Welcome to Bedroom Bands!
There are so many good musicians out there, all writing and recording in their bedrooms. If you're here, you're probably one of them.
We want to use technology to unite bedroom musicians, and to make possible international collaborations that would have been difficult even 10 years ago. We want to help create bedroom bands with members all over the world!
Just because there's no bassist in your town shouldn't mean you can't start recording your first killer EP.
Just because your singer just quit shouldn't mean you can't get your latest track finished.
Bedroom Bands is the place to meet like-minded musicians and to get your project moving.
To make this Subreddit as easy to use as possible, please use one of the following tags when you post:
[start] to announce a new track or project
[in progress] for a project that you've already begun but which you want to find a collaborator to help you with
[LFG] "looking for group", for bedroom artists that want to announce their availability (before posting an [LFG] post, maybe take a look at some of the existing projects and see if there are any you can contribute to)
[question] to ask the community a specific question
[discussion] to start a conversation about a topic related to being a bedroom musician, or to ask a more general question
[complete] To share your finished Bedroom Bands collaboration. Note: This tag is only for projects that originated on this sub
Please also share your completed project by messaging /u/bedroombands a link to your collaboration as well as details of who did what and the project's genre. I'll then add it to the wiki.
If you post a [start], [in progress] or [LFG] thread, it is best to post a link to a previous project, a video of you playing or a preview of your existing project. This lets other bedroom artists see (hear) what you're all about.
Please don't advertise professional services on this sub

I do have a demo established so far, but I need someone who is good with making instrumentals. My influences are killstation, HIM, Lil Tracy, avril lavigne, etc. I want the song to be intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus outro. More details in chat if you're interested. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

not looking for clicks just likeminded collaborators. Other styles to share.
Hey everyone!
I'm a drummer and have recently started getting into the world of recording and mixing. I consider myself a relatively "decent" drummer, but very much a beginner on the recording and mixing aspect of the musical process.
As a self-learning exercise, I'm looking to provide folks with drum tracks at no charge. I don't mind if you already have a part written out or no drums at all for your tracks. Mainly I'm looking to collaborate on projects that will allow me to learn more than what I've been currently doing for practice, which is recording myself playing covers.
I have my own gear and studio at the moment. Attaching a brief clip of The Free Label's Vanilla Affogato for reference, been really digging their style lately!
I really only need a vocalist and guitarist at least, with none of us having to meet irl and work seemlessly together. I do mixing, piano, drums and sometimes bass. My influences are generalized to songs from depression cherry album from beach house, k from ciggies after sex, early 90's grunge bands like have a nice life, nirvana, slowdive and drop nineteens just to name a few. I have been making music for around 2 years and my discord is Attacky, so if you're interested lmk!
Looking for someone to help transcribe small string ensemble parts, including sourcing players and handling the recording.
It's for rock/pop productions, likely needing a quartet setup. I can provide MIDI parts, these would need to be interpreted and appropriately notated out for each player.
Then recording each part individually yourself or sourcing players to play together and handling the recording.
If you can help with this and are interested please send me a DM with info and prices etc.
Hey guys I wanna do a few covers of some select 80s pop songs. I do vocals (I’ll send you samples). I also do produce a bit so I’d be down to tackle some keys and programming in Ableton. Just wanna do something dope for fun! Realistically only need one guitarist and a drummer that can actually play their instrument and record.
Hit me up and I’ll send you the track I have in mind! (:
Hey everyone I’ve been working on some demos for the last few months and really like where I’m at in terms of a lofi indie cassette sound but I really hate my vocals. I was hoping to find someone who would be interested in joining my music project :)

Hello, this is my first time doing this. I have been thinking of making a mixtape/project with a specific sound in R&B. I am trying to go for a dark rnb sound. My friends and I are all music lovers and make music in different ways, I have been writing rough draft songs mostly for myself to make my own songs since I have been told I can sing pretty well (though I'm still new to it all). My friends produce beats but don't make the sound I'm looking for so I'm seeking for other producers who's willing to develop a project with me; and hopefully grow together if they have a similar vision as me. I'm aiming to go for an experimental dark rnb inspired by the sound of trip hop and dreampop with a bit of old school hiphop & rnb. As much as I love dark rnb from other smaller artists, a lot of it is inspired by trap/electronic while I want to try to use different genre samples to bring to this project. A major inspiration or blueprint that gave me this idea of creating a specific rnb is House Of Balloons by The Weeknd; his debut project, generally produced by Illangelo. If you are familiar with Trilogy, you would know the kind of sound I'm talking about that Illangelo made in the beginning of their career. I have written several songs and would be the vocalist, what I'm looking for is someone, a small producer who can see my vision and help develop it together.

Hello BedroomBands! I'm in a bit of a bind and I wanted to reach out to this community to see if anyone was interested. Ive been playing in a punk/metal band and was supposed to have an EP come out this year. Unfortunately, after months of inactivity, ghosting and otherwise...some members quit, the producer among them, and I have a 6 song EP sitting around with 1/6 songs actually finished.
I don't think there is tons to do left on these remaining 5, but I wanted to reach out here and see if anyone was interested in taking a look at them so I can get it out to the internet before I look for some new bandmates in January.

If interested, drop me a line here or send me an email and I can supply the raw recorded files via Google Drive. Thanks!
Hey :)
I’m a producer, composer, and sound engineer (with a degree) with 15 years of experience in music production. I’m currently building a fresh, professional portfolio and looking for 5-10 motivated artists to collaborate with.
Here’s what I offer for free:
In exchange, I kindly ask for three things:
If you're interested, I’d love to hear about your style and vision. Let’s create something amazing together!
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Best,
Hello there, me (guitarist) and a drummer are looking for a singer, who would like to make music with us. Currently, we have multiple demos we would like to expand into full songs. Our goal with this is to finish the songs, start a band and ideally we'd like to start performing live. We are looking for a singer:
We’re mainly inspired by modern metal bands such as Monuments, Loathe, Tesseract, Vildhjarta, Between the Buried and Me, Periphery and many more. If you’re not listening to any of these bands and would like to work with us anyways hit me up and we will figure it out.
You can check one of our demos here
We’re based in Czech Republic, but we don’t mind working remotely, since we’re both capable of recording and producing ourselves.
If you’re interested, let me know.
I have a song I'm recording now where during the verses there's a question/answer back-and-forth thing going on between the singer and the "crowd". There's no singing, it's just chanting phrases, so if you can't sing, it's not an issue :)
If anyone would be willing to be part of the crowd, I've got the verses and lyrics ready to go:

Hey everyone,
I’ve been a part of this community for a while now, and today I’m stepping out of my comfort zone to share something close to my heart. I’m an independent artist who’s been working multiple jobs, pouring everything I’ve got into my dream of making music that connects on a real, human level.
My debut single, c.a.s./lost in the clouds (interlude), just dropped, and it’s the first taste of my upcoming Invisible Man EP***. This project is for anyone who’s ever felt unseen or like the world doesn’t always value what they bring to the table. I’ve been there too, and this song comes from those raw moments of searching for meaning in a world that feels like it’s moving too fast to notice.***
This isn’t just about music for me—it’s about creating something that resonates with anyone out there feeling the same. I’d love for you to check it out and tell me how it hits. If you’ve got stories of feeling “lost in the clouds” or finding your way out of those moments, I’d love to hear those too.
Here's the link to the single:
c.a.s. / lost in the clouds
I’m incredibly grateful for any support or feedback, and I hope this can be the start of something bigger than just the music.
Yourz Truly,
Mat Bakari
P.S. The full Invisible Man EP drops soon, and this is just the beginning. If you vibe with the track, keep an eye out—I promise the journey will only get deeper from here.
Hi all!
I wrote this song I really like, it's kind of a modern hard rock track with a heavy electronic / synthwave influence. It kind of reminds me of CHVRCHES meets Linkin Park I guess?
Only problem is I can't sing. I would love for a singer to write lyrics and record vocals over my song. You would have complete creative freedom, the only thing I ask is that you let me mix the finished song with your vocals (I need the practice in producing and mixing vocals).
Open to either male or female vocalists. This is purely for fun, this is not paid. If I really like the finished product we'll put it up on Spotify and with split songwriting credit.

We found each other here and started collaborating since February last year. These are some of the first songs we made but it took a while to get them out. I took care of mixing and production (which has a lot of room for improvement) while songwriting is all due to the incredibly talented u/n8ispop.
Hope you’ll enjoy it!
Heya! I’m from New Jersey, and don’t have any talented musicians near me that would be willing to be in a band. I’m 15, and was wondering if I could get a drummer and vocalist (male and female). Primarily a cover band, but I want to also branch out into original music at some point with some help. I’m into The Beatles, Nirvana, Weezer, and 80’s-90s rock! Primarily want to make Beatles covers, but if you’d like to do some other stuff I can compromise! DM me if you’re interested :)
NOT trying to self promote. Just looking to collab. Got 10+ years of Ableton under my belt. Just need a rapper/singer and or a collaborator for beats.
Hello fellow kind hearted apoplectic kitten petters. Want to start a band that will scare the neighbors? I’m going for a raw, blistering, pummeling sound. I can add my wandering through the pysch ward with eyes bulging out of skull lyrics and “singing”. Looking for a guitar player, bassist, drummer, as well as someone who can mix or produce better than I can. Someone who can assist with some agonizing backing vocals would be cool too. If you’re down to let it all out on the tracks, feel free to dm me >:)
Example of the sound I yearn for
I'm looking for music buddies!
I guess I can say I am a "singer/songwriter", I can play a bit of guitar and have some instruments and recording gear at home. I have bits and bobs of songs written here and there, and I am looking for musicians who are interested in working together with me and have fun.
I gravitate around indie/alternative/rock/post-punk but am not locked into a genre. I would like to contribute to projects which are musically in the vein of Mothers, Ian Sweet, Pixies, Hana Vu, Micachu and the Shapes… In terms of voice, my voice is a bit husky and airy. I'd say the songs are a bit cathartic.
You can check this link to have an idea of what I am cooking at the moment

Edit: link should be working now
