I just beat Ganon!

I picked up the game about three weeks ago. It’s been an amazing journey exploring, discovering, solving, dying, and increasing my skills and inventory.

Sneaking through the castle was nerve wracking. Dodging guardian laser blasts was close on a number of occasions. The Ganon battles were both difficult and I’m glad that I had hearty food to help get me through it. It was one of the most difficult game bosses I’ve fought in a long time but I’m proud it’s done!

Now to finish the rest of the shrines and memories…

Need some beginner tips

Hello! Just started the game and I’m wondering if you guys have some good tips for beginners. What kinds of items should I sell? How to be better in combat? What should I look for while exploring? That kind of stuff But anything useful that you can tell me I’ll be thankful.

What’s a fast way to get ancient cores?

I am trying to get the ancient armor. I have done all the shrines that give ancient cores and when I kill guardians, they almost never drop them. Is there any faster way to get them?

Emotional Zelda moments?

This may seem a bit random but have you had any emotional moments in Zelda?

Mine was when I was playing Breath of the Wild and I was riding to Rito Village for my second divine beast. I had ridden my horse, Shadow, the whole way. We had Maximum bond and Shadow had four star stamina. I was so proud of him. Then disaster struck.

We were riding down the rode when there was a flying Guardian. I attempted to speed across with Shadow, but we weren't fast enough. We got shot by the flying Guardian. I flew off Shadow. Luckily, I had Mipha's Grace so I survived. Shadow, however, wasn't so lucky.

He lay dead in the flames. I almost threw my switch across the room. Me and Shadow had done everything together. I was so excited to show Shadow the house you can buy in Hateno Village since I was going to sell some stuff to make the rupees. I thought we could be together in there.

My battery died while I was searching for a new horse. I tried to choose a new one, but I knew no matter which horse I chose, they wouldn't be the same as Shadow.

Have you had any moments like these?

First speedrun

So heres my question; i just did my first speedrun of botw after about 8 momths of playing it and i liked it a lit, however im not sure how to compare my time, im a begginer and ive beaten the game twice so far.

I did the butterdogdogwithdabutteronhim% speedrun if you are not familiar you beta the plateau, get butter and put it on a dog. So i got 80 minutes 44 seconds, is that OK for a amateur??

Master sword

I saw that there is a glitch for the master sword without having to get 13 hearts. Should i do it or just play the game normally? This is my first playthrough of the game.

Urbosa is lost for words.

So I was replaying the game on master mode. I never beat the game but I decided it was too easy for me. No I'm not a pro gamer, I suck at most games, but I thought a challenge would be fun. But I played totk for 85 hours since playing botw last (I only started playing Zelda 3 months ago,) so I felt confident. But I still took extra precautions with the boss that cooked me in my first playthrough. Thunderblight Ganon. Neboris was the last divine beast I did, and I got the master sword before the fight. But I still got cooked. I could not land flurries and in phase two I could not get a break. I went through mipha and three fairies and still lost. So I ran it back and something awakened in me or something. I immidetly land two flurry's and get to phase two in record time. I got him with the metal stakes in one cycle, then just cooked him like a hot dog over a bonfire in the middle of a raging volcano. I just landed two flurries immediately. Took no damage the whole fight. The idiot couldn't even hit my shield once and I didn't use daruks protection once. He was dropped in record time and I can't imagine what Urbosa thought afterwards.

How to Trigger a blood moon on the switch version!

I found that if you go to Hateno village. Make a save at the shrine. Reload that save over and over for 3 hours and 30 minutes. Then travel to the 2 rocks east of solewood range. Save and reload. You don't have to repeat the 3 hours and 30 minutes because this creates the infinite blood moon loop glitch. You only have to repeat the 3 hours and 30 minutes when you close the software. (Switch version 100% of the time for me)

The instructions are to save at the shrine. Reload the save at the shrine over and over without stopping for 3 and a half hours. Then go to where the arrow is pointing near the ocean. Make a save, reload that save!

Halloween Link!

My kids loved this Halloween costume and I really liked this as the Champions Tunic, Hylian Tousers and Hylian Hood were my go-to armor when I play BOTW.

This is a super comfortable and washing machine safe zip up hoodie from Amazon and a borrowed Master Sword.

I may or may not have scraped the ceiling during this picture, and my Princess Zelda was not amused!

Our Halloween was a blast and I hope all of yours was too!

Use of the horse

I have the problem that my horse is miles away from my current position. When I call for the horse, I get the message that it couldn't find me because it's too far away. Is there no way in BOTW for the horse to teleport with me to a new location? Because otherwise you would have to ride the horse to the place where you need to go every time. Then teleporting doesn't make any sense to me because you can't use the horse at the new location. Can anyone help me?

I played TotK first, trying to play BotW after TotK makes BotW feel boring.

I decided to play backwards, playing the new one first and the first one second. I have done this with a few other game series and it I think it's a really fun way to do it sometimes because when you go back to play the first game after playing the newer one, there's a lot of OHHH or AHA moments that are really cool to experience in that way. Kind of like how the Star Wars movies were released.

Well, I started playing BotW and so far I have just completed the water beast. I have to say, I am so disappointed with how empty the open world is. In TotK, while exploring you will stumble across lots of caves and secret side areas that were very interesting to me. I loved exploring all those places, and I especially loved the secret areas, those are really cool to discover. But in BotW, there is so little places to explore, so little places to find while exploring. Just little packs of enemies scattered around.

I am very upset about it because TotK was one of the best games I have ever played and I loved every second of it. So I was VERY excited to play BotW and I am really sad to realize that exploration is really boring.

Am I missing something? What makes so many people like BotW more than TotK? I am clearly missing something. I really want to think that there is something more to exploration that I am missing because I want to finish BotW. But I am thinking I would rather just go back and replay TotK. I am very sad about this 😢.

Legend of Zelda reimagining - Souls Like/God of War

I’m thrilled to share my latest project: a redesign of Link from the Legend of Zelda series! I like to call him "Serious Link," as he’s been reimagined for a darker, desolate version of Hyrule—think of it as if the Legend of Zelda were set in a Souls-like universe.

I've put together a short video showcasing Link walking through a shadowy forest. I hope it inspires me to tackle something even bigger in the future.

More shots can be found on my Artstation page - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/bg0LZr

Love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this and let me know if you would like me to post more shots here :)

Just started playing

Hi all new to the Zelda franchise, I must say I’m shocked at myself for not playing it on any previous consoles as I love the whole concept, gameplay etc. I’ve played for about a week on switch and am currently trying to reach Zora’s domain. Any tips or tricks to this game would be greatly appreciated ! So far I’ve gathered that cooking and collecting things will be a main source of survival, the horses aren’t like RDR2 and if you see something slightly weird/out of place, it’s probably a korok. Thanks all !
