entirety of the budget my folks have, I will disregard any comments about GPU replacements. I am willing to consider a PSU replacement if a good case is made. I will also disregard comments going past $500.
I hope I don't come across as an asshole with that last paragraph, it's just very tiring to have read comments that ignore my parameters.
-Budget
$3000 US. Would like to buy all/most of it at Microcenter.
-Operating System or Peripherals (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, etc) needed?
No
-Where you are located (country and state/province, ideally)
GA, US
-Intended use
Gaming. Currently playing Path of Exile 2 and my current PC doesn't hold up. Can't get above 30fps in combat no matter how low I set the graphics. Same with Elden Ring.
I like white towers, but I also like those that look like they have wood on them. Not that important though. Would like a window to look inside.
I'll probably try to overclock everything if possible if that matters. I'll be removing the drives from my current PC and installing them into this one, so no storage required for this build. Here's my current build in case the drives are important to know: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Franco55/saved/NjTTnQ. Don't know if I would have to reinstall windows or what if it's the same drives.
My current pc I built in 2016 for around 800$ and it has currently just taken a dump and im looking for recommendations to play said games on max or high settings while still having decent fps. I dont need 120fps 60 is acceptable. I already have monitors etc and don't care about RGB guys etc. Also if this doesn't really seem possible for the budget a little over is totally fine!

Is this the best way to spend $1500? Will be used to play Cyberpunk and future games GTA VI. Buying the Microcenter bundle. Received a lot of great advice and am looking to see if anything is out of place here before hitting the buy button.
I have this SSD from my old Dell pre-assembled, it's a m2 2230, and my new motherboard doesn't support it and I don't know what I can do because I have all the files and windows.
I was wondering if there was an adapter or method to transfer all my data to a new SSD
Hi,
I’m looking to buy a pre-built gaming PC in Denmark and have two options I’m considering. Both are in the $920–$980 price range, and I’d like some input on whether they’re good value or if there are better options for a similar price.
Option 1: Ultra Prime RGB (approx. $980) (Topdata.dk)
Option 2: Fcomputer customizable PC (approx. $920) (Fcomputer.dk)
I mainly play games like LoL, Valorant, and Marvel Rivals at 1080p/1440p and aim for 200+ FPS. Are these builds good value for the price, or are there better pre-built options in Denmark around this budget? Thanks in advance!
Hello reddit, I have a budget of 1500€ (can extend like 50€ more if needed) and I'm divided between two pre-built Desktops I've seen on a website. Keep in mind I will do gaming and possibly 3DModeling.
Please advise on the following and state your argument:
1- i5 14400F / RTX 4070 Super 12GB / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 2TB HDD : 1 409,00€
2- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D / AMD RX 7800 XT 16GB / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 2TB HDD : 1 364,00€
ps: I know of the issues surrounding the Intel's 12th and 13th cpus having issues, but from what i've read around, people have stated that Intel has provided a microcode to solve this issue.
Thank you
Hey everyone! Since 2018 I have been running a prebuilt iBuypower PC with an RTX 2070/i7-9700K. Recently it’s been starting to show its age and I’ve decided to build my own PC. The PC would be used for gaming most of the time, with some schoolwork not involving tasks like developing or graphic design. I currently run a 1080p monitor but would be upgrading to 1440p. I’m looking for a build where I can more or less close my eyes for the next 5 or so years and not worry about running games smoothly. After consulting tech wizards on Reddit and other places, this is the list I have compiled:
This micro center bundle: https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006995/amd-ryzen-7-7700x-bundled-with-a-gigabyte-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2-mb-and-gskill-flare-x5-series-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit
This parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/88w2mC
My main question is choosing between the Ryzen 5 7600X3D bundle or sticking with the lower priced Ryzen 7 7700X bundle. I chose 2TB of storage because I don’t want to rotate game installs, and would like storage for my schoolwork on top of my games. Aesthetics also don’t matter for this build, mainly functionality.
I’m a total noob when it comes to build, so any insight is greatly appreciated!
Hello everyone i am about to buil a case with 4090 and then i relized that 5090 is near so its worth it to buy 4090 for now or i should wait for 5090 and if any of you knows how much the price will be between 4090 and 5090? Thank you all. Edit: i wrote wate wrong i know its wait
So a friend of mine is going to study a mechanical engineering, he is trying to build a pc and he has this list of components:
Processor: Ryzen 5 7600x
Cooling: 240mm liquid
RAM: 32GB Corsair DDR5
Memory: 1TB M.2 SSD
Motherboard: Asus prime b650-PLUS
PSU: 850w-80 plus gold
Graphics card: RTX 4060
atx cabinet
then, what do you think? he wants advice about how this may work in this context and if he may get some better componentes, his budget is around the 1150 dollars
I completed my first build recently, I'm using a GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard and PCCOOLER C3 T500 ARGB Mid Tower Case. Is there a way I can control the speed and RGB colors of the case fans? The case comes with six 120V ARGB fans, and there's a LED button on top which does nothing when I push it. Please let me know if I missed something in the build, thanks in advance.
I'm trying to build a pc with a $850 budget. I wanna play valorant, COD and other pvp games. I wanna use this for gaming and discord too. I mostly want it for college and gaming. Is there a build for this overall?
Looking for any last minute modifications. My son is into programming, senior in high school, does quite a bit of video editing gigs, and does game about 25%. Looking to surprise him with a new rig for Christmas and would love to get any last minute adjustments in. Love to know the community thoughts on this. Trying to keep in under 1200, but willing to go over slightly if it makes a good improvement
And maybe some a decent mnk and a monitor 500 euros budget for these 3.
Thanks
Hello! I am fairly new to PC builds but would like to start by upgrading parts and finding a nice case!
My current components from a pre-built that I bought:
CPU: Intel Core i7-11700KF 3.6GHz (5.0GHz Turbo) 8-Core 16-Thread
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB
Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming Z590 Plus
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB
SSD: 1TB Intel M.2 NVMe SSD
CPU Cooler: EVGA CLC 240MM AIO
I am a full-time content creator and need a machine that can handle video editing so think that switching the CPU type is recommended?
I would love to find components that are white wherever possible and a light blue case! Thank you for your help.
Hey I want to build a gaming computer with NO RGB. My previous pc had a 1660 super so at minimum I'm looking for something better than that. AMD or Intel CPU is fine.
Hey! I'm building a PC for the first time ever, and this is what I managed to fit in my 800 euro budget. https://pt.pcpartpicker.com/list/jZtQ6Q
Before I buy the stuff, any changes? And also, what should I know BEFORE building the pc so I don't mess it up. Tysm guys
Hello Community, my girlfriend and I are building a PC together for the holidays, and we wanted some help when it comes to picking parts (AKA the hard part).
The plan is to use this computer for light gaming. Think minecraft/stardew valley with mods. When it comes to graphics: I plan on using the computer for games that have awesome mods, so I think the most graphically intensive would be an older bethesda game (Skyrim, maybe?). Though, even with beautiful games, I probably won't play on the highest settings anyway, so it doesn't need to be extremely powerful here.
We live in the Netherlands, and right now we have all of the extra peripherals (Screen, mouse, etc.) Current monitor is 1920 x 1080, refresh rate is 60 Hz. Aesthetics are secondary, so we don't want extra lights, sound effects, flashy colors (black preferred), or unusual shapes (box-shaped preferred). We would be connected to the internet via WiFi. We are around 6 meters from the modem, and no walls inbetween, just a closet door. For noise, it doesn't need to be silent, but please not a leafblower. Acceptable sound level around that of a regular laptop. And it we have plenty of space under the desk, so size is not a constraint.
As for the budget, we've seen options that are 500 euros, 800 euros, and higher at the recommended build guides on PC part picker. We expect that we can get the specs we need witihn that range (500-800 euros). If that assumption is not correct, we are willing to spend 1000 euros max.
If you need any other information to help us out, please let me know. We're full on beginners, but excited to get started. :)
title says it all from go crazy from budget to most expensive rtx 5090 is a clear winner but the rest i would like to know whats the cheapest future proof someone can make
hello. im a complete noob when it comes to this but i want to build a pc primarily because i want to dabble in making games as well as graphic design. my normal laptop can run most these apps (photoshop, illustrator, blender, unity, unreal engine, etc.) but my main problem has been the space they take up. im into games like final fantasy 16 (which cannot run on my laptop due to outdated graphics card) but thats probably the most demanding game since aside from occasional rpgs i mainly play visual novels. my budget is around $700-$1,000 but if need be it i can go a bit over. i would need everything as i have no current parts!! thank you.
how would you rate my build? ignore the fact i bought a silver mobo for a black case
Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy a gaming PC but I’m new to all this and need some guidance. Here’s what I’m looking for:

If you could share links to recommendations, builds, or resources to learn more, that’d be amazing! Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out!
Hi, does anyone have a reccomendation for building a pc for under £1000? I already have a keyboard mouse and 1440p monitor. The only way the pc will be worked is for gaming in 1440p... I want it to last and be easy to upgrade one day. Id prefer a smaller case and for it to be quiet. I'd really appreciate any advice because I've never built one before!
Hello I want to build a pc to around 1000 euro or 60000 MKD (my currency) if you can please use this site sklopi.mk it is like partpicker but for the Macedonian market (because partpicker doesn't have my stores).
I have an initial build but I think the CPU will be a massive bottleneck. https://sklopi.mk/share/OWI2YT
PS. I want 1440p gaming
