I am Georgian and we have a Communist past, want to be part of EU and NATO, we are Orthodox Christians, everyone Smokes literally, we live in Soviet Apartments, take village vacations, drive some old soviet cars, keep Chacha( grape spirit) in coke bottles, we also have Kompots. These are quite a few similarities with Balkans that I think we share. Many Georgians also seem to feel culturally close to the Balkans. Do you guys feel the same about us?
I just watched this documentary which I found really informative and objective. Unfortunately it is only available in German or French. Maybe someone can do something with this. I have posted both links, but I don't know how long the films will stay online.

Hello guys!
I am planning a trip to the Balkans, and I am a bit confused about the transportation from Sarajevo or Mostar to Tirana. I am checking some websites but, cannot book ahead or see any schedule.
Any advice, please?
Also, are there any trip recommendations for cities around Tirane worth visiting?
My mum never went to go live with my dads parents in albania but my step-mum did and I see a lot of east-european/balkan married couples where the wives go to live at their in-laws house with the husband. Does this mean that the in-laws like you? Or is it a way of them showing that you are now a part of their family?
My GF wants to watch the Weight of Chains with me I heard its heavily biasef towards Serbians and she already thinks Serbia is almost this faultless victim which no country ever is. Is there any form of content that we could watch that can give us the history of the Balkans with maybe a Serbian focus as well not holding back on the Serbian atrocities too?
Hello my fellow Balkan people
I am looking at developing a product for the Balkan market. Currently I am trying to gather a bit of data on peoples preferences when it comes to charging versus replacing a battery in a unit.
There are different preferences depending on where you live in the world and ofc. what type of a person you are. I know that many on Reddit are pretty tech savvy but I am still curious on your take.
So.
Would you rather:
A) charge the device once a month?
or
B) replace a battery once a year?
If A, would you prefer to charge with USB A, B or C?
Thank you in advance.
Like Italy (In particular South of Italy) is so similar to the balkans
??
In Western Thrace there are villages with a high proportion of Turkish and Pomak speaking people. It's difficult ot fin statistics about this, so perhaps someone from Echinos, Kentavros, Xanthi or Komotini... could give me some insights on the language that is used in daily life in these communities? Do the people living here use Turkish, Pomak or Greek at their homes (or a mix of the three)?

Hello!
I am in the US and have been doing a deep dive into my ancestry as it has been a long-told tale that our family immigrated from Italy generations ago. Come to find out, a distant relative immigrated from Yugoslavia (he wrote that, Croatia, and Serbia on different government documents way back in the day). This is particularly funny bc I have an uncle who has fully embraced his "Italian heritage"
Anyway, I've found more documents supporting his birthplace being Petrovo Selo, Yugoslavia, 1884 - which I understand could be current-day Croatia or Serbia. I've also found another document of an 1809 Baptism of a potential relative taking place in Petrovov Selo - photo attached. Are Petrovo Selo and Petrovov Selo the same place?
Is anyone able to potentially translate this document to help me narrow down where exactly these folks were located? I'd love to plan a trip to the area with my dad one day to see where his family came from, but it would be awkward if we later found out we went to the wrong country.
