So I figured out how to install the modkit and visual studio.
I'm under the impression that I'm editing these resource files in visual studio
But I'm lost after getting that far.
I just want to make a dark road and I cannot for the life of me figure this out. It should be calling on assets, plugging in paths, and writing code to make it actionable.
The problem is that I haven't found an example yet or tutorial.
Hello. I love this game. I love it even more with mods. I used to have a good load order and then I found more but the discrepancy issue is confusing. Some work and some don't depending on order but how do you know what order to put them.
If someone could lend an assist I would greatly appreciate it. I provided some reference pictures of my current load order. They should be in order. I just discovered Japanese flowers so I'll be sad if I have to let that go but I understand.
I often build rows of houses (mostly RK's Medieval Town) but some have these ugly free spaces between them. Does anyone know a mod for decorative objects like high walls with different textures to hide them and connect buildings?
I’m just starting to use the North 7 mod and I’m kinda confused on how the chain of production goes. Ex: I’m trying to build a small trading dock and I need barrows; can’t make barrows without a smiths workplace but also can’t make them without iron fittings; cant make iron fittings without a blacksmith; can’t build a blacksmith without said fittings and I can’t trade for them. What do I need to do in order to create a production flow?
Not looking for anything too crazy. I just want something that adds to the vanilla game. I’ve heard of the Megamod packs, which one is the best?
Hey guys,
Loving the vanilla game so far, haven't been playing that long. My biggest problem with the game so far is i can only do square orchards and farms. I'd love to be able to do 'L' shapes. You know, when a house is in the way, just drag the grid over it and the farm places on every available square or something like that.
Do any of you know about a mod like this? I have been searching but am unable to find one so far..
I'm currently getting more mods for my cyberpunk playthrough and wanted to know if these two mods are compatible? The dev of the mod has locked the comments section, so I wasn't able to ask them. I'd really like to use both these mods (they are on nexus mods), Lizzie to Sasha's Omaha (Edgerunners -- Let You Down Version) and Edgerunner Rebecca's Pistol
Sometimes ideas I come up with are already modded, sometimes not… Much of the river banks are diagonal and limit where we can put waterwheel powered bldgs. Noticed diagonal houses in Megamod, just thinking of similar for all river bldgs.
I love banished but I do kinda wish there was a mod to make it where you can create kingdoms and have court politics and maybe even waring with neighboring settlements I know I could just play ck3 (crusader kings 3) but I feel like it would be a more personal experience with the way banished is set up also if there is a game like that already please let me know
Hi all. I played Banished a while back and decided to try it again with CC. Is this the right place to ask gameplay questions or should I go to /r/banished?
If this is the right place, how can I set a field to a crop I want. My first town starved to death within a few years when I ran out of tools because I didn't have enough iron ore to build a blacksmith, but on a second try I noticed I started with some potatoes, so I made a field, but after it was completed, the field would only grow peppers. Is there some way to set the crop before you build the field?
Another question is how do I get iron ore? From a mine, I assume? Collecting ore chunks of the surface apparently doesn't work for blacksmiths...
So I'm tired of putting limits on all the stuff and need something that makes me able to select sliders or something to specify how much of what specifically like raw foods and refined foods and for materials?
Tried 2 Mods, one from 2014 and one from 2015, neither of them work. Is there an Updated/working mod For 2023 that makes your villagers only use firewood as fuel? Thanks in advance.
Are there any mods that force citizens to walk on roads I build instead of random zigzag paths? I'm so tired of trying to build roads by pathing, trying to remember the path, and then placing the road.
Can someone explain to a noob where to get mods and actually install them? Because I am SO confused lol
So blacksmith and other buildings that uses coal as resources won't accept charcoal. Any work around? Or how do I contact the devs?
I'd love a mod/scenario where the villagers stumble upon an abandoned village - some half-built houses, fields that are empty, maybe even a single fishing lodge and an empty pasture. So resources are used to reconstruct the buildings and then you add to the existing buildings.
Can someone smarter than me make this happen? :)
We need people to keep working on this new version of MegaMod it's been on hieates since near end of 2020
Is there a way for me to download the mods included in MegaMod and CC individually? Both these seem to bamboozle my system and the game keeps crashing!
The title speaks for itself but I added llamas in a giant mod pack and I can't seem to see the meat they produce. Is it something else like mutton? Or is it a specific type of meat?
I move all my farmers to mines in the winter and would like the game to stop in early spring so I don't miss harvesting time. Is there a mod that does this?
Hi! Since I'm seeing that my games will crash no matter what, I might be looking on another way to play Banished. In my villages I tend to want to try and have every type of food or item produced there, so I try to get all the seeds and stock, all food and item producing buildings, with those that have many options (like bakeries) duplicated or more to have one dedicated to each option. Which brings us to my idea: I'm loving the MegaMod, but I miss the dock buildings from RK Editor Choice (like the mining and RNG crab farm) as an example. I also have seen that it has bears and other wild animals, so your hunters will make pelts and that stuff. Which brings me to the other big mod I found: the North. I saw that this one has reindeer and other new/exclusive stuff.
Where can I find tutorials or see how I could try to mix them all to work together? I don't think it will be as easy to make compatible as in Skyrim, but it has to be doable (... right?). All I want is to mix and match some parts of some of these great mods to work together.
Can anyone point me into that direction? Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I'm using MM8 and Realistic Aging, and I'm always experiencing crashes after 2-3 hours of gameplay (and even after reloading my save it always crashes so I'm unable to have a game older that 2-3 hours).
I guess it's crashing because of the aging mod, even though MM8 is supposed to be compatible with aging mods.
So I was wondering if anyone experienced something similar (maybe MM8 isn't correctly installed? I did restart my game after loading the mod before starting a new game), and if anyone knows about any aging mod compatible with MM8.
Thanks !
Trying to get colonial mod along with hard labors and the extra resources mod. How do I get them to work together? Also what's the mega mod?
Hey all. So Im building the Cathedral and it calls for silver/gold bars. I cant figure out how to make them. Any help? Thanks.
Hi all. Does anyone know if there is a supply chain manager mod? One where I can adjust what buildings are producing? I was also wondering if there is a select all buildings mod, or a way to create a click and drag box which will open up all the dialogue boxes for any buildings in the selected area. The town hall has some great stats, but sometimes I can't find certain buildings on the map to switch from say making bricks to making coke fuel in a brickworks. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Below is a screen shot to show how I've been managing all my different supply chains. The other work around I have found is just to overproduce everything and consistently sell off extra stuff at the trader.
Is there any mods with occult and mysticism like in medieval ages? I saw this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/BanishedModding/comments/31dw3o/banished_science_and_superstition/ but it was already 4 years old. Was this created? It sounds cool to have features like this on Banished.
