Hey BOLC thread! I have a place at the Flats at McArthur and looking to fill a room starting at $350/Month with all utilities included in that price. For reference the BAH for 2LTs here is $1083 so you’ll be pocketing a good amount. It’s a fully furnished room and has its own bathroom. The Flats are 10-15 minute drive from base and in a nicer part of town. You can DM me in here or on insta: travis_wu_
I see a lot of people looking for roommates for FA BOLC. I thought this was a TDY and you wouldn’t need to get an apartment, but clearly that’s not the case. What determines if you pcs or tdy to FA BOLC?
Looking for a roommate at the Flats at MacArthur on or around November 22nd. Rent including utilities is $350 to $375 a month. Unit is fully furnished and each bedroom has full bathroom.
BOLC and non BOLC are welcome. DM me if interested.
Hello all,
I am a freshly new OC here at OCS. As of now my choices for branching are based on limited information. Of course, MI is high on my list but I know how competitive that is. I have had MP high on my list for a while because it seems like a job I could do well at and also I have my eye on joining federal law enforcement once I get out. Engineer is also rising up my list even though I was not a STEM major in undergrad or grad school. I have also heard going combat arms with an MI branch detail is a good way to get experience and then do MI Do any new 2LTs or other young officers have any advice or be willing to talk about this? For reference I have a bachelors in history and political science and a masters in international relations and homeland security policy. My 5 year goal is that I want to drop a packet for the Army;s funded legal education program (FLE) once I make captain and become a JAG so any knowledge or advice about that is a bonus! Feel free to reply to this or PM me, I will respond when I am able, access to my electronics is limited in black phase here. Thank you very much.
Hi,
I’ve heard you can bring pets and have seen in welcome letters that you are not. I have a dog and no family or friends that can watch them while I am at bolc. Does anyone have experience with pets at bolc? More specifically MI BOLC.
Thanks
Spare me the “get your shit together” and condescending speeches. I know I need to get my shit together and I’m working on it. I am not out of reg and have been exercising daily, but I bloat like CRAZY after eating and am nervous. However, just a general question.
As a national guard office going to AG in January, what happens if I fail the initial HT/WT there?
currently scheduled for ebolc on january 6. anyone willing to swap for a ebolc date in november?
Looking for a roommate at the Flats at MacArthur starting around November 22nd. Rent including utilities is $350 to $375 a month. Unit is fully furnished and each bedroom has full bathroom. DM me if interested.
Hi all,
I am a newly commissioned reservist looking to swap for a later BOLC date to minimize some pretty significant conflicts with my civilian job. My report date is currently 3/03. I appreciate it!
Anyone else?
My employer is recommending they let me go and hire me back when bolc is finished. I am assuming by doing so they are attempting to evade paying me commission for my sales job. I do not expect my salary while I am away but at least the commission.
Has anyone had a similar situation?
Anyone who is at FA BOLC or just was here use their PC and have internet issues? Did yall have any fixes for that or anyway to better the connection?
I know if you're at the IHG they gave you a pw to use, but I haven't had to put it in anywhere so I was confused on that much. If any of you have any tips what I could do to make the connection run smoother! :)
Anybody looking to go later in March 25?
Hey! Anyone attending IBOLC in February and would possibly want to share housing? Let me know!
I commissioned Active Duty from ROTC in FY24, I have no prior service, and I have yet to report to BOLC B. Has anyone with the same background and component gained access to their @army.mil Outlook and Army365 applications before reporting to BOLC B? I ask because my BOLC sends important pre-reporting info via mil email and requires access to Teams prior to arrival.
Here is what I know so far, based on calls to the Army Enterprise Service helpline:
I have a basic Army365 account, i.e. I can log on within Army Virtual Desktop to an empty Army365 with no applications. Going directly to Outlook in AVD gives me an error. This is because the license has not been granted/sponsored. My CAC is working fine for all other sites.
If I were in a unit, I’d contact my S6 to request the assistance of an Entitlement Manager or Group Manager. Due to my component, I don’t have a current unit and my E-ICAM shows “No EM/GM Information found” under the My Self-Service tab.
My cadre from my ROTC program did not foresee an issue when I commissioned. One of them tried asking a USACC BDE POC but had no luck. I got a hold of a TRADOC EM and they said to get with my instructor.
I’d really appreciate any leads so the answers can be shared to program cadre and any other 2LTs trying to stay informed and prepared.
Anyone reporting Nov 18 to Arizona want to make a group chat?
I took my ACFT and had HT/WT on September 14th, 2024, and report to BOLC November 18th, 2024. On the MIBOLC Pre-Execution Checklist it says I need to have both of those done within 45 days of reporting, but my last test was 65 days before reporting. It's more than likely a stupid question, but do I need to take another ACFT and do HT/WT again before BOLC, or is it okay that it was 65 days out? I just need to know if I am contacting my readiness NCO to schedule these things for a second time.
Hey y’all quick question, how much should I save for IBOLC? I heard we won’t get payed until 3 months in. I just want to make sure I have enough and if there is any tips. Also what happens if we have nothing saved for IBOLC? Thanks again!
Hi I’m currently slotted to go to MI BOLC March 2025 but I’m having some conflict with the timing since it ends in July and I have dental school that may start June. If you’re in the November or January class please let me know because I’d really appreciate switching with someone who wants to go later!

Hey y’all, I’ll be attending EBOLC on Nov 4 2024 and have yet to receive my orders. Been checking my email and IPERMS almost everyday. Branch Manager said HRC should be sending it within 30 days of my class date, but haven’t received anything. Does anyone know how to get in contact with HRC or the best course of action. Also, anyone in this class receive their orders already?
I am looking for a date trade for MPBOLC. I am slotted for 02FEB2025 report date, looking for any later dates.

Anyone take paternity leave in between OCS and bolc dates? My husband doesn’t have orders yet, currently still in OCS, but was planning on talking to branch manager to see if he can get bolc date pushed out to be able to take paternity leave.
Hi, I will be commissioning very soon (15 Nov) dates of ABOLC pending. I have a son and husband (Enlisted Artillery). We are currently at Ft Bliss. I know ABOLC is considered a PCS move for active duty, but no one can give my husband a direct answer on whether he’d be able to go with us, and no one really knows on my end either. We are ofc registered in DEERS and as soon as I commission we’ll put in for the dual military program - but does anyone here know? It would take a big weight off my shoulders if the answer is yes
I am a male 1LT. I’m offering an unfurnished room in my 3 bedroom house. You’d have your own bathroom and I do not mind company or if you bring a pet. 15 minute drive from Chicken gate. PM me for further details.
Have an unfurnished spare bedroom and bathroom in my apartment in Lawton, I am male 22. I don’t care about visitors or anything and very easy going. Don’t mind if you’re intro or extroverted, I keep to myself anyways. Lease ends in May and rent is a bit over 670 a month, dm if interested. Living space has a lot of room, I have no pets but I don’t mind if you have one.
I know I do it on IPPSA, but what exactly do I submit? If anyone has done the request and can help me out it would be appreciated.
Also, I called my school's HR office like 6 times and they dont bother picking up so i am here now.
I am having a hard time scheduling MI BOLC as a reservist. Everyone says your unit does it but it seems nobody at my unit has any idea how to do it. Any and all tips would be much appreciated.
