I’m looking into getting a bigger enclosure for my snake in the UK. Building my own isn’t really an option. I’m wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get them from? Whenever I have a look I only seem to find Vivexotics. Any suggestions?
Hi! I need some help or reassurance… I’m not sure at this point.
My 4x2x2 enclosure broke today. It’s not repairable. My ball python is thankfully okay! She was in a 10 gallon while I was trying to clean her 4x2x2 when it broke.
I’m worried right now. I don’t have spare money to buy another bigger temporary enclosure. I have another 4x2x2 on the way right now but it won’t be here until thursday. I’m just concerned. The temperature is currently okay,
She’s about 2ft long. And she might have to be in this 10 gallon for at least 5 more days. She has water, she has one hide, the temperature is okay and so is the humidity but I’m just scared and concerned that she won’t be okay.
I know she’s uncomfortable right now. Im extremely apologetic to her right now. Will she be okay? Should I just bite the bullet and find a way to buy a bigger temporary enclosure?
Is it worth the money spending on a black box cage for my Bp. Want to get the 4x2x2 with 2 lights . One for regular heating for day and one for those no light bulbs that don’t have light for. Night time. Some times it gets too cold in my house and I don’t want it getting sick. Lmk if u recommend this brand
I messed up my ball pythons feeding schedule and now I’m kinda struggling to get him to eat? What can I do to get him to eat again?
So my baby girl was swapped to f/t recently and it's been going well besides today when I gave it she bit this damn rat like 3 times on the tummy and his like guts or something are hanging out now and she's eating him like nothings different but I had to close the cage because the smell is fucking horrible and I've never seen it heard of this anyone experience this??
Is this normal behavior?
I'm going from a 20 to a 40 gallon and would like to see what others recommend with a day and night cycle for this size
Good evening all, have commonly read on BPs swallowing some bedding when they’re eating and have read that for the most part, it’s ok because it’s actually swallowed. Though I have also read on some cases where this same situation has lead to infections. I didn’t want to try and to take it out manually out of fear of regurgitation or stressing my girl. Any tips appreciated , thanks in advance 🙏🏽

I got my first ball python a couple months ago, he was said to be three years old when I got him, around three feet and 650-700g. The previous owner (breeder) told me that he was being fed every five days, and I didn't question it since I know that some ball pythons have bigger appetites than others. I've been feeding him every five days, and recently he's stopped eating every meal, and eats a fresh rat no problem a couple days after I take the uneaten rat out. I'm thinking that maybe he's grown enough to start feeding him every 1 and a half weeks or something, that maybe he's outgrown his appetite phase now, but every website and information I find contradicts the last, so I don't really know what to believe. I would say every 1.5 - 2 weeks would be good for a three year old his weight, but please tell me if I'm incorrect!!
Kevin finally got to go to the vet for a general health and wellness check. Everything is going great for him, he weighs in at about 648 grams. The vet said he's a bit thick, but not super overweight. I'm so proud of him!
Got him in a quarantine tank. He’s making some sqeaking/ wheezing noises that he hasn’t made until now. What could that be? Ps : other bp looks free of mites, still gonna do the same thing . Any tips?
First time owner and very happy about how this journey has gone
As per the title, if your snake bites and wraps your arm, how can you get them off safely and efficiently?
Is something wrong with my girl?
We brought this guy how from a breeder in late August. They told us he was on f/t medium rats bi weekly. We purchased the f/t medium rats from an expo, and he went a month without eating any. We were offering him one every other week. He showed no interest at all, almost scared when I tried to feed him in his enclosure. I went to Pet Smart to pick up a small rat to see if that would start him eating. He did eat it, but did not strike he went over to it after I put it down. Waited a week then fed him another small rat, same process, he ate. So we were thinking he was fine. Went to go back to a medium rat, won’t eat. Offered two weeks, nothing. Went to get another small rat from pet smart, doing the same process, he somehow threw it in his water bowl, then didn’t want it. Then this week the small rat exploded a little (I was hoping the scent might even help) and he didn’t eat.
Anyone have suggestions? The breeder said he was a great eater, and he is not for me. Husbandry is fine hot side 85, cool 70 and humidity is 70-80. He had a great shed three weeks ago.
Just feeling a little lost, and defeated. My other is a great eater, this guy just is complicated.
I recently got this snake as a rescue from a shitty situation. He has some birth defects like blindness in one eye and a kink in his tail, but is otherwise ok. The people who had him were keeping him in a literal cricket keeper and I’m worried he might have mouth rot too. He’s currently in quarantine and I haven’t had a chance to take him to the vet yet as I only got him yesterday, but I want to make sure he’s ok.
is it bad that i remove his clutter before feeding him? im terrified hes gonna hit a rock or log too hard so i just take them out until he goes back in his hide which he does immediately after eating
