Hello all !
i'm considering a vertical monitor, for multiple reasons, adding a workspace for Gimp and Krita
Youtube, and various flexible things i'm unaware off
i've got a AOC 32 inch 2K monitor with a for now still onboard GPU
what would be a nice "first time Vertical monitor"?
How does it fit? Can anyone please share some pictures?
Hi all,
I am considering to purchase two FO27Q3's. To minimize desk clutter, I was hoping to utilize the monitors' built in KVM switches for mouse, keyboard, and headset, so that it's connected to both my stationary PC and a docking station for my laptop.
While I have been able to locate a lot of external KVM switches for dual monitors, I have not been able to find the answer to my question: will the above set-up work? Can I "link" the monitors together like that?
Thanks in advance :)
Moving this set up, which includes 3 monitors, a laptop ( for work) and my ps5 into my "gym" work out room. What recommendations can you offer to make this less "crammed"
I'll have an access point/switch, a lenovo hub, 3 Phillips Hue Lights, pixel watch and usb c chargers within this set up as well
Looking for a monitor arm that extends to 30” or close to and can support a 34” uw monitor
Best I can find are ones that stretch out to 25.6”
Any recommendations on triple monitor mounts I have two asus 27" monitor side by side and want to put a 32 inch tv above and have all three on the mount also cant mount the tv to the wall.
What's a good on budget <$150 chair for both gaming and work?
Hi all,
I'm putting together an "office" and want to have an L desk. I've found that two Lagkapten would fit my corner nicely it's just an issue because I'd want a different darker type of wood.
Does anyone have any websites/stores or wisdom on this? (If anyone has any LED straps to recommend that would also be appreciated)
My wife and I work facing each other on a standing desk we built. I recently got her a 34" ultra wide curved monitor since she has so many documents open, and am considering getting one for myself, mostly for gaming. We would each have our 27" monitors, which she definitely wants to use on the side; I'm between just using the new ultra wide or having my old 27" on the side.
To summarize, we each have a 34" curved ultra wide and a 27" non-curbed monitor, both pairs facing away from each other from the center of our desk. For now my plan is just to sit them all on their original stands on the desk, but my question is if there's an optimal and/or cleaner way to set this up with arms and such? I have no experience going beyond using the stock stands.
Thanks.
I'm 36 (maybe 35 who can remember?) and most monitors I've had are like 23". The two I use now were provided by my work and they're a bit crap. They do everything I need them to do, I guess but I also game and feel I should probably upgrade.
Most of the 4k or 244hz monitors out there are larger form factor. I want something smaller, I also liked my monitor that had built in speakers in the past but it's not a must.
I've lost touch and don't know what brands are actually good anymore and feel simultaneously overwhelmed by the number of choices and underwhelmed by those available closer to the 23" range.
Any advice?
Greetings all! I recently ordered a new desk: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNG2LFWV?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title&th=1. I am wanting to run LEDs around the upper white metal portion of the desk measuring 60 inches by 55 inches, so 115inches total. I want the install to look very clean and not have lights hanging in odd places when plugged in. Speaking of my plug in, the plug will be in the middle of the 60 inch side of the desk. What all will I need to do this? I looked at some Govee sets, but I am not understanding how you would run the LEDs cleanly on an L-shaped desk Thank you very much for any assistance any of you all can give me.
I need some help with brands, ive looked into flexispot e7 plus, uplift desk, amazon, or ikea, what do you guys recommend?
I'm currently using a 32" 4K monitor for work, gaming, and personal use, but lately, it's felt a bit cramped when using it for work, even though I'm running at 4K with 125% scaling.
I previously had a 34" 1440p ultrawide which I liked, but I prefer the sharpness of text on the 4K/32" PPI. I'm considering getting a second 32" 4K monitor, but I have some concerns:
Do you have any suggestions or alternative setup recommendations?
Recently purchased a 6ft L x 39 in W unfinished butcher block.
I planned on using Two IKEA ALEX drawers on either side and three legs for the back (top left and right corner and middle).
Is this a plausible option ? If so do I need to do anything other than just placing it on the drawers?
Hi, I have a hybrid gaming/sim racing setup at my desk. It's a triple monitor setup that currently has a 32" 1440p as the main and two 24" 1080p monitors as support screens. This holiday season I'm planning on getting two more of my 32" main so that I can finally use triples spanning all three screens properly.
That being said, I'd also like to get reactive lighting for them since that seems like a pretty easy gift idea that I can tell people I want this year, and I'm imagining sim racing on spanned triples with reactive lights would be an epic experience. I've only ever seen them on single screens or ultrawides though, so I'm wondering if anyone has a triple screen setup with ambient lighting that they'd like an excuse to show off so I can get an idea of what it looks like in use, (both in extended desktop with different applications on each screen and one application spanned across all three if possible) and talk a little bit about setup and product recommendations.
Since I'd be asking others to buy these for me for Xmas, I'd like to keep the cost at a maximum of $100-$150, but if a more expensive kit is really that much better, then I'll probably just buy them myself. As for the product recommendations, they're going on a PC, so I'd rather the reactivity be driven by a PC program rather than an HDMI hub or something similar that would butcher my refresh rate. Lastly, from the little bit of searching I did, I saw a lot of DIY recommendations, but I'd rather avoid that if possible. I just want something simple, take it out of the box, stick it on the monitor, plug it in and go.
I have the IKEA LAGKAPTEN desk top which is quite thick, but made of particle board. The monitor arm is so strong it’s crushing the particle board and clamping into the board. This causes it to tilt forward and I worry that the desk will just break at some point and the whole thing will fall apart. I need an alternative.
I have heard good things about butcher blocks. But even butcher block reviews sometimes say they aren’t strong enough for multiple monitors. Looking for suggestions for a desk topper that will be strong enough to hold my dual monitor arm (vertically stacked, clamps to the back of the desk), preferably that I could drill into without cracking as I have the ikea drawers in the front and drilled in legs in the back. Is this possible? Or do I need an entirely new base too?
I'm planning a setup to build in my room and as of now the PC I will be building is purely for performance and not really aesthetics, I'm asking for the best way I can hide it? I have a VWINDESK 80"x30" desk top with the adjustable legs to it, as well as an IKEA Alex drawer sitting next to the desk.
Would it be a good idea to modify the alex drawer to have the PC able to fit inside and drill holes so the air can flow through?
I have my headphones (Sennheiser HD600s) usually plugged in to the case audio jack itself but hate having the wire dangle there and over time has bent the jack. I wanted to get the wire out of the way and plug in to the audio jack on my motherboard in the back of the pc so I can route the wire below and behind my desk as I clean up my messy wires.
Problem is the sound doesn’t sound as good and I’m wondering what other people might do at their desks or if there’s a sound setting to optimize it better. I could also plug it into my monitor which I’ve done but again, sound is even worse that way. Any advice would be appreciated and curious how you guys do it
Don't know how else to word the question but hopefully I can explain it well enough to get an answer.
I have built a golf simulator at my house and i have 4 monitors (projector, pc monitor, 2 tvs). Right now i use an HDMI splitter for my PC monitor and the projector to make it easier to control the golf software.
The way the room is setup 1 of the TVs is around the corner from my PC stations so it's hard to work on it when I'm setting up the program that runs on it.
I was wondering if there was some sort of solution similar to how a KVM works but just for monitors. Hit a button on a device and my PC monitor is a mirror of either the projector, TV1, or TV2.
You can get an idea of the layout from my post here
My wife and I love playing on our consoles together in the same room. Our current place has a family room where our tvs are side by side and it’s the best. Our new house has a great living room but I have no idea how to get a similar set up. We’re excited because the master bedroom is off the main room so we won’t want a tv in the bedroom. They’ll be right outside the door!
It’s a classic vaulted ceiling wall with the point at the center. 12 feet 10 inches of wall to the left of center, a six foot (and change) stone hearth (stone goes all the way up the wall) and then 5’4” to the right of the hearth.
The wall to the left of the 12’ section has the doors to the back deck so it will need to open comfortably. The room is 14’ deep and backs up to the kitchen so the seating can’t go all the way back. I think this would make putting one of the tvs above the fireplace a problem because the tv might be too high.
I would love for it to all feel like one cohesive space since the fireplace works but have no idea how. Putting the two tvs to the left feels lopsided and then I have no clue what to put to the right of the tv. We don’t have anywhere near enough furniture for this house so that’s on the table as well.
I currently have two 27" monitors (one horizontal and the other vertical) and I find it way overkill.
I'm trying to settle for something more reasonable like 19", 21" or 24".
Hi there. I’ve been eyeing up the Vivo dual monitor mount to mount my 2x Samsung Viewfinity S9 monitors on my desk. The mount seems like a great value for something that looks pretty impressive. Any objections there?
Second - and here’s where I’m being a bit of a dummy and am prepared for you all to tell me as such. The mounts say that they’re rated for 22 lbs per monitor. Th Samsung Viewfinity S9’s are reported to be…. 23 lbs each. Do any of you have a slightly-heavier-than-22-lb monitor on one of these mounts? Would I be dumb to try doing this / asking for disaster?
I have a budget of 2000 dollars whats the best setup i can get in black with the h5 flow
I’ll try my best to elaborate on what I mean. I have a desk with 2 monitors, my pc, the whole shebang. I also have a dresser right next to it that extends to the end of the room that I’d like to spruce up a bit and add a spare ultrawide that I have for movies and stuff when I’m in bed. How can I smoothly go from using 2 monitors on my desk to just the one monitor on my dresser without having them all on at the same time? Maybe that’s a weird question, but I’d like to do so if possible. Many thanks in advance. If this doesn’t work, I’ll prob just turn it into a console station.
I have a LG 34GN850B center mounted with a LG 24QP500B mounted in portrait on the left side using a Huanuo dual monitor arms (the one with USB cables)
I am getting another (2) ViewSonic VG2440 monitors from work and want to know what is a good configuration for all 4 of these monitors and how would I go about mounting them in your suggested fashion
My initial thoughts are move the 2K 24" monitor centered above the 34" ultra wide and the. Put the two 1080p monitors portrait mounted on either side of the ultra wide.... But don't know what monitor arms are good for that or not.
Space is not an issue, my desk measures to 89" x 40" and will be getting a Balolo desk shelf in due time as well
Non diy or used please
I've just bought a light bar, should i connect it to my pc or to an external usb power supply?
hi everyone! I have a lian li dynamic evo case, and unfortunately because of that it's been difficult for me to try and find a desk with a lower shelf compartment that would fit it. the dimensions are (D)465mm - 18.3" x (W)285mm - 11.2" × (H)459mm - 18.46". if anyone has a similar sized case or the same one, please let me know how you manage with it. anything helps. thanks!
Are there any good drawers with wheels that are at most 25" tall? I need them to fit underneath my sit stand desk but I also want them to have wheels so I have the versatility to easily move them around. Ideally the drawers aren't super deep and instead are shallow like the Ikea Alex drawers
I live in Canada so having options that are purchasable in Canada would be a great help.
Hi, I am about to buy two 27" monitors and was thinking of getting either a dual monitor arm or two single monitor arms to set them up. The single monitor arm would provide the most flexibility from what I have been able to find.
I will be using them in a setup where one of the monitor is centered, while the other is to the right at an angle. I don't have much space behind my desk or outside the desk to the right. My ideal setup would look something like this:
I'm curious to hear if anyone of you have managed to create a similar setup or have any tips on the best way to achieve this.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: the picture may show what looks like a dual monitor arm, but I am very much open to two single monitor arms if that is the best approach.
