It’s taken me 16 months from commission to now to get a reservation for next year in 2025. Still pending orders and about to be 30 days out this Friday. You’d think they’d have you squared away and not scramble at the last minute forcing their panic on to you.
The Army has been absolutely wilding trying to demand everything short of their soul from soldiers but can’t even schedule things in a timely manner. I feel like I can’t plan anything in my career without some hang up happening or the S1 taking lunch at 0800.
I’ve also experienced rank and pay issues and that took about 6 months to correct. Didn’t even have rehire orders so was just kind of floating.
Idk post y’all’s experiences or whatever.
Anyone reporting to SBOLC March? Also, will I receive BAH for my apartment back home? Or how does that work. Do I need to bring a lease?? Thanks in advance.
Have 2 rooms available in my 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house. Rent is 700/month including utilities. Located 15-20 minutes from base. I’m 2nd LT at 4-60th ADA and live with my dog currently. Below is a link to the property for pics.

I am QM reservist currently slotted for BOLC in October any chance anyone has an earlier date and wants to swap.
I’m married, dual military at Ft. Liberty currently, TDY en route to Campbell after. We’re stationed together right now, but will be geobachelors with my new PCS.
Will I be receiving BAH at BOLC? Tracking I’ll be living in the hotel, just curious what my entitlements will be so I can plan our family budget.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that 17A’s and 17B’s will be combined ala 19A with Armor/Cav, and that the curriculum will change accordingly. Any idea if this is true and when it’ll go into effect?
Looking for a third roommate down at Novosel with report dates of March/April. PM me if you are interested, 3 Bed, 2 Bath, less than 20 minutes from post with a pool. Extremely close to Common Core airfields and a quiet neighborhood.
Hi. If im attending BOLC as a TDY in route, as an officer do i have to stay at the hotel on post? I cant live off post and receive BAH. The thought of staying in a hotel for that long is dreadful. Trying to plan ahead here. I'll be going in August Next year.
Reservist with the 008 slotted MI BOLC on May 12th seeking an earlier day from either the Feb to April dates slot. If anyone is interested, please DM me.
For those heading to BOLC sometime over the next 6 months, what worries you most? The course material? Moving to a new place? The fitness? The unknown?
Is it possible to get sapper school included in orders to ebolc following OCS if active duty? Or do you have to do the train up?
Looking for someone to trade for Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
I’m a reservist going to EBOLC. I’m debating whether or not to bring my desktop due to internet. I know I’ll be in a hotel on base but idk if the hotel will have Ethernet or internet or how the hotel set up will be. So here are my questions
Rooming - will I be in a single bed or double?
Internet - will hotel have Ethernet or at least a decent wifi?
Desktop - is it even worth bringing? It’s a six month bolc and as an avid gamer I want to still be able to enjoy myself.
If someone from the National Guard attends EBOLC and is on TDY orders, do they get per diem, BAH for their place back home, and base pay?
Anyone at chem BOLC now or recently graduated available to provide some info?
I’m schedule for Jan 2025. Just trying to get the latest on any changes to the course and some tips.
(All the previous posts are pretty dated).
TIA!
Anyone here heading to MP BOLC in DEC?
I’m a Reservist currently slotted for the April 2025 MI BOLC at Huachuca, and need to find someone in the June or July 2025 courses to swap with. If anyone is interested please DM me.
This is there only way to swap course dates per the current HRC policy of slotting courses without seeking preferences, even for Reservists or Guardsmen.
Anyone have any experience snowbirding at Ft Leonard Wood? Situation: spouse will be 35 weeks pregnant upon OCS graduation and trying to push bolc date to take paternity leave and to pcs. Can you ask to be a snowbird so that orders reflect pcs and not tdy?
anyone else attending ebolc on jan 6? is there a group chat i can join?
Trying to get myself as prepared as possible and looking over what gear I have. When I commissioned, my program took all of my gear except for my OCPs (that I bought) and my PT uniforms.
I’m attending LOGBOLC in January and curious about what gear they will issue out to us especially any cold or wet weather gear, if anyone has been to bolc yet.
I’m looking for a roommate at the Flats at Macarthur. Rent is $375 per month and unit is furnished. Complex has a 24 hour gym, pool, grilling area, and each room has its own private bathroom. It’s one of the two best apartment complexes in Lawton. Best part is you’ll pocket some of your BAH.
Found out Im going to Ft Bliss after IBOLC, anyone wanna swap?
I know its a good spot for mech but Id prefer OCONUS or Light, lmk
I’m preparing to commission into the Army Nurse Corps, expecting to ship out to DCC/AMEDD BOLC as soon as February. I received a waiver for ADHD earlier this year, but now I’m contemplating resuming medication, and I want to ensure I handle this correctly without jeopardizing my position.
Background: I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and successfully managed it with medication for over a decade, which contributed to numerous academic and professional achievements. During the 2023 Adderall Shortage™️, I was unable to fill any such prescriptions, and simply had to adapt by developing new coping strategies. Luckily, I made it work, ultimately helping me secure my ADHD waiver. My final Adderall prescription was in December 2023, MEPS in March 2024, waiver approved in April 2024, and I signed my Army Nurse Corps contract in September 2024 (currently “Officer-Select”). Note that for the waiver letter, my provider (a telehealth PA) documented my prescription history but didn't address my symptoms. However, my letters of recommendation were recent, and honestly reflect my achievements and commitment.
I’ve been off medication for almost a year, but lately, life is catching up with me.While I am managing well, I know I performed significantly better with treatment. On Adderall, I was more productive, focused, and capable, and I miss that version of myself. I get by, but everything requires considerably more effort. Professionally, I’m performing well thanks to experience and passion for my work, but I find it more challenging to focus on boring tasks, manage my time effectively, and avoid interrupting people in social settings. I’m worries that without meds, I’ll have a harder time at DCC/BOLC, where I’m expected to excel.
My recruiter is supportive and said it’s fine to start meds as long as I have a valid prescription and a provider’s note. They assured me that having ADHD meds in my system at DCC/BOLC wouldn’t be an issue, since I’ve already passed MEPS and my waiver has been approved.
But I’ve heard horror stories about people getting kicked out for less, and I definitely don’t want that to be me.
My options:
1. Get a Prescription but Don’t Fill It—Wait to Start Once I Ship Out
Pros:
Cons:
2. Stay Off Meds Entirely
Pros:
Cons:
3. Start Meds Now (with proper evaluation, documentation, and guidance) (I'm leaning towards this option now)
Pros:
Cons:
Has anyone navigated a similar situation, or does anyone have insights on how to approach this? I want to ensure I am making the best decision for both my performance and compliance with Army policies. Thank you 🙏🏼
Hello, currently scheduled to attend EBOLC Sept 2025 and would prefer to go early in 2025 (or at least earlier). Let me know if you are interested.
Does anyone know what number to call for an advancement of pay for Ft Moore? My orders say I’m authorized an advance of pay, I only need enough to pay for first months rent. Thank you in advance for any help.
Can anyone give me a rundown of finance BOLC? What is a typical day in the life of a finance BOLC student? Is it super stressful or is it crazy?
Hi I’m a MS Officer, I’ve got a room open ( Jan/Feb) in a house, less than 20min from post in Raeford. Anyone that is looking to save on BAH. Let me know :)
I currently have a March 2025 BOLC date but would like to attend BOLC later in 2025. Does anyone have a later slot that would be interested in swapping? I am a reservist and preferably would like to switch with another reservist (not sure if different components can swap). Thank you!
