Hey everyone,
I plan to have my eyes lasered or an ICL placed (depending on what suits me best). I recently went for a quick scan (at Dr. Goes eye center) and I would be eligible for a SMILE laser treatment.
However, I have suffered from dry eyes due to lens use. Especially last year. The quick scan did not show that they were too dry. Of course, we have to wait and see what the preliminary examination brings. If they were too dry, an ICL would be an alternative. Nevertheless, I know several people with dry eyes (even without a tear duct) who have successfully completed a SMILE treatment.
Are there people here who have had their eyes lasered/ICL placed (perhaps even by Dr Goes) and what were your experiences with this? What were the complications and what was the healing process like?
It is quite an expensive procedure and after reading some "horror stories" I was a bit scared - I wouldn't want to pay 5k for lifelong misery... 🙃 or get serious complications...
Thanks in advance for the response!
I made a quick survey for my school project about the Nutri-Score. Which you can find here: link.
If you have a couple of minutes, your input would really help a lot! Thanks.
Hi everyone,
For my master thesis, I conducted a questionnaire on sustainable consumption among young people (specifically those aged between 16 and 35). I still need more responses and would greatly appreciate your participation.
Your responses will remain anonymous and will be used for academic purposes only.
The questionnaire is a bit long and is in French. It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.
The main target is Belgians, but you are welcome to respond if you are from another country.

Hello people of the Benelux, I am a comedian bringing a very special improvisational format of stand up comedy to your region in May. The show is called Fake Freuds. It is a format where Stand up comedy meets therapy in this show were comedians use humour solve your problems.
You submit your advice-seeking questions anonymously on a piece of paper before the show, the comedians on stage use the power of humour to solve your problems and give you the advice you didn't know you were looking for. We will unpack your problems right in front of you and use punchlines to dispel the stress, after all laughter is the best medicine, and this show is definitely cheaper than therapy.

Hello,
For my PhD research project aiming to create a circular economy and promote the use of renewable energy in Western Europe, we are currently assessing the public acceptance of new carbon processing technologies. I would be grateful if you could fill in this short questionnaire. You will have the chance to win one of the gift certificates from Leonidas (chocolatier) worth €25. The questionnaire is available in Dutch and English.
More information is available through the link.
Thanks for your cooperation!

Hallo,
But I wisened up in time. Contacted the bank, the website, the police, ... All of it. Luckily I don't think there's any true damage done. But I still have their email and their phone number. What can I do with these to make this scammer's life harder to scam others?
Hi All,
I moved to Belgium and work in Luxembourg. I moved about 9 months ago and I would like to share some observations and ask some questions regarding driving styles and driving in general of the people who live here. I apologize if this post comes across as rude or anything like that, but I feel like some things have to be asked and said.
A lot of people don't turn their headlights on when driving in poor weather conditions. Not most, but I'd say 1/5 of motorists on public roads forget to turn their lights on. This is insanely dangerous.
Why don't you guys go the maximum speed limit on highways? (120-130 km/h depending on the country) The inner lane is not for cruising with another car in the outer lane.
You guys drive without the sense of urgency, but to the point that it's infuriating. This is especially true for highways. This is especially true for the Dutch and Letzeburgers.
In Luxembourg, the traffic lights don't have a 'set' phase (red and yellow at the same time to prepare to hit the gas), it just turns green all of the sudden. Due to this, you're forced to look at the traffic lights 100% of the time. Thankfully this is not the case in Belgium.
I'd love to hear the indigenous population's opinions on these driving behaviors.
I wanna go to a camping thats pretty small, not to industrial, and with a lake in the camping. Anyone know where something like this is?
So I live near the water, there's often people fishing here. Some even bring lots of stuff, like a cot, a tent, food and beer and would sleep here to fish at night. It can be a peaceful hobby, no issues there. But there's this one dude who just stays there. Like, for days on end. He sometimes harasses passersby, shouts stuff and even gets into fights. People keep calling the cops, they keep (trying to) catch him, but even when they bust him, after a bit, they have to let him go because his crimes are minor. He's pretty much a known menace at this point in the community.
I've recently moved here and I'm not really somebody who easily accepts stuff like this. I don't like feeling uncomfortable or unsafe when I leave my own home so I'm determined to get rid of him. We shouldn't be scared of him, he should be scared of us (the community and other residents nearby).
What can I do to legally (or creatively looping around the law) get rid of him? I don't want to instigate violence and am looking genuinely for advice.
(I've considered 'dropping' rotten eggs in his tent, ordering skunk or rabbit urine to lure pests and predators to his stuff and tent, ...)
Do you think the benelux should have 1 big army instead of each it's own to be more (cost)effective? We generally have similar values and interests.
